I’m getting the iPad Pro w/ 1TB. I traded in my 3rd Gen iPad Pro this morning at the Apple Store. It was only 2 hr after end of the Apple presentation this morning and when I tried to order online it gave me a 3 - 4 wk delivery. I’ll hope they have some army the store on the 15th.
How much are they offering for that ?

I've got an old iPad Pro 12.9" (2nd Gen) with a cracked screen and dodgy touchscreen so I'm thinking of getting the new M4 iPad Pro 13" with one 1TB and the nano screen for drawing. Should be a nice solid upgrade after all this time!
I think you could rather get an external SSD and it would cost much cheaper. Unless your use-case requires you to have that internal storage as a must of course.
Is the new Magic Keyboard lighter than the old one?
I was really torn this morning... I have a number of TB4 drives for my Macs I can use with the iPad so felt like 5G was more important than 1TB of storage but getting a binned chip with only 3 performance cores and 8GB has me questioning my decision... Got the 13"/512 upgrading from M1 Pro 11".
Performance and the Apple pencil pro are reason enough to buy the new one. I am looking forward to use Nomad Sculpt, Clip Studio and ProCreate. My iPad pro from 2017 stopped working a few weeks ago.
I'm getting the iPad Pro 13 inch model to replace my 12.9 generation five iPad Pro. Been waiting about a month, long story by iPad Pro fifth generation flew off my jeep. It did not survive. Loved that device needing to replace it. This will be a nice upgrade even though I hate to throw throwing the money away when it flew off my jeep.
We are getting the 11” pro. Our last one was the 2018 original model. Jusr trying to figure out on how much memory to get.
Didn’t think I was gonna do it, but I updated my M1 iPad Air for the new 13-inch iPad Air with 256GB. I got $310 trade-in credit, so my new iPad is “only” $662 after tax.
Did you have the previous 10.5” iPad Pro? I currently have this and want the air but thinking I’ll miss the pro refresh rate that is in the 10.5” pro. The new pro’s are just too expensive for me atm. The ipad air is the sweet spot I felt. Also do you prefer the 13” much more than the 11”? Thanks

Same 😂 I’m trading in my M1 12.9 iPad Pro for the 11 iPad Pro. I’m getting just over $500 for trade-in. I really wanted that smaller form factor. The M1 12.9 is quite large and hefty. I do love the larger screen size, but I think the 11 inch will suffice.
@@doompodInteresting, my 11” M1 iPad Pro with 16gb of ram, 1TB of storage, and with both W-Fi and cellular is only worth $385 trade-in and it is like new. Literally got it back in August of 2023. TBF, it was a factory replacement (not refurbished) under AppleCare. So, just curious how the trade-in values are determined by Apple. Can I ask what features yours had?

I actually went from an 11” M2 iPad Pro to a 13” iPad Air - I am totally okay with the Liquid Retina Display, and the M2 was overkill anyway, so I opted for the extra screen real estate and saved some coin

Apple Pencil Pro will be a must. And if you don't get nano glass, grab a paper-like screen protector (though not from the brand paperlike)
The bump in base storage helps too because apps nowadays are huge. Can't even download additional files in Diablo Immortal to change display settings as I've maxed out 128 GB.
Ordered the 13 inch pro 1 terabyte, nano screen, keyboard and pencil, replacing 2018 iPad Pro.

I have an iPad mini 6 to trade in for $250 and I think you convinced me to get the 11 inch Pro over the Air even though I don’t need all the features. More bang for the buck with my trade in I guess . Just wish they had more Pro colors.

I just ordered the 13 inch pro for tomorrow I'm so excited.
All I wanted was a bigger battery. I have the M1 mini-led 12.9 iPad Pro and wanted the new OLED model. But I have to wait and see if the battery is any better. I have to basically keep my iPad plugged in all day….
Battery will likely be the same since Apple made the new one so much thinner/lighter

The nano tech display is pretty cool to be built into it already but the fact it’s only for 1TB & 2TB only, I can get myself a 512GB & just get a paperlike screen protector & be pretty much the same & save that few extra hundred bucks

I have a MBA m2 13" and recently got gifted an IPad pro m2 11" that i havent opened yet, should i sell these for the new 13" IPad Air or Pro or even just sell the MBA and use the 11" Ipad pro as a laptop, I just really dont use the Mac that much.

