The older guy spraying the ether in the breather reminds of my grandpa, a farmer who could fix anything, and taught me more about everything than my college professors. I miss him!
That’s exactly who he is to me. I grew up two houses down from his farm. Now I help him farm and he helps me farm. He’s my Paw now. All my children call him Paw. He teaches me, guides me and is always there for me. He can fix anything as well. Old school farmer. He doesn’t call the dealership for every little problem. He learns and fixes it himself. His dad bought this tractor new on his farm in the 70’s and now he has passed it down to me. I learn a lot from that man. Thank you for the kind words and inspiration.
What a great video! About a year ago my cousin and myself manage to get my father’s Jd 4630 started after about Eight years no use . We added a gear reduction starter and we had to bleed the fuel system and said a prayer and she started up.
Man this brings back a childhood memory! When I was a kid 6 or 7 I used to get in the cab of my dad's Ford TW20 and rev it to see it smoke and flap the rain cap. Still love seeing this! I almost 40 now. He mostly had Deere tractors. I have a 91 Dodge Cummins project truck. Love the sound of a mechanical injection turbo diesel.
@@jtcrawfishfarmsllc3674 although i love the whistle its not a good thing that its whistling so much , my great uncle said if our 1135 starts whistling at idle it needs a rebuild. but straight piping it would be cool
One neighbor has a 4430 power shift bout the same shape, but it just feeds cattle and sows a little feed any more,I think It's on it third or fourth time around
Add A bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner to new fuel plus add 200 ml of Dexron Automatic transmission fluid in fuel tank full together and every 3 months too!
This tractor has many years of service in the Feild. Engine has been overhauled, pump turned up, rear end rebuilt a few times. It was bought new and stayed on the same farm all its life. It hasn’t been taken care of like it should but I will restore it. Thank you for the comment and please subscribe to our channel.
really? a vehicle is sitting for 9 years and you think the problem is the battery died? i mean of course it did, but that is not the issue, clearly they put another one in or plugged it in, because the engine is turning over when he turns the key

That tractor’s in rough shape and has seen better days
Great video Glad you got it running again definitely needs some TLC
Man, she looks like she’s had a pretty hard life. Great job getting her going again.

Sounds good lil TLC
Floyd Baker yes sir it will be getting updates and soon or later be back to original.
I think by a little you mean a lot
Sounds like the old 404 has at least one hole down on compression.
From the looks of things it ought to be on its way to Sikeston MO
Loving the hell outta that whistle
I want to straight pipe it also.

Nice getting it started

This is John Deere 👍
Easy on the either, you'll be hunting a motor fur it😁
they were designed for ether
Same as caterpillar they even have a place for the can of either on some models
Add A bottle of STP Total Treatment fuel injection and carb cleaner to new fuel plus add 200 ml of Dexron Automatic transmission fluid in fuel tank full together and every 3 months too!
Why not turn the steering wheel back and forth
Pump needed primed
Were u got that at?
Floyd Baker from the farm.
What happened to the interior
Those were dry cylinders. No oil = No compression.
sounds like you have one dead cylinder
Can't kill this Deer!
You expect that thing to start easy thank again sitting for 9yrs not possible
Seemed like a dead dino
The amount of ether used in this video makes me uncomfortable
Duuude stop hosing that tractor with starting fluid you're killing the poor thing
How do they get in that poor of condition to begin with

I catfish farm in Ms. All our equipment gets in that shape. I see crawfish farms are just as rough on equipment as catfish farms are
Nou
Battery’s are dead

actually, you can even see in the video that they have connected the truck's battery to the tractor
