I went on to make a living at music---when i was 24 a lead singer told me "You're either going to be a smoker, or a singer." I did'nt get it. 14 years later, I quit smoking. And he was RIGHT... my range went up one whole octave, and I could hold long notes even Longer than ever before. Twice as long. Its true---quitting smoking HELPS your voice AMAZINGLY!
I saw them at Bryant's Manly Vale in 1982 on Sydney's Northern Beaches. It was far out and cosmic, man. The early 80's was a very special time in music history. You had to be there to know what I mean.

This old man remembers them in live concert back in '82 in the Eden Hall in Amsterdam as supporting act for The Talking Heads (together with B'52). Echo and the Bunnyman were the best that evening! Awesome concert decades ago. Does anyone has maybe soundtracks?

Fantastic live performers, saw them many times in my youth and a few times recently, just confirmed for this years T in the Park, could teach a lot of new bands a thing or two!!! Any younger people that aare going to T in the Park this year should do themselves a favour and go and watch one of the most charismatic front men and tight live bands they will ever see, forget Muse on the main stage head over to the Red Bull tent for a masterclass. Sugar Kisses....

It's amazing what we missed growing up with American radio. The UK had some amazing underground bands during the 80's... and still do today. This type of band was never played on US radio that I know of. Makes you wonder how many other gems are hiding over there.
As a song writer the hardest thing to do is write a simple but great melody anyone can hum. This song is dead simple but just try to write a masterpiece like this!!! Top 10 greatest song ever written.
All the electronics and equalisation in the world can't make up for a LACK of power in a voice. Go back and listen to his earlier recordings when he was in his prime. He had a POWERFUL voice back then. --As in having to back the attenuation down on his mic channel as he had probably SO much in the mic, it was probably clipping ALOT earlier than he does now. Agree with 1974dormouse-- Smoke, Or Sing, But You Can't Do BOTH!
Holy shit 2:30 and 2:41. I am instantly 15 again and he is a god....I want to throw myself at his feet. That may be why people become musicians....perhaps along with creating amazing art that transcends genres and generations. One of my favorite songs - thank you, gentlemen. :*
One of the best, most underrated bands of the 80s, I saw these guys live back in their hey day and they were totally spectacular. Wish they hadn't cancelled the Boston leg of their current tour.

Had the privlage of seeing The Bunnymen at the Glasgow Appollo (81 a think!) knew then a was watching one of the best bands that was ever to come out of the post punk movement.
Saw them last night! It's a good show! Noone's quite where they are now. You can't see the Smiths, or the CUre. You can see the Furs. These guys are up there. It was cool.
As an Irishman I always thought our greatest musical export took more than a few notes from this Legendary Band ...memories of listening to their albums in the 80's and then hearing the U2 hits and getting a tad embarrassed by the similarity

Saw these dudes YEARS ago in Atlanta. Ian was trashed. The most intoxicated person I had ever seen on stage by the end of the night. Great concert too.
