Personally I think the grape would rock with anything casual (jeans t-shirt etc) and also more dressed up with just about any lighter or neutral colored clothing for a nice pop, and also even darker fall colors.
I enjoy your presentations. I’m a very new enthusiast & of modest means but enjoying learning from you and others. How/where do you generally sell your watches when you decide to move them on?
I would definitely take more than one watch on holiday as it is a great time to bond with them and creates memories. My question would be: What watch to wear to a watch show/event? I tend to avoid anything flashy/show off and wear something that fits in with show and/or people might find genuinely interesting.
I use chronograph every day at work timing scripts and segments… but I TOTALLY get it that most people do not… plus of course, there is probably a stopwatch on your phone 😊
That grape OP is really nice. I agree with you just wear what you want regardless of whether it matches. Also, I’d never buy a watch for an investment, either. Buy what you love regardless of matching or investment 😊
Red Grape 39 is a beautiful watch. I have one that the wife wears everyday with everything, I wouldn’t worry about matching it to outfits. It is a fantastic everyday day Rolex!
One of the reasons why I sold my YM40 was because I was getting too much of the wrong kind of attention. I then bought an OP 39 Grape. I’m a lot more chilled wearing this, and I don’t feel the need to check over my shoulder anymore.
Hi Tony - question for you. What is the importance of chronometry ( eg COSC, METAS, superlative chronometer, etc) in the future of watches and in your particular consideration to purchase new watches? Some luxury brands pay significant consideration to precision and accuracy of their watches ( eg Rolex, Omega) like many others not only don’t certify their watches but they even often don’t provide specifications for accuracy and precision of their movements. Funny that everyone reports power reserve, like that would be a major factor of quality. I personally try to only buy watches that are either certified for chronometry standards or they provide specifications of precision and accuracy. Would love hearing your thoughts.
Hey Tony. Hope you are well.Keep up the good work. Awesome videos, dude. I like your "No Bullshit" approach. Question : Looking back over time, there anything in your watch collecting you would have done differently ? Is there anything that was really important to you during the years of collecting watches that isn't really that important to you these days ? Id be interested to know your thoughts. Thanks, man.👍
Love that Zenith Tony great looking watch….I can read the dial when you face the camera with it….! Perfect daily driver, bona fide strap monster with that El Primero under the hood…. Hope your back starts feeling better soon….Great show 5 ✨ PS… Just saw that there’s another watch scam artist out there, this time a guy from Australia….! Oisin O’Malley just did a report on him… Have a great rest of the weekend….💯👍 Greg
Thanks man. The Zenith is the best everyday driver. I saw that watch scammer guy. I was going to do an update on grey market dealers. Always appreciate your comments! 🤙🤙😊
As a functional matter a watch that shows the current year is about as overrated as one can get. Let's face it if you can't remember the year you'll need a lot more help than a watch can provide.
I agree one watch only. REMEMBER, no hotel covers what might be stolen from their room safes! So one that’s on your wrist all day is what I do.
🤙🤙

Thanks man. I appreciate it. I sometimes use a company called Watchpayer when I sell a watch.

BY the way TheRealJohnP owns the grape Rolex OP, and explains why he wears it less than he thought.
As opposed to the fake JohnP?? 😂😂

Heck yeah dude hope you’re enjoying the new brown dial santos- I can’t wait for the close up review!! Cheers brother 🤙
Thanks man! I appreciate it. 🤙🤙
I literally just tried to purchase a 39mm grape last week.
I felt like I was paying too much, and we couldn’t make a deal.
It’s discontinued. So anywhere in the $8-9k is where they sit.
If you like purple dial watches I have 16203 Datejust 36mm two tone, oyster bracelet and a mauve dial… Quite rare now!
