It's not the fact that he can't sing in the original key. It IS THE FACT that he can still sing with power and clarity and has crafted a really great rendition of such a good song. Super great! Perfect for a live song.

The reality was this, at 30 most people can't hit the notes Rik does....same goes for Brad Delp....but ...doesn't change the song nor its meaning. I do this song capoed at 5th fret and a little slower, gives the song some soul😊

My very first concert was Triumph in 1981. I was 16 and drove two hours to Lansing, Michigan from Lake George, Michigan. Slept on my older brothers floor cuz he was near the Lansing Civic Center Unbelievable talent. His acoustic guitar work is the best! The very 1st CD I bought was Truimph in 1985. Still have it!

THAT WAS SO AWESOME! I've been a fan since what I like to call day one after seeing Triumph in Texas in 1978. A DJ on the radio there got ahold of one of their tapes and started playing it. We ALL became instant fans and couldn't wait to see them. What a song writer and such a high performer still to this day!

I'm 59. There were three musicians I always paid to see. EVH, Dave Meniketti, and the one, the only, the most underrated and greatest in my era...Mr. Rik Emmett. He has a lot of my money. He never, ever, let me down. Absolutely amazing musician. And more importantly, when the crowds began to dim, an absolutely fabulous, accomodating, grateful human being. Thanks Rik. You are a better than you are a singer and guitar player. It's impossible...but you are.

It’s sad when I see older singers try to match what they did when they were young. Instead, Rik transformed the music to match his current abilities, which are still amazing, just different. That’s not just talent, it’s humility as well. Love that guy, and this song.
