The first X-Men movie DID NOT start the golden age of comic book movies. That honor belongs to the first Blade movie. I should also point out that the first Blade movie (as well as it's two sequels) was R rated and had a lot of blood and gore and F-bombs.

Well X-Men showed comic movies could work. Blade was not made for kids you know..then came Spider-Man and even topped Both on that front. There you have the Start of the Comic book Era!!

@@zagariasbooysen7401 neither are the Deadpool movies, but no one is taking credit away from those movies. I should also point out that the prototype/test for the Blade movie was in two episodes of the 90's Spider-Man animated series which was (if I'm not mistaken) written by the writer of the Blade movies, David Goyer.

Deadpool and Wolverine reminds me a lot of Spider-Man: No Way Home. Both films feel like they're the pinnacle of their particular franchise and they're heavy with multi-versal aspects and the hype is enormous. I also worry that after this film the direction for deadpool 4 will be difficult to nail down bc this one will be so huge. This is what happened to Spider-Man 4. They're having a hard time figuring out what to do with it bc its predecessor was so successful.

The movie was very fun. Yes. The action was great... wait... fantastic. But the actual story was very poor. This will date very very quickly. Didn't feel like it changed the trajectory of the MCU besides saying "hey, all these fox characters are now in the MCU". Saying "the best since Endgame" is actually disrespectful to GOTG3 and even NWH. I LOVED certain scenes but plot and pacing was messy. I wouldn't say Marvel is saved though.

If we're being honest, not a lot of people knew Blade was a comic-book movie, let alone a movie based on a Marvel character. That was heavily promoted as a horror-action movie starring Wesley Snipes. Nobody in the GENERAL audience going to see that movie went into it thinking they were watching a movie based on a comic-book character. I remember back in the day talking to people about it, and when I mentioned that Blade was a "superhero," people were surprised. I remember telling my buddies at school: "Remember that episode of 'Spider-Man' where he fights that vampire, and he needs help from that dude on the motorcycle?" lol. While Blade does deserve credit for being able to take a comic-book character and make him and his world something worth taking seriously, "X-Men" was really the first movie since "Batman & Robin" to actually be open about being based on a superhero property, and translate it to film.

@@wesleycolvin7158 he's literally said its not that easy when its in New York. Because he said he would be interested in going to comic Con in New York but because its there it's not so easy and he said he was invited to a premiere in New York before but it got cancelled and he literally had to turn around, junp back on another plane back home lol. I think that experience turned him off to going to New York for premieres as well

Just after the 1st trailer I guess the box office takings would be a $1B now with these early review is looking bloody super achievable. Last 2 Deadpool movies almost made $800M with Hugh Jackman as the big bad wolverine easy!!

I reckon from indieware and Gamespot, to name a few? The Same guys who gave Secret Invasion, She-Hulk, The Acolyte, and Thor Love and Thunder higher scores? Yeah no. Don't listen to those so called "reviews." Watch the film first and then you can make a decision to agree with them or not. That's what I'm doing. But besides that, the reviews I'm hearing online is overwhelmingly positive soo... yeah.

Dead Pool and Wolverine is one of those movies that you have to judge yourself. Like yeah yeah I know everyone who already saw it is gonna say it's awesome. But just 'how awesome' will I find it? 🤔
