This video has been so useful. Thank you! This way of putting the carrier on makes way more sense than following the diagram in the instruction manual they provide. The chicken technique for tightening the straps is a game-changer too! I wanted to ask - when I am wearing my carrier, the two straps dangle down (the excess length after tightening) - are they supposed to dangle down at my sides or is there a way to tuck them away?
Glad it was helpful! Yes, any strap with an elastic loop on the end can be tidied away. Simply roll the strap up & stretch the elastic loop over the roll. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
@@TheBabywearingAcademy Thank you ❤
Thanks so much! Best tutorial I’ve seen thus far on this !
Glad it was helpful. 👍🏼
Good video but still feeling like this may be too complicated for me. Hoping to get it because this is the only carrier I've seen that will work for my 5lb little one
I promise you it’s not complicated! If you don’t have a local sling library/babywearing consultant that can help, then have a look to see if you can find one that offers online consultations. They can help talk you through it. If youre still feeling like it’s a bit too much, the Hatchling Carrier from DracoMom will also work for a 5lb baby. Hope that helps. 🙂
@TheBabywearingAcademy thank you! I see it says 3.2kg though or 7 lbs on that carrier?
@yellowbeachgirl The weight limits are not about the fit of a sling/carrier. All that the “7-35lb” label means on a sling/carrier is that it was loaded on to a machine & force was applied at 7lbs & 35lbs. If it didn’t tear/break it’s considered to have passed. If a carrier company wants to have their product tested for less than 7lbs of force, or more than 35lbs, they have to pay more - so, generally, they don’t. The Hatchling will fit from around 5lbs until approximately 6-9m of age. The Izmi Baby Carrier generally fits from about 6lbs, so that’s another one to look out for. 👍🏼 Hope that helps. 🙂
@TheBabywearingAcademy just because it will fit does it mean it's safe? Will it be Dr. Recommended/approved or not until she weighs more?
No, always make sure you go through the safety checklist EVERY TIME you put it on, & through the day. Remember - high, tight & visible! 👍🏼
Hi. We have the BB mini, which is similar but without the back support. Ours seems to outgrow the mini , finding the mid sliders in red and blue uncomfortable to put on, so would you say to go for the Go instead of the Move and does Move has better support for 10 pounds plus babies and mama?
I’m afraid not. If you want to stick with BabyBjorn, then the Harmony is WAY better than the Mini or the Move. Alternatively, find your closest Sling Library/Babywearing Consultant and try some different options to work out what really fits you well. Like brands of clothing - different sling brands fit different people in different ways. Hope that helps.
Had twins on Thursday and this looks ideal for when I need to carry both.
Congratulations on the twins! 👶👶
I have this carrier unfortunately! I have two questions relating to the pod section. The instructions recommend seat setting 2 from "3-4 months" but don't give any weight/length guidance. Do you have any idea what this could be? For the neck support, it gives the option of the support being turned in or turned out. Do you have any suggestions on which would be better for a 3 month old?
@CaitlinBerry-Shaw In terms of the seat, you want it to fit your baby from knee to knee. If it seems too wide (extends down the lower leg), then go back to the smaller seat setting until it fits on the wider setting. Your baby should be able to comfortably bend their knees over both sides of the seat. Does that make sense?? Your baby should be supported to the nape of their neck. Having a proper seated position (knees up, level with or slightly above their bum) will help with their head support. When they need to rest, they’ll rest against your chest. You can fold the headrest in or out, it doesn’t really matter. Does that help at all?
@TheBabywearingAcademy thank you!
I’m a pro at the ugly double-chin maneuver
Thank you. I was stressing out trying to follow other videos. This has been so helpful.
Glad it helped! 😊
We washed my sling to use with baby 2, and now I dont know how to feed it back through the rings! Is there another video to show that?
@AquaDarkReject Try this video. It shows a different sling, but it works in the same way - ruclips.net/video/m51J2C4rhTU/видео.html
Such a helpful video! thank you so much. I have larger chest area so I was struggling with how to use the carrier and was worried about babies breathing. I have managed to adjust the carrier way higher now and have also changed the leg straps both of which feel so much better on my back😅 I can see baby clearly now thank you!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Thanks for the detailed guidance. All the other videos I’ve found just cover the usual basics. This one answered all my questions!
So glad it helped! 😊
Hi! Would you recommend one of these over the babyjorn Harmony? I'm 1.65m and 53 kg. I want something to put on to get stuff done around the house.
