To add onto that I experienced psychosis after having my cat for many years. After doing a parasite cleanse in 2016 I not only got rid of the psychosis, Suicidal Thoughts depression and other risky behavior like speeding while driving left. Then I was exposed to another cat in 2022 in some of these thoughts have managed to come back so I'm going to have to do another parasite cleanse.😢
They say that to remain comfortable and not except the reality of the actual trade off of having a cat. I just had to leave a house that had a cat hoarder, they shit and pissed in her room and the smell was driving me crazy, even after leaving the house for weeks I still haven’t feel normal and I swear it’s because I was constantly breathing in the air being in the room right next to hers. She went from 2 cats the 10 then 10 to 20 in the matter of 3 months, she has to enjoy living in it because any other human in their right mind would have at least cleaned up the shit.
TNR should advance to TNC (Trap Neuter & Contain). Meaning that feral and other outdoor cats should be sheltered and removed from the outdoors in private catios and community catios for better management for the benefit of the cats, the native wildlife, the ecosystem, and people that don't appreciate cats odorizing their homes and other possessions.
