Answer this: Why is it necessary to have a real gun on set? Or have a real gun with a barrel that’s been filled, no longer hollow. Why use any rounds, we have sound effects.
I’m calling bullshit on this comment. When a movie uses fake crap , you can tell. And the lady in the video says there is no reason to point it at anyone , I’m sure that would make a great movie to watch. 😂😂😂😂. This was Hanna’s job. She failed. End of story.
Hannah was found guilty of bringing the live round. I see a lot of questions about who was responsible. Hannah was pictured with the live rounds before movie production began. She was responsible for checking every gun, every time. She was found guilty of being criminally responsible for the live round.
While tragic and easy to focus on, it honestly doesn't matter. After watching the case I can say without a doubt if someone more competent and cared about safety was in her position (even if there were live rounds on set) the safety precautions she was supposed to take would have prevented the gun with live rounds from making it to anyone who might have pulled the trigger. We like to focus on the live rounds because you are right, they should not have been on site, but like who cares. If the armorer literally does their job it shouldn't matter.

Seth Kenny and his girlfriend Sarah Zachery started destroying the ammo after the shooting and took ammo out of Baldwins gun but they were given immunity from any charges.
This case is simple: there are no separate laws that govern Hollywood behavior no matter how many pretend rules they make up for themselves. The laws of the state of New Mexico apply here. He pointed a real gun at someone without checking the gun to see if it was loaded, then by his own admission, he "cocked the gun". He denies pulling the trigger, but that claim has been disproven. So, he should be judged for his actions under the laws of the state of New Mexico.
@Gabriel-hf1yy , Yes, exactly. I would never accept someone's word that a firearm was unloaded and then point it at someone. That's willful negligence.

"Deciding to switch judges"? Yeah, that's how it works, Hannah. "I wonder if she's having trouble at home why she's so grouchy". Yeah, mom, judge didn't convict your baby girl, jury did. Buncha idiots.
I am bewildered why Court TV brings on legal analysts for a trial about guns and manslaughter who a) don’t know the manslaughter statutes in New Mexico and b) cannot articulate the ultimate issue with respect to the negligent use of a firearm causing death. The negligent use of a firearm creates criminal responsibility whenever the actor points a gun at another human being then pulls the trigger resulting in death. There are no legal excuses for this type of murder. It is similar to strict liability where only actus reus has to be proven. The state of mind of the actor does not matter and neither does any assumptions about whether the gun was “cold” because ALL citizens are required to treat every gun as if it is loaded and never point a gun at anything you don’t intend to destroy
@@ducciwucci it’s meant to help Court TV live up to the standards it should have to deliver excellent legal analyst from competent and experienced legal minds. When incompetent legal minds pollute the jury pool with bad legal analysis because they don’t know the law they are doing more harm than good
Because it was handed to him by a firearms expert, and there weren’t even supposed to be live rounds on the set. As an actor, I would imagine you would think that everything given to you (supposedly deemed safe by two other people) is not capable of doing damage.
Do you inspect your car before driving it when you pick it up from your mechanic? Do you make sure that the professional you hired to do a job, did it correctly and your vehicle is safe?
I sure hope he does the same amount of prison time I'd do or anyone else without his recognition. He has been well trained for safe firearms use over the past few decades and he knew better than to take aim (call it what it was and stop trying to make it sound like an harmless act of pointing) at this lady, manipulate the arms action, pull the trigger. He broke far too many safety rules to claim it wasn't his fault as it most certainly was his fault! If someone else would have perpetuated this act they'd still be sitting in jail waiting for trial.
@@onelifedontwasteit8568 I actually shouldn't be posting my opinions due to my bias, but my concern has been the pickings of a soft fan based jury. His charges are involuntary manslaughter, but probably should be voluntary IMO. Regardless I don't know for sure how the state would decide charges depending on an individuals knowledge base, but being an arms and ammunition expert I may for example be charged with second degree...IDK. There's a lot of things that were overlooked in the Reed trial due to lack of knowledge or they simply thought it irrelevant, but if a high profile person were on trial (O.J. comes to mind) I'd have thought they would have researched things more.
Hanna needs to shut up and let Halyna's family heal from her death. Every time she puts out a statement from jail, she rips open their scabs and nothing good will come from Hanna's family or lawyer making a statement. She needs to stfu, do her time then get back home to her family .... she's lucky that that's in her future bc its not for Halyna!
I'm still extremely shocked that there hardly is any discussion about the discruntled crew that quit and left that morning. Here is, from what I understand, some crew members who were extremely, extremely dissatsified ie., mad, and pissed and who complained about safety issues, most notably about stuff like this happening on set Then they all quit, and hours after they leave, the exact thing they complained about, happens. It is like an employee complaining about wet floors in the bathroom and that people could get hurt. But his boss says stop complaining and we are not going to pay you extra hours to come clean up wet floors cus its no big deal. Then the employee quits and as he goes out, he pours water all over the floor to prove his point. One of those crew memmbers could so easily have just planted the real bullets in. Maybe not put it in the gun (wouldn't be out of the question) but mixed in real bullets with the dummies, and they did it in spite. WHY was this scenario ever not seriously looked at? That crew was very disgruntled over safety issues pertaining to weapons, and then they quit, rolled out, and next we know, this happens.
Did Alec Baldwin undergo a background check, complete a gun safety course class to buy or have a gun? Because he should have known. You never pointed a gun at a person. If he did take a class , this is one of the things that talk about Besafe with a gun.
I didn't know it wasn't in the script for him to point the gun at her. In any case if it's anything like the airline industry there are so few accidental gunshot deaths that it's very safe to be playing make-believe with weapons. So get all your convictions cuz that's what you do Let It Go doesn't bring back lives
Regardless, if Helena wasn’t the one then it would of been someone else that would of been taken from this life. This film was bound to go down the grave due to impulsivity. Idiots.
Baldwin has strangely tiny hands with stumpy little fingers. I"ve always thought a person's hands reflect something of their nature. Make of that what you will ....