I would recommend any and all of these over the BabyBjorn Harmony! For your build the Breeze/Dream would be the best ErgoBaby to try. See if you can borrow one (in person or by post) from a Sling Library before you splash out though - and NEVER buy a “cheap” ErgoBaby, they are very commonly faked, which can be dangerous.
@TheBabywearingAcademy thank you!!
Brilliant demonstration. Thank you so much x

Thanks for the detailed explanation. The ergo baby company video forgot to draw the rest of the owl
You’re welcome 😊
I’ve had this for three months and just realized because of this video I’ve been using it wrong. Thank you!
I’m glad it was helpful. 😊
Is there a height limit for the back carry? I have a tall 9 month old, and the straps don't seem to come up his shoulders enough to really hold him, especially while putting it on.
@callslightning When you’re putting the carrier on, start on your hip & really pull all the fabric out from under your babies bum. Sometimes the fabric gets trapped there. The carrier should come up into your baby’s armpits & no lower. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
Hi, very informative, thanks ! What would be the difference between the Harmony carrier and the One Air? Thanks
There’s not a lot of difference - the Harmony is softer & more contoured than the One, which makes it fit better around bodies with lumpy bits (postpartum bellies/boobs). If I was only offered the choice the the One Air or the Harmony, I’d choose the Harmony every time. HOWEVER, just like clothing, different slings fit different people in different ways. If you can find a Sling Library/Consultant near you (or one that offers postal hires) PLEASE try them both on before you spend too much.
This is sooooo helpful!!! Thank you for sharing this video!!
You're so welcome! 😊
Thanks understand the leg adjustments now!
Happy to help! 😊
How to fold it away on that little mesh pouch 😭 I can’t get it
@tahniab8950 Don’t worry about the mesh pouch - it’s not worth it! Fold it like this (video shows the ErgoBaby, but the LennyLamb Light can fold in exactly the same way) - ruclips.net/video/ZBzpmdTfn5k/видео.html
Thank you so much for this! Is it possible for the carrier to be too tight that baby can't expand their lungs? When I cross the straps in the back I'm certainly not yanking them as tight as I can, just till I feel it's comfortable and supported..I think I'm just paranoid about her being able to breath.
Honestly, having the carrier too loose is a much bigger risk as it could allow baby to slump, which could lead to them not getting enough air into their lungs. Your baby should be held as tightly as if you were holding them against your chest with your arms. Tight enough that their weight does not pull away from you & they don’t slump. Have a look at this video - Babywearing Safety! Do You Know How to Be Safe In Your Sling/Baby Carrier? ruclips.net/video/2UlWHSOamhg/видео.html
as a dad thank u
You’re welcome! 👍🏼
Hello. I just put my one month baby in the bliss and he doesn’t like it. He cries and arches his back. I hold him for some minutes to get used to it. Will he like it eventually some day? Should I continue trying it with him some minutes per day? Thank you
Have a read of this article by Hannah at Izmi Baby. It might give you some ideas. 👍🏼 izmibaby.co.uk/blogs/izmi-blog/why-does-my-baby-cry-in-our-sling?
@ thank you!
I bought this because it said newborn but when it arrives in the box it says from 3 months 😢 my girl is 6 weeks so thats frustrating but i love this video very informative
For a newborn, try the solly baby wrap. It was sooo comfortable and baby loved it.
@jadewarren7407 It’s so frustrating isn’t it. It’s all to do with the way the testing bands are set out. The basic tests are for 7-35lbs, so that’s what the carrier companies pay for - it doesn’t mean the carrier fits from 7lbs, but they all put 7-35lbs on their packaging. REALLY annoying! Hope she grows into it soon! 🤞🏼
Could you please do a video on how to carry one baby on the front and one on the back? My twins are 10 months and i am not dure uf hip carrying will be possible since they are big babies.
Will do. 👍🏼
I have seen mums using this carrier to face forwards and i know the Artipoppe offers world facing too. Is that incorrect useage of the carrier? My nosy little man does not want to face in, so perhaps the hip carry will be better for him. Shame if it truly cannot face out :(
Facing out really isn’t worth it. Generally, carriers don’t hold babies in a good position when they’re facing away, so the weight really hangs off your body & gets uncomfortable really quickly. It’s usually only bearable between 4/6-10m, can only be used for 20-30mins & baby has to turn back towards you if they’re tired. The hip/side carry is much more flexible- there’s no time limit & if baby needs to sleep, they can just rest against you. 👍🏼
Thank you so much for the tutorial. At first I followed the 1 min official tutorial and was doing it really bad. Thanks to this video I learned very useful tips on how to use this cuddle band correctly and now I am much more comfortable and the baby is in a better position 😍
Glad it helped! 😊
Very helpful
Thanks! 😊
So, so helpful. You answered just the questions I was thinking about.