I was waiting for new iPads releases to create on-the-go video editing set with an iPhone recording logs directly to ssd, then editing them on the iPad directly from the ssd. I was sure that I knew everything about them and was leaning toward choosing the new air m2 instead of the pro.
Thanks for creating such detailed videos because I would make a huge mistake. All those nuances like ports differences are really easy to miss.
I will miss 16gb ram tho, but the price difference for 1TB is just too big. I hope Davinci resolve will run smoothly on 8gbs version

@@BrandonButch Do you also have the mini? I want to know how it feels when it comes to weight and portability. If its lighter and not that bigger might keep the 13” and change my mini with the pro 11” since I dont think the mini will ever get an oled display
For video editing, I’ll be looking at getting a 13” Pro with the new M4, 16Gb RAM, and at least the 1Tb storage; with a Thunderbolt SSD.

I really hope my older Magic Keyboard for my 6th gen pro would work on new iPad. Would kinda call BS I’m sure it would work but they are limiting it in software since in the new one says must be M4 and version iPad- iOS 17 etc not trying to have a pile of keyboards in the corner would love if they offered a trade in for keyboard or at least 100$ extra with trade in.

Great video. I’m trading my mini6 256gb. I was pretty sure to get the air but the screen , extra base storage, face id and possible advantages with new software are making me ponder my decision …. Air 256gb is only £350 cheaper. It’s a lot of money but future proof a bit longer ?😊

Matching Magic Keyboard is now the one that says "for iPad Air M2". Likely the exact same thing (it's compatible) but renamed for the new lineup.
The only strange part for me is removing one of the back cameras

Trading in my current Air for the new one with trade-in it will be about $350 for the 256g. I have a magic keyboard that I love so I feel like I made the best decision for me. I don't do heavy stuff or game on my ipad so I am good.
I make reports on Excel a lot, which one would you recommend?
I recommend MacBook Air m3, because excel on iPad is a toy and use office 365 over safari o chrome it a terrible experience

Honestly I’m not sure why you’d need an iPad instead of a Mac unless your workflow was mostly drawing or touch sensitive. For the price of an iPad and accessories you might as well get a MacBook Air.

Particularly with iPP, this is what I’ve been saying: however, the answer is that accessibility for many people with disabilities is massively better on iOS than it is on macOS. So, pretty much nearly half the population of the U.S. has greater access on iPad than on Mac. That’s why this matters.

It’s sweet and all that how some people apparently firmly believe that, assuming equal hardware specs, one computer could never be “more computer” than another computer (lol 😄), but the reality is that the market is definitely there (heck, even before this version, I’ve seen social media influencers and more than a few geeks talk about using iPP as their de facto personal computer, let alone after) and Apple is serving them. VoiceOver on an Apple PC? Take my money!
Hey there! I have a question, for uni. and watching movie-shows yt etc. Which one should i buy; ipad air m2 11" or ipad pro m2 11" (all of them with pencil tho) ? In my country the ipad pro m2 11" is 5k more than new ipad air so which one is better for long term? New ipad is 2 years younger and it will be get more updated that's the two reason im stuck with it: m2 pro price and update stuff... 🤷🏻♀️ and also is it big enough 11"? I want to buy the 13" but the price diff is literally 10k its so much tho. I would like to state that the iPad I bought can be updated for at least 6-7 years and that I want to use it for a very long time without lag or other problems.😊
go get the m2 ipad pro! you wont regret it, it has better screen, 120hz which is make the screen smoother, better camera, and also great apple pencil tho. the squeze thing on the new apple pencil aren’t necessary. and the ipad air m2 only have 60hz🥲 imo it’s not worth it to get the M2 processor but the screen only 60hz!!😖😖

Its because their sales went down by almost 15% in the ipad range - they are trying to get the people to buy ipads instead of macbooks to get the numbers up - its as simple as that ( check the news the rest of the sales went down by 10% )

Air just means lite on features heavy on savings it does not mean physically lighter device nor should it. If they called it the iPad Lite it would maybe make more sense to people after all there many products that are lite versions but that doesn’t imply anything about the weight
Watching this on my 12.9 4. gen iPad and not missing a thing. Only 643 grams and 120hz display too while on.y 5.9mm thick. Honestly this still runs at about 80% of A15 performance so idc.😅
The 2020 iPad Pro has the A12Z, not A15.

