Much, much better than the official tutorial. That Ergo one made me imagine my baby wriggling around at the wrong time and hurling to the floor while maneuvering. That's some nightmare crap. This one actually makes sense and is NOT beyond terrifying. Thank you!
I have found this while researching using my ergo baby for holidays in July. He will be 3 in September and weighs 15kg. He feels comfortable but just want to check. Thank you. This has been the most useful video I have found.
At his age, there are carriers that would feel more comfortable simply by fitting him from knee to knee, but if he’s within the weight limit - go for it.
Thank you for this video!! I had tried it following the ergobaby demo and it just felt so unsafe and scary to do alone so I had only done it once. Excited to try it again!
Thanks so much for this detailed demo! One quick question : do you recommend the sliders on the front being towards the inside (for outward carry) or towards the outside (for inward carry). It looked like yours were in the middle lol but maybe it doesn’t matter
@larisacicila1273 The Omni 360 that I used in this videos doesn’t have sliders. It’s the cotton version which has buttons, rather than the Air Mesh version with sliders. But, yes, when parent facing (whether on the front or back) the sliders/buttons should be on the wider setting to provide maximum support. The seat size should also be adjusted, using the Velcro tabs inside the waistband, to the appropriate size for the baby. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
Thank you! Tried this for first time today and worked so well. Only thing I find is that my shoulders straps feel abit too loose, chest clip feels tight and high? Should it go under breast or above? I find myself naturally leaning forward which is making me ache all over! Any tips?
@AleemaAkhtar-b9f The chest clip slides up and down on the straps & you can loosen/tighten it if needed. Are the shoulder straps as tight as you can get them? If you’ve tightened them to the point where the padding is touching the buckle (having used all the webbing), then it may be that the carrier doesn’t fit you in the back carry position - unfortunately it’s not uncommon. Adjust the chest clip, for your comfort, & see if it helps. If not, please look for a local Sling Library/Babywearing Consultant to get some in person help.
Is there a height limit for the back carry? I have a tall 9 month old, and the straps don't seem to come up his shoulders enough to really hold him, especially while putting it on.
@callslightning When you’re putting the carrier on, start on your hip & really pull all the fabric out from under your babies bum. Sometimes the fabric gets trapped there. The carrier should come up into your baby’s armpits & no lower. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
Should you put the waist strap more at waist height instead of hip height if your 14 month old is 30inches tall?? We went hiking and it was very lopsided
Sorry, I only just saw this. You want your child’s head to be almost at the same height as yours, so put the waistband at the right height to achieve that. If they feel lopsided, feel where their knees are in relation to the edges of the seat - you may find they have more leg out on one side than the other. If so, put a hand inside the carrier, under their bottom & bounce them into the middle.
Sure! If it helps, practice over a soft surface or have someone standing just inside your personal spaces (but NOT touching or “helping”). They can then support your child IF you feel like you need the help while you’re learning.
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure it isn't advised to put baby in this position until around 6 months plus when they have consistent and sturdy head control
ErgoBaby advise from 6m or when they are sitting unaided. If you need to back carry your newborn, please book a session with your local Babywearing Consultant who can help you find the most appropriate way to do so. Slingpages.co.uk is a great way to find someone close to you.
So much more helpful than Ergobaby's demo, thank you!
Keep coming back for this video during my son's growing parts. Thanks so much for the best video on YT for back carrying with this carrier!
Awwww! Thanks! ☺️
I’ve watched about 4 different videos on how to back carry with the Ergobaby 360, and this has been the most helpful-thank you so much!
You’re welcome! I’m glad it has helped. 😊
Same here!! Thank you!!!
Omg yes! A video demo that actually works! Thank you! 🙌

That looks waaay safer than the official Ergobaby demo. Can't wait to try it with my 10 month old!
I’m so glad it’s useful. Let me know how it goes once you’ve tried it. Sarah. X

Can you please do a little frog prime video? Thanks for these videos!
I’ll see if I can get one. 👍🏼
Can I wear my 19month old like this? I just watched the ergobaby official video and tried it and she just kept falling straight out of it!!

I’m so glad it was useful! 😁
can I do it with my 8 months old boy?
From around 6m, or when they’re sitting unaided, is absolutely fine. 👍🏼
My baby is 5 months now and I didn't know my ergibaby can do the back position 🙁 I guess 360 didn't click in a sleep deprived mum brain
Don't worry, I'm pretty sure it isn't advised to put baby in this position until around 6 months plus when they have consistent and sturdy head control
@@Lisa-ih7fk Yes, absolutely right! In this carrier, the back carry position isn’t ideal until around 6m, or when your baby can sit unaided. 👍🏼
