My serology report came back a few weeks ago. I got to experince what this protozoan can do to a person. What you failed to add in is that toxoplasma is a lyme coinfection as well.
Pretty much of the symptoms you mentioned go hand in hand with my daughter´s and I´s experience.: Poor working memory, slow in processing information but it can also cause personality disorders, poor vision, encephalitis, heart problems and it loves the brain.
Thankfully I was aware that something was off when I got infected. Had to take biofilm busters to release the toxoplasma to be picked up in my blood. I´m currently treating mine and have like two more weeks to go after which my daughter will be in line to treat this thing.
DO not take it lightly. It doesn´t go away by itself. It took about a year and a half for my daughter to start complaining of vision loss was irritable all the time and had poor performance in school. Since starting treatment, I can see improvements in my eyesight and I´m more calmer.

It turns out we all are more than likely to have this thing In our brains haha that's crazy, apparently in healthy people it stays semi dormant trapped in self made bubble like cysts that seem to consist of toxins that are capable of influencing reward based neurotransmitter inhibition in patterns we have for some reason yet to research despite the fact literally billions of people are chronic hosts, and when I say chronic I mean that thing gets stuck in there for literally ever apparently. In the examined corpses 30-80% turned out positive for toxo cysts in a few organs namely the brain, so anecdotally that thing outlives us and leaves no obvious symptoms for us to notice unless we become immuno suppressed through literal aids or pregnant (sometimes it goes unnoticed and passed to the offspring).
If I carry this I am interested in
      A) how has this parasitical agent affected the development of my personality and by extension my life via messing with key reward neurotransmitters and
      B) what kind of a person would I be given I wasn't a carrier, how different would my personality and life turn out over the years and of course
      C) if modern medicine claims that there couldn't possibly be a way to kill the cysts and remove the parasites, how are we supposed to cope with the fact half of humanity has worms in their brain that might or might not be symbiotic with us and not mess our brain chemistry, and no research or studying is being made about it for whatever reason.
Some looney science teacher conducted an amateur study once with like 50 students and found out carriers are more likely to go through traffic accidents. This is LITERALLY all the research we have done on a parasite that lays dormant in the heads of potentially 2-5 billion people.

You are not at all to blame for this. What is causation anyway? What micro organisms have spread all across the world is NOT your responsibility as an 11 year old. And wanting a pet is very normal and good for your mental health and development. You’re mixing up the stochastic nature of life with causation, because you think something or someone has to be blamed for this tragic event in your life, but the truth is that it could simply not have been forseen.

Just a simple etiotropic (antiprotozoal) therapy:
Use a combination of pyrimethamine with sulfonamides.
      Pyrimethamine - 75 mg per day, once, orally during the first 3 days of treatment, then 25 mg per day, once from the 4th to the 7th day of treatment;
sulfadisine 500 mg 4 times a day, orally for 7 days
or (if sulfadisine is not well tolerated):
Pyrimethamine (according to the above scheme) in combination with clindamycin 450 mg 4 times a day, orally for 7 days.
      1 course of treatment.
at the same time, calcium folinate is prescribed at a dose of 2-10 mg per day, orally for the entire period of treatment with etiotropic drugs.
      or
co-trimoxazole - 480 mg (sulfamethoxazole 400 mg + trimethaprim 80 mg) 1 tablet 2 times a day for 10 days. Take 2 courses with an interval of 10 days. At the same time, calcium folinate is used at a dose of 2-10 mg per day.
P.s. It's not really a cure since there is no certainty that toxoplasmosis would be completely eradicated. Consider as well re- and superinfection.

The problem is your immune system will indeed fight it, but the infection/Toxoplasma retreats and nests into your Brain hiding out as latent cysts. These cysts are impervious to most known drug regimens and are kept hidden from your immune system. However, recent studies have now shown that these once thought “latent” cysts are altering and influencing processes that occur in your Brain that result in the cognitive changes demonstrated in this video.

, blind and mentally retarded. He advised me to terminate the pregnancy only after the amniocentesis which would determine whether it was in the amniotic fluid or just placenta? This was so long ago. Anyway, I was heartbroken and so scared not able to tell anyone that I was pregnant because I didn’t know if I would have to terminate the pregnancy. But there was a miracle! I went to a midwife that told me I was negative for it!

Judging by your comment, you seem adequately self-aware and intelligent. So, perhaps, simply learn to NOT be like that. You’d be surprised at how much of your personality can be manipulated through conditioning and training. As for the alcoholism: make it your single goal in your life to quit. Then, from there on, move forwards. Try a carnivore diet; you’ll be so well nourished that you’ll be high on life and won’t need a drop of external stimulants. Good luck.
