the SELLER is the one who is responsible for filing a claim with UPS, not the buyer. What's supposed to happen in this situation is the buyer returns their damaged item back to the seller, buyer is refunded, and then the seller can deal with filing the claim if they want to. UPS isnt really at fault here, the pc was just not packaged properly. The box wasn't even damaged, most packages will slide around in shipping so the seller needs to pack things well to accommodate for that. Great video but I think you should have compared the parts to eBay prices rather than MSRP. Really depends on whether you get anything back for the GPU as to whether it's an ok deal. It so little more for a brand new with warranty R7 7700x system with the same GPU you used.
It's a 105w CPU. I run the 5800x also a 105w CPU with a Hyper 212 Evo. It works fine. I see lower temps than they got. Perhaps this pre-built needs new thermal paste.
I was probably a streaming PC based on the high end CPU and the GPU just being used for NV link. That would be the only use case I see for the setup and some of these streaming houses have 5 or more people living there!
That many boxes sounds like a game streaming group or Vtuber group. Each performer would have two or three of these. Plus a couple more for each editor or producer. And probably at least a whole setup or two standing by as hot spares. But just a guess.
I picked up my Ryzen 9 5950X for 160.00 via ebay. Seller listed the chip as defective (boot loop). I slotted the chip into my Msi B450 Gaming Pro Carbon AC and the system went into Bios and then boot looped a couple of times. I changed a few setting on the chip via bios and then the rig booted to Windows, no real problems with it since then. Quite the deal!

I run a 5800x on the same cooler. It is 105w same as the 5950x but I never see temps anywhere near this. My 5800x runs so cool, I am having a really difficult time justifying a water cooler. Just not seeing it get hot as it is, not even playing Starfield. So something has to be wrong with the cooler they got.
When I first saw the thumbnail, I thought it was built in the Core V1 mini itx case. I have used the V1 a couple times and every pic I built in it ran extremely hot. No airspace at all. Glad I was wrong given the hardware, lol.
I have that case in my previous build, its roomy and nice with lots of options but the usb ports and the clips that hold the usb mounting are fragile, also who in their right mind pairs that cpu with only 4gb of ram.

Even dropping the 7700xt into it your still saving a bit of money when you take into consideration the RRP of the CPU, PSU, Motherboard, if you were to source all of those new what it would probably cost around $300-500 More depending on where you buy from especially with the market still kinda up in the air atm and like you said with the price of the CPU new alone even with a a couple of damaged components (yea it sucks) but you still got extra for pretty much less cant complain too much

100%. As long as the pins are good and the proc actually works, it should be good. They are thermally protected so it will not allow itself to burn, normally. A used 5xxx is a great option.

Bruh, 1070ti is WAY faster than a 1660 Super. Why would you say they’re equal?? Also, it’s clear what’s going on here. They’re old mining CPU’s and gpu’s. A way for them to offload they’re old hardware. Also explains why there’s no IO shield on the motherboards. Miners don’t use them for the mining rigs and they get tossed.
It might have seemed like a bargain but they made back money on their PC. while you lost money in a value-less sale... yes the CPU is about $450 brand new. but a new case is also about $54. and that case is a little old and dusty. you needed new ram and new storage. I don't think the case and mother board or the powersupply is worth the price of this case. especially because you can get free powersupplies if you know where to look.. The seller clearly had a budget when building this PC and they clearly know what that 5950x costs.. they basically sold you the CPU for Retail price and gave you a free case, motherboard and powersupply.. they knew the GPU didn't work. this PC should have been $399

why are yall still using FSR/ balanced with a 7700xt? Even the most casual of COD players won't opt for such a blurry image, especially when having a capable graphics such as the 7700xt. Judging by the usage, you probably get the same amount of FPS without fsr while maintaining a much cleaner image. FSR balanced looks terrible at 1440p, and this coming from a Radeon fan lol.

UPDATE - We did get a replacement GTX 1070 TI, but it is a two fan Zotac model not the same as the one in this system...better than nothing I guess

The TT V21 is one of our favourite cases! We even awarded it 👍🏻 love the way you can even rotate the case so the hardware sits in normal orientation.

5950X was/is popular in datacenters as a server CPU (relatively cheap 16c/32t) . It is likely they got them for there.
Guys really you should test the GPU' without FSR, DLSS or XESS turned on. Show the raw power then show what we can get when turning those settings on

I have this excellent case. It’s versatile, has good airflow, and cable management is simple.
Revising an old pc with 5950X, cooler, more memory, new motherboard and maybe graphics card to replace the 1070Ti. Cost about what you spent.

They did say that the value of the rest of the working components was around $786 19:30. So even with the defective gpu it was still worth it.
The cheapest 5950x I see on ebay is about 400 bucks for CPU alone. This was a GREAT deal on these.

For a Rx 7600 you just need a Ryzen 3600, GPU is the bottleneck here. So you don't need to spend that much