Thank You so much Julie for keeping us up to date!
BALDWIN SAID HE DIDN'T PULL THE TRIGGER 💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩💩
Hope they make an example of this Baldwin character.
How did the live rounds get on set?
So he hired a armorer and still have to do the job himself lol
@Gabriel-hf1yy , Yes, exactly. I would never accept someone's word that a firearm was unloaded and then point it at someone. That's willful negligence.
@@baker_canner he's a actor not real life ffs
@Gabriel-hf1yy , Just because he pretends for a living does not make him a pretend person. He is still subject to the laws of this land, just like the rest of us. He deserves a fair trial, and then we will see what happens.
@@baker_canner he is not responsible for her death the person that brought the live rounds and put them in the gun is and she's in prison so why should he go prison he's paying lots of lawsuits that should be enough...
Cannot stand Alec Baldwin's arrogance, he seems to have moved on pretty quickly after Halyna's death, his constant denial of firing that gun and now he and his fake wife who pretends to be from Spain are going to be on a reality show. You'd think he would have some decency and not be a part of it till his trial was over, but he probably needs to pay for lawyering up with attys. If Hannah has to do time so should he, he fired that gun!
Folks - all calls in prison are listen to and taped. Only thing sacred is conversation with attorneys.
You’re right Julie. Interesting to look at the arms supplier.
Yep he and Sarah Zachery were given immunity from any charges and their is a video with Seth Kenny and Sarah Z with the new Mexico police joking about how Seth put 666 on the bottom of all the live rounds he brought to set.
Hannah's mother sounded intoxicated.
Wow! Someone really dolled miss Guitierrez up before court.
Alec cant recall in this interview who handed him the gun. Why did he point it directly at Haylena.
She asked him to it was also in the script
@@Gabriel-hf1yy They weren't even in a scene, so yeah, that never happened.
@@Gabriel-hf1yyNo, it wasn't in the script. The woman he shot and killed was not an actress. She was one of the producers.
@pamelamls no she wasn't she was the camera lady she needed a shot of the gun close up of different angles I don't state things if I'm not sure of what I'm saying
@YUMLiberalTears yes it did I watched everything of this case and hannah trial I know the facts pity u don't find out before commenting
It must be nice to be a SAG card holder who avoids all basic tenants of gun safety and uses his revolver like it's a laser pointer while lecturing me about gun control.
Why did Alec actually aim the weapon in Hutchins direction in the first place? Alec pulled the trigger, nobody else is responsible.
👍And the rehearsal didn't call for it.
He was practicing a scene. It called for him to pull the gun out from under the coat, crossing from left to center. He was supposed to pull the hammer back, cocking the gun at the same time. His story is that when he cocked the gun, it went off.
@@blackcoffee. That, I dunno 🤷🏽
🤦♀️ the one responsible is in jail
@@Sunshine22896 I agree. But, someone has to pay for her death. 18 months, for Hannah is ridiculous.
He's definitely civilly responsible, if not criminally.
Alec Baldwin and Hannah Gutierrez are both guilty period!
22:33 WTAF why was there a gun just laying on the ground??? That just proves that Hannah was neglectful in her duties as armourer on set. There should NEVER have been a gun laying around let alone with a child on set!!
Which is why Hannah is in prison
At the end of the day, he killed her . He should be in jail if it was anyone else they'd be in jail
Intentions matter.
How ridiculous
@@Gabriel-hf1yy The only thing ridiculous is how you treat accountability.
He will be goin to jail, 18 months maximum. I find it hard to find how he’s innocent ?
Layers of safety. Everyone needs to be responsible for the safety. Multiple layers to prevent incidents. (Swiss cheese safety model)
I loved that segment (swiss cheese). That guy did a really good job of explaining things and looking at the situation in context.
@@wygantsh why are you constantly commenting stuff like this? just don't watch if you're so unhappy with their coverage
@@ducciwucci it’s meant to help Court TV live up to the standards it should have to deliver excellent legal analyst from competent and experienced legal minds. Real Bullets And Wood Bullets Are Not The Same, Why Didn't Baldwin Inspect The Gun Before Putting It In The Holster?
Because it was handed to him by a firearms expert, and there weren’t even supposed to be live rounds on the set. As an actor, I would imagine you would think that everything given to you (supposedly deemed safe by two other people) is not capable of doing damage.