So glad it helped! 😊
I’m having trouble with the straps under the armpit riding up and hurting my under arms. Any tips?
Try crossing the straps - when you do, make sure you pull the straps straight down towards the floor before you pull it around you. You want the shoulder strap to cross almost under your shoulder blades. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
Do you have a video on how to put this carrier on bra strap style? I’m having issues with the straps digging into my armpits.
I see you found the other video. 👍🏼 Hope it helped. 🙂
This was excellent and very helpful, thank you! I didn’t realize I could do a cross back carry - that’s much more comfortable. What do you do if the straps are getting in your baby’s eyes?
Make sure your waistband is high enough - this helps to reduce the height of the back panel & keeps it clear of your baby’s face.
Thoughts on back carry looks fairly compatible but just wanted your take on it
There’s no chest strap (to help hold the shoulder straps across your body), so a back carry isn’t recommended. 😢
Any thoughts on the little frog prime Vs Lenny lamb upgrade? They both seem very similar to me but haven't found anywhere to try them both out
Try requesting postal hires from sling libraries. You can hire them from different sling libraries.
Thank you for this amazing video. I have been struggling with wrapping my baby and was worried he was not breathing properly. This video has been a great help.
Glad it was helpful! 👍🏼
This is an absolutely incredible video. We just got our Lenny light today and without you we we wouldn't have really understood it. Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Great video, thanks
Very welcome! 👍🏼
Thank you so much! I was convinced that I hated this carrier, but this makes so much more sense! Going to try it today
Glad it helped! 👍🏼
Hi just wondering can you carry baby facing front? Thanks
No, this carrier does not offer that as an option. This hip/side carry is a great alternative.
hi just wondering can baby facing front ?
No, this carrier does not offer that as an option.
I don’t want the wrap dragging on the dirty floor. Bliss it is for me.
I felt the same! I used to pre-tie my wrap, so no need to tie/untie when out. 👍🏼
Do you have a video for manduca first? (not newborn though)
I don’t think I do. I’ll add it to the “to do” list. 👍🏼
I read online that I would need an attachment for this carrier for a baby that cannot sit up? My baby is 5 months old but is petite. Is this something I would need?
No, the Little Frog Prime is adjustable so it doesn’t need an infant insert - you simply adjust the seat until it fits baby from knee to knee. Hope that helps. 👍🏼
I get confused as to know how tight is too tight. And I am fining one of the sholder straps are bunching up at the front. My baby is 3 months old
@samanthasayle6511 The carrier should be as tight as if the baby was being held in your arms. They don’t need to be squished against you, but if you support their head & do a little dip forward, you shouldn’t feel their body move away from you. Hope that helps. Can you describe how/ the strap is bunching up?
Thanks - my twin boys are nearly 3 weeks old - the sling will be so handy to keep them close whilst being on the go.
@avnitrivedi Congratulations! Depending on the size of your boys, did you know you can carry twins in one Caboo? There are videos around, but I haven’t done one yet.
Thank you this video help me a lot
Glad to hear that! Thanks! 👍🏼
The momcozy instructions say when crossing over the second arm strap to secure it through a safety elastic (male buckle and rest of the strap) before clipping it into the female end. I cannot locate this. Someone else recommended putting the whole second strap through the loops on the actual padded bit. Can you help with this? I would just like to ensure it's failsafe as a buckle has broken on a different carrier before. Thank you for all your helpful videos
I think they must be old instructions- my Momcozy doesn’t have safety elastics either. The majority of the time, I don’t use safety elastics. If your carrier is genuine (ErgoBaby, for example, are often faked) and you listen for a clearly audible click when you do the buckles up, they are unlikely to fail. It’s one of the points tested during the safety testing that carriers undergo.
Thank you so much, way better then the official version. Can you please explain how to adjust the rings when the baby is in the carrier ? And do you have any tips what to do when the lower back hurts?😅❤
The only adjustment you should need to do when baby is in the carrier is to tighten if needed. You do that by holding the “tails” of the sling & pulling straight forward. If your back hurts and your baby is under 3m old, it’s likely that your carrier needs to be tightened. If baby sits too low, the weight will pull down and away from you and hurt your back. If your baby is over 3m old, you may wish to look for a more supportive sling. Hope that helps.
