Between the time Matt Reeves was announced as The Batman director and the release, I got married, had my first kid, and bought a house. Literally a whole lifetime.
Leading up to Shogun John said he would do an after show no matter how little views it got. Anyone know why he changed his mind?

Before I hear John's answer to "What does it mean that The Marvels is the #1 movie on Neilsen as the most watched across all streaming services?" Here's my answer: It means John is correct that putting a movie in theaters increases the views it gets on streaming. It also indicates that there was interest in the movie but people weren't intersted enough to go to the theater and pay the price of a ticket for it when they could in the very near future see it in the comfort of their homes.
I'm with Ray, Terminal is a lovely flick, and the idea is interesting for a movie.
So every 4-5 years we will get sequel, by third movie Robert will be in 40s

I think this ' The Batman 2' is not going to see the daylight .
It does not make sense to have 2 Batman movies under production.
Superman will be release next year, I am pretty sure James Gunn will announce new Batman before the end of this year. And then star Shooting Batman Brave and Bold next year.
The new batman movie will be part of the DCU, Matt Reeve is adapting it to that universe like he’s going to do with his spinoff shows.
But The Batman brave and bold movie is supposed to be a new Batman set in the DCU , we can’t have two batmans in one universe ??
In my opinion I honestly don’t need a sequel I think The Batman can stand alone

A rushed movie is bad forever. A delayed movie is eventually good.

@@DeezWebbos1978 Since I do not have in depth knowledge of which movies have been rushed, and which have not, I will give you a list of movies which were bad even though they had enough delays.
Eternals (delayed one year)
Black Widow (delayed one and a half years)
Thor: Love and Thunder (unclear)
Black Adam (Released almost ten years after the idea was given)
The Flash (Very clear)
Not every movie which gets delayed is good. An argument can be made that all these were around COVID-19, but that shouldn't lead to a trash story.
Many of the Phase 2 and 3 movies were rushed (I cannot find sources, but the VFX artists have always said that they were making huge last minute changes just to meet the release date). Most of these movies turned out pretty good.
I’m not actually sure how many examples there are of ‘a delayed movie is eventually good’.
Maybe they want to finish series then do The Batman movie to wrap things up...
My grandfather's nephew is my father's 1st cousin and is my 1st cousin once removed (generational designation of how far removed one is from a common ancestor). My father's uncle (grandfather's brother) is the parent of the nephew. Sometimes uncle is used for a cousin because they're an older generation (and sometimes it's cultural) but the relationship is actually cousin. The nephew's children are my second cousins. These are the designations used by Ancestry and other companies that do genealogy charts - and also what I was taught in history and anthropology classes.
Example of how confusing it can get.: My grandfather's sister had twins (boy and girl). They were my dad's first cousins. I was brought up calling Carmen aunt but I never called Firmin uncle because I didn't meet him until I was about 20. I called the man my father's sister married uncle (accurate) but I also called his sister aunt (even though she wasn't a blood relation - Ancestry designation sister-in-law of aunt). In both case the people I called aunt were not my actual aunts.

In Denis first Dune, the Baron calls Leto cousin. Was that just a misdirect, or is that just something like when Snoop calls people 'nephew'
I am pretty sure in the book it is described that most of the noble houses are related and that Leto was a distant cousin to the Emperor. Vladimir does call Leto, "Cher Cousin" multiple times in the book but not sure it's meaning.

Regarding the dune question, cousin is correct. It would be second cousin or first cousin once removed. Your grandfathers brother would e great uncle and his sons that are not your father would be a uncle.
I was just about to post this as well, as I have relatives in the same fashion that I grew up with. My grandfather had several siblings and I grew up around a few of his nephews and nieces to which are my cousins. Technical terms are as you stated, we use second cousins if inquired about it.

John, not to fact check you but, Christopher Nolans Batman begins came out in 2005, then the dark knight came out in 2008 and the dark night rises came out in 2012. Even Mr Nolan took four years to direct the last installment. Yeah it sucks, but we still received a great movie. How many times did Top gun maverick get pushed back? And that made over a billion dollars. Maybe the anticipation for it will be worth it. Just a thought.

Top Gun Maverick was already done shooting just sitting on the shelve. They pushed it back because of the pandemic and Tom insisted on a theatrical release. Batman hasn't even started shooting, so its two different situations