I’m so shocked this happened. How did a live bullet get in there
The same way the blanks did.
With all the Spaghetti Westerns and John Wayne movies, did he ever kill anyone on the set?
I sure hope he does the same amount of prison time I'd do or anyone else without his recognition. He has been well trained for safe firearms use over the past few decades and he knew better than to take aim (call it what it was and stop trying to make it sound like an harmless act of pointing) at this lady, manipulate the arms action, pull the trigger. He broke far too many safety rules to claim it wasn't his fault as it most certainly was his fault! If someone else would have perpetuated this act they'd still be sitting in jail waiting for trial.
He’ll do the same time you would if convicted of the charges brought against him. He’s not up on murder charges.
Throw him under the jail already please
He’s not up on murder charges and folks don’t do real time in jail.
__not to mention
Who wants to see a western?
He should have knew better to NOT talk to police before having a lawyer with u!

I will always wonder about sabotage, motivated by labor disputes, being part of the puzzle.
At the end of the day this was Hannah’s job. Period. She failed.
they are both responsible.
I'm still extremely shocked that there hardly is any discussion about the discruntled crew that quit and left that morning. Here is, from what I understand, some crew members who were extremely, extremely dissatsified ie., mad, and pissed and who complained about safety issues, most notably about stuff like this happening on set
Then they all quit, and hours after they leave, the exact thing they complained about, happens.
The state has shown the real bullets we’re on set before any crew were disgruntled
A Murderer 👿
Not even the charge
Did Alec Baldwin undergo a background check, complete a gun safety course class to buy or have a gun? Because he should have known. You never pointed a gun at a person. If he did take a class , this is one of the things that talk about Besafe with a gun.
Actors are given firearm safety training. He's plenty familiar with gun safety.
Gee I don’t know maybe I’ll google it
Not buying it. Not buying it not buying it.
h3es acting right now i hope you all understand that
I didn't know it wasn't in the script for him to point the gun at her. In any case if it's anything like the airline industry there are so few accidental gunshot deaths that it's very safe to be playing make-believe with weapons. So get all your convictions cuz that's what you do Let It Go doesn't bring back lives
Me either til ur comment lol
No, it was not part of the script to point the gun at her. The woman he shot and killed was not an actress. She was one of the producers.
Regardless, if Helena wasn’t the one then it would of been someone else that would of been taken from this life. This film was bound to go down the grave due to impulsivity. Idiots.
By assuming...baldwin took full responsibility for the gun
It was clearly Agent 47 that brought the live ammo on the set for a contract.
Baldwin has strangely tiny hands with stumpy little fingers. I"ve always thought a person's hands reflect something of their nature. Make of that what you will ....
Was the accidental discharge preventable ?? Yes. There is video evidence of Baldwin pointing his gun directly at people and firing blanks. Baldwin was careless and wreckless with his firearm

He's still supposed to use basic gun safety in handling the gun. That means not pointing it at crew and pulling the trigger.
@@Kay__Tee yes that is right.
If I was Alec’s lawyer…..
All I’d do is show the 20 minute Clip from Clint Eastwood’s movie ‘The Gauntlet’…..where hundreds of actors (cops, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, teachers, grannies, gardeners, dentists, priests, nuns, cooks, clowns, FBI, CIA, politicians, etc) are shooting the SH!T out of that poor bus.
And then ask for all ‘THOSE’ actors to come forward and bring their legal, signed-off paperwork showing that they checked each and every gun and shook each and every bullet!
Then….I’d move on to the scene in the GodFather where poor Sonny (James Caan) gets blasted a million times. SAME QUESTION.
Lastly….I’d close with Warren Beatty & Faye Dunaway’s 10 minute lead-sucking, death-dancing in ‘Bonnie & Clyde’! SAME QUESTION.
