La Terza ... Ive only just noticed that this band has produced a big amount of my favorite songs. I didnt even know there name untill today. I thought all the songs were by one hit wonder bands. So I must agree with that there so underated!

Keane has a very unique way of making people feel like we are all a part of something greater and that giving up ain't an option. So inspiring for a band so underrated but still a favorite to most of us..

Went to the Sovereign Light Cafe last Thursday (in Bexhill). Excellent food, friendly service and Keane photos on one wall, signed by the band "to the real stars of Sovereign Light Cafe". Recommend

2012: My son was 9. I fought my chronic illness, loaded up on painkillers and took him on holiday to the seaside, single handed. The drugs made me physically sick at night, the part he didn't see, but the memories are so worth it. Now I can hardly go out at all as I've got much worse. He's 18 right now and has fab memories of his summer holidays, and is a tremendous young man, he does so much to help me. This song and video bring a tear to my eye, I want to be able to WALK past the beach huts again - oh to go back in time. Make the most of every moment folks, you never know what life has in store.
I am a Hastings, St Leonards guy, now looking after my mum in Derbyshire, she's not so good healthwise but watching videos like this keeps my pecker up! I adore Tom Chaplin's amazing voice. His last voice bit on this track is just wonderful and lifts my spirits immensely. See you guys end of June 2022 for more live music

If she's like me, she may never quite be able to put into words how much it means to her - I try, but I can never thank my son enough or find the words to express how much I appreciate him every single day. My wife and I jumped on our bikes last Friday night and rode down to the south coast just to get away from some stress and craziness. On Saturday morning, against the odds, the sun came out and it was a spectacular day. We walked to the seafront and found ourselves in a little cafe. While I was ordering, I saw some photos on the wall and they were of Keane and it turned out we were sitting in the Sovereign Light Cafe. I had never seen this video before and we watched it later on and it just added some extra magic to a magical 24 hours.
My Spotify playlist is still full of Keane - songs, because they are much better than recent music in 2022. One of the most underrated bands if you ask me.

When i was 5, i was standing in a hotel lobby drumming a keane song and singing along. (Ive been a drummer from a very young age and ive always loved music). A man stood next to us and talked to my parents. Turned out he was their manager and he asked for adress and everything. They send me a drumhead with the text "to mickey" and all their signatures. Its even been played on. As a kid i didnt understand how special this was but now i realise how amazing and unique this is. Im very very lucky. Much love

I’ve seen the best vocalists in the business live: Mercury, Coverdale, Rogers, Sting, Meatloaf and a whole host more and I’m telling you Tom Chaplin is right up there with all of them! Saw Keane at the Brighton Centre in October 2019 and you hear how he sounds in this video? Well he sounds like that live! 👏👏👏 Pitch perfect and powerful. Whoa!
He did a Radio 2 concert celebrating Freddie Mercury a while back he did all of Freddie's songs without a note out of place, his range is amazing.

If I went back now it wouldn't be the same because we've all moved on, we all grew up and carry our responsibilities of adulthood. For me it's more of a nostalgia of a time that's gone and I cherish very much. I absolutely love my life right now because it is exactly how I dreamed it but sometimes I can't help but feel nostalgic.

Whilst I appreciate what you are saying, I think that when people look at all the different music that is available, and they look at other bands and artists that are. in theory, more popular than someone like Keane, they, like me, find it very hard to reconcile why this should be so. I suppose it is the selfish part of the mind thinking 'I love this music, why doesn't everybody else?'

The Sovereign Light Cafe is where I used to buy my ice creams whilst enjoying a day on the beach when I was younger... Bexhill, where this video was shot, is my home town so feeling very proud of these local lads :) xx

I grew up in Bexhill. The last flat where my mother lived can be seen in the shots with the old cars at the bottom of Galley Hill. Looking forward to visiting family in Sussex once this pandemic starts to ease off (I'm no longer in the UK). This video is always a nostalgic trip down memory lane as well as Powdermill Lane.
I posted two years ago in this same page. My family and I were blessed to go to England twice I always wanted to go and this song took us there. We visited Bexill and fell in love with the town. We, as well look forward to the next time we are blessed to walk down West Parade. I do hope I can smell the ocean sitting in front of the Sovereign Light Cafe again.

Thanks Buddy. For alot of us in the UK this song is very nostalgic. We all have memories of somewhere like this as a child. Good times with our parents. I was brought up in Northern Ireland. We have seaside towns like this you could escape to and be normal away from the troubles. For a short time anyways.

Two days after my 41st birthday I'll be going to the UK for the first time ever from NZ/Aus and will now most certainly be visiting the Sovereign Light Cafe´ :)

Even though I live in West Yorkshire, I do travel all over the country, i'm quite often on the south coast and a couple of months ago I was in Hastings at a customers house and we got talking about Keane, I was telling the customer me and some of my friend used to travel down this way for the weekend to go to Dover beer festival and we used to stop off at Hastings on the Saturday night to go to pubs that sell real ales, anyway we was in a pub and this band was playing live, I remember walking in and the singer was introducing the other band members, missed their names but the singer introduced himself as Tom Chaplin, by the way this was in the mid to late 1990s, the customer said to me they originate from a village called Battle, near Hastings (named after The battle of Hastings), so in a way, I must have seen Keane playing live before the hit the big time, been past Bexhill on sea loads of times but still not yet seen or had chance to photograph the "Sovereign Light Café", still my second favourite Keane song, my first being "Bedshaped".

I've just seen them 2 hours ago in Asuncion Paraguay. They finished their show saying they were from a small town and that the song makes them feel good specially being in a small city, in a small country in Latin America, we really felt his words. We love you, Tom, guys.
