For anyone struggling, first try it sitting on the sofa. It was the only way I could have the courage to let go of baby to maneuver him to the back, knowing worst case of I drop her she just falls behind me into the sofa. After about 10 tries I'm getting a little better lol, don't give up!
@@JoyceBelfort I feel your pain hahah all I can say is make sure you’re really leaning forward so baby is kind of laying on you while you attempt this 🤣
This is like anything else with a baby. First time is terrifying and after a few practice runs it’s not so bad. My husband stands behind me to spot baby and if he’s not around I sit down for the twist maneuver at the end - like others have recommended.
Reminder put on the left shoulder strap first then carefully bring the baby to the back then put on the right shoulder strap. No baby falling that easily. Then fastened/secure any straps for secure hold. I was able to do it with a sleeping baby. First try. No assistance but it help to have one. Though tbh I've tried several different types of babywearing.
I have three degrees, one of them from Harvard. My wife has two degrees from Cambridge. We still struggle with this damn contraption. They must have doped the baby on this video.
@@NelsonDHD Ha ha. You're right. Actually we do have a lovely nanny. But I don't want to outsource all the care of my son. Any parent will know, it's good to get a balance of spending time with your child, and not spending time with them :-) I'm lucky enough to have retired early and I spend many hours each day with him. My first degree was in engineering, and really bad design like this ergobaby thing really gets my goat. There are buckles and straps hanging everywhere. And when we tried to get our son into it, he screamed to be released. He really didn't like the ergobaby, and he's the best judge!
The Ergobaby works well holding a child in front of you (if you can master all the buckles and straps), but it is a disaster when used as a back-carrier.
I feel you! Honestly it does look very wrong how the baby is positioned here and I would never carry my son like that. Please try a woven wrap and try some of the ruck carry wrap techniques like a Tibetan knotless back carry. The ancient wisdom of carrying children from multiple cultures from all around the world had it all figured out already. Baby is in an optimal position as well.
I can't do it!!! Been trying so many times but for the life of me I can't manage to manoeuvre baby towards the back from the right side! My baby doesn't mind front carry at least, but it's hard to do chores as he tries to Grab everything he can
Have you tried it with a child? Many absolutely love it. Mine does and he still loves it as one year old. They’re not flat against the back. They can move their head around and see more then against our chest.
Yeah-- this is BS. Even the professional model looks like she has to concentrate to accomplish this. Consider that this is the best 'take' that they could get.

10 tries later... I still don't get it 😂

Now, where is the video that shows how to take the baby out of the carrier?

With all that time spent in school you ought be able to afford a nanny just to hold the baby for you and your wife.

Watching this on the way to the airport with a sleepy newly four year old...wish I could see it with a kid near the end of carrying days lol

The design is terrible
love it, back carry
What's the max recommended time to back carry a 1 year old?
How do they make it look so easy????
Practice, practice, practice.
Mine has the slider instead of the buttons... so...? Is it sliding outwards or inwards?
Easy to assemble.
can a baby sleep in back carry position?
My baby is ready for back carrying I'm wondering the same thing
No.
Yes!
Absolutely! Women have been doing it for centuries in Africa and Asia. And with the carrier babies love sleeping on the back.
@@mymak-jq1hyAbsolutely. Thousands of millions of Korean babies slept in back carry position when Podaegi was used.
This was a nightmare. My son hated it and it was not easy
Can i put my baby at 5months on my back ?!
So, the baby's face is stuck in your back? That does not look comfortable for the baby.

Why are you so bitter?
Republic Of Sudan
Of course they use the skinniest model.
Body shaming goes both ways; there are plenty of mamas this size.
Yeah they probably discriminate against long hair for advertising as well. Just easier to see what's going on.
She is Not "skinny", that is the Normal size of a healthy person.