Im upgrading my iPad Pro 12.9 256gb from 2018 with the A12X and 4gb of RAM. I can feel it starting to lag a bit now and the 4gb of RAM can barely keep two or more apps open.
I'd like to upgrade to the 13' iPad Pro but not sure whether to go with the base 256gb with 8gb of RAM or go the extra mile and get the 1tb with 16gb of RAM.
I'm looking to keep it for at least 6 years again, so not sure whether 8gb of RAM will be too little in the coming years...

@@jart0m I’ve been watching some tests with the M2 iPad Pro comparing 8gb vs 16gb of RAM, there was pretty much no noticeable difference in regular or even heavy usage. All apps stayed open in the background on both.
So I’ve decided to save the money and get the base model iPad Pro 13’
Well, ya know, the names are kinda different too. Almost as if they’re now entirely different items with different use cases: iPP (particularly the 13” 1TB with Magic Keyboard) is a de facto laptop replacement; iPA is a tablet.

@@BrandonButch that’s fine, however the reality is such that the actual hardware on the iPP 13” with 1+TB storage already exceeds most consumer-level laptops. Apple of course will retain the MacBook Air and Pro, but practical reality is such that we may as well consider the iPP as the new base MacBook.
The 13" pro with the nano texture screen seems perfect. Maybe latter when in some other country. Brazil has the most expensive ipad m4 in the world. More than double the price in Dolars.
I just decided to order the 2022 pro for 699 instead of spending 999 on the m4
I strongly believe that the upcoming WWDC in June is set to introduce a pivotal shift in iPadOS. The new aluminum keyboard equipped with shortcuts similar to those on laptops, alongside advancements in AI and the unveiling of the M4 chipset, suggest something big. It's hard to see these innovations pointing to anything other than a groundbreaking update for the iPad's operating system. If this turns out not to be the case, it would be quite a letdown, turning a $1K investment into merely an oversized iPhone in tablet form.
I think the same. Air and Pro models hopefully get AI functionality along with a MacOS cross compatibility. They released the devices first making sure they won't be short on cash. :)
Imagine if they just re-released the M2 iPad Pro with double the battery life. That would be less of a disappointment than this event was.

I am on the fence either the new IPad Air 13 inch …. or a 15 inch MacBook Air. The second costs a feed hundred more,but longer battery life. However, I am so used to on-screen scrolling with my finger on an I-Pad, I am concerned that needing to use the track pad or the keys to navigate around might become cumbersome/ tiring on my wrist with extended use.
Get a Mac because Apple seems to keep flip flopping on whether they care about the iPad or not.
once you attach a keyboard to the ipad you won’t be scrolling with the finger, I think, it is uncomfortable.
but if you already enjoy the ipad, and it does everything you want, then yes, stay in the ipad world.
But only if the one you already have does everything you want. remember ipadOS is the same from the ipad $230 all the way to the ipad $1300 😅

Would you tell us the difference between the IPAD 10 generation and the IPad Air?
Air has Stage Manager and M-series chip, iPad 10 has A14 chip and no Stage Manager and is the least likely to support upcoming AI features..

Apples website claims the Airs screen is not exact size, no disclaimer on the Pros, I’m guessing the chip and screen making it way more expensive now, a grand for a base 11 inch pro, the features don’t seam so ground breaking

Since most people in the comments seem oblivious to this, here’s why I am replacing my 12” MacBook, old Retina Display iMac, and 2018 iPP with the 13” iPP with 1TB storage and the Magic Keyboard: accessibility for many people with disabilities (including me and about half the population of the U.S.) is significantly better on iOS than it is on macOS. Thats the secret y’all seem to be missing. When Apple changed the file system on macOS in (I think it was) 2017, it broke and never restored compatibility with fairly all accessibility software packages, and since then the accessibility software on iOS has been and is significantly better than on macOS.
Apple is widening the gap between pro and air to the point that pro doesn’t appeal to everyone but air is locked at 60fps screen
Im just praying they don’t tie so much of the new software to the M4 pro I still have a great M2 pro.
They should drop iPhones the same way they do the iPad

The pro looks fantastic but a little disappointed with the screen not going right to the edge of the iPad but you can’t please everyone.
Even though Apple says they have extended the life of the OLED screen, that just means a 6 year instead of 3 year period before it loses 50% of its resolution and brightness. Resale value will be worthless.
