Hi! What an awesome tutorial! I’m about to start on something like this for my daughter’s room. Her wall is pink with a few gold accents. Just a quick q- after caulking, would I paint over those areas with pink again?

Also, I’ve seen some other people use liquid nails long with the brad nails, do you think that is unnecessary?

Yes you’d want the paint the caulk to match the wall once it’s dry. 😊

Hello! Great video. If the colour I'm about to paint is different than white/black. Let's say olive green. How can I caulk in that case?

Caulk like usual, then paint the whole wall… make sure caulk is dried before painting…
Get the caulk that says dries in 30 mins and paintable… ☺️

If you want a different color, when do you paint? Before or after attaching?

If you are changing the wall color, I would paint the wall first and even the boards of you can before installing. Or just paint the wall the new color and then paint the boards the new color after you install them.

@mrsashleyfrench what sheen did you use on the wall and boards semi gloss or flat??

I always use Satin on my walls and the skinny boards on this geometric wall are also satin. For my baseboards and door trim at home, I used satin as well but would recommend using semi-gloss on baseboards since they wipe off easier when cleaning with semi-gloss.
