- Okay lads, here’s the reason behind the title “Watched in 0.25x Speed” even though I didn’t actually watch it at that speed yet (till Blu-Ray): I’ve seen the film six times in theaters and discovered some incredible hidden details. I decided to use this title to connect with my core audience more effectively. I hope you all understand and appreciate the intent behind it!

You probably don't care, but in latin america dub, Deadpool and Johnny storm share the same voice actor called "Pepe Toño Macías". So when Johnny died because of Cassandra, Deadpool said "now you won't be confused by the voices anymore" which is a subtle reference that had me rolling with laughter.
GG Latins😂😂😂
Lmao I love that

I will always love how when we first get to the TVA they put so much focus on Captain America. I got so hyped as well and completely missed how he doesn't talk like Cap or that it wouldn't make sense for a Captain America to be in a void before the reveal. Absolutely brilliant.
We have some breadcrumbs as to how Cap would've ended up in the void. The events of avenger end game and how he never went back to their present after returning the stones. A few branches/decisions he made there probably ended up in the void. Also probably why that version of him would've been skinny and not the buff Cap we know.
This is why I didn't find it odd that it was a skinnier version of Cap, it just instantly clicked in my head, until he started talking lmfao. Literally wore the same WTF face DP had haha
I screamed in the cinema. They totally got me.
Fun fact: At the end of the Ashes music video for Deadpool 2 Deadpool says "We should have asked Nsync"
OHMYGODDD WTF. Just realised this
And the same song is played in the car in X-Men 2
@@warrengouldthorpe5091 exactly
cant able to find plz help
Another fun fact is in first movie of x men (or second or third) that song was played on a car radio and wolverine hated it. So deadpool basically dances on his grave with the song he hates
Fun fact in 2:26 the song bye bye bye by nsync was actually used in x men 2 where Logan, pyro and rogue were in cyclops car and the radio turned on and that same music went on (bye bye bye) which Logan was disgusted by it and hated that song that he quickly turned it off. This shows that deadpool loves making logan/wolverine angry even when he’s dead, and is a reference from the old movie that logan used to be in.😂
i was gonna comment this noooo candian lad add this detail in the video pls
It was Wolverine, Rogue and Pyro in Cyclops' car. Pyro turned on the radio
I just watched x2 a few days ago and noticed this hahah
plus in the suit during shooting it was an actual Nsync member doing the dance for that opening scene.
@@chueysteel are you sure cause In an interview Ryan Reynolds confirmed that he wasn’t in the suit but a man name nick pauly a popular TikTok dancer who actually was in the suit instead dancing
24:11 I feel like “saving the universe” carries a much lighter meaning ever since Loki and the Multiverse Saga. An incredible moment nonetheless.
I think they saved the multiverse, as casandra would demolish every universe
What....? If you don't explain that more, then you just sound dumb
It carries less of a noble, selfless meaning, but it carries much more of a personal meaning. DP could have just gone to a different universe with all of his friends and put down stakes there, but that was HIS universe. HIS friends. That's why it carried so much meaning
@@icy_fire4080 true but my point still stands. “Saving the universe” does carry a light meaning
@@stormrider24 YES! You’re so right
In German, Deadpool says, 'I should have recognized him by the voice,' when Johnny Storm falls to the ground and Wolverine says, 'We don't know him.' This is because Johnny Storm and Captain America have different voice actors in the German dubbing.
That's actually a great and clever translation of the original joke
Germany is really Great,I would love to live there!!👍
@@Earth12181 Bye Bye Bye
this is incredible bro
In spainsh is the exact opposite, they have the same voice actor 😂
Wolverine cutting his pistols in half was a reference to the first X-men movie where he cut the gun in half in the bar. That same moment was shown again in Logan, but he missed the gun and cut the guys arm off, showing his age
Less his age and more of how shit his vision is, which shows his weak healing factor. It's stated more obviously when he see him put reading glasses on, and when Caliban goes off about how something is wrong with Logan
Or.. or, it was showing his.... Rage
It was showing how rusty he is (both literally and figuratively) @@iAmNemoYT
Nah no correlation he was just drunk
@@iAmNemoYT no after cutting the arm, he said "f*ck", becsuse it shot the car, he was aiming for the gun and missed it therefore hitting the car. This whole time he was protecting the car, it doesnt make sense for him to cut the whole hand because that would damage to the car.
21:51 I think that the circus tent is actually referencing the movie “The Greatest Showman” which Hugh Jackman stared in!
Looking further into it, this must be that tent it is an exact match!
it is!!!
To further add to this, The Greatest Showman was released the same year as Logan
The film also has greatest showman music, so this is most likely it.
@@srinikhavijay43AND Deadpool threatens to have Wolverine sing acapella iirc which is probably also a reference to Showman
YOU MISSED AN IMPORTANT DETAIL!!!
The song "Bye Bye Bye" was first used in X-Men 2 in the car scene when pyro puts it on and everyone INCLUDING wolverine hated it 😂😂😂
I’m SO happy I’m not the only one that noticed that!!
Yes
yesss
Came to say the same thing
Yes!!!! Just noticed this on a rewatch of X2. Deep cut!

My favorite bit is that there's still tiny bits of hair from where Wade stapled it on. What amazing details
It's scary to me😬😬
Omg I was laughing so hard when they ripped it off and then I kept seeing it 😂
I was so annoyed by it all movie. The last I remember seeing it for sure is the diner but I remember seeing it getting blown off when they connected the matter and anti-matter. You really got to hand it to them for being so dedicated tho
LOL Thanks. There is sooo much to miss; in my mind i thought it was glue, but yah it's staples. :)
22:29
Not sure if it matters but a great Easter Egg you might have missed just before Deadpool promises to fix Wolverine’s universe, Wolverine says, “Let’s see you grow your f***ing head back!”
That’s a reference to how Wolverine killed Deadpool in their first ever interaction in X-Men Origins Wolverine.
Love your videos, huge fan
It's also a reference to the final battle from X-Men The Last Stand, where Logan fights a mutant who repeatedly grows their limbs back, so he kicks his balls and says "Grow those back" LMAO
@@petejohnes8442or maybe just reference to final fight of Wolverine Origins where Logan cut off Deadpool's head
Also another wisecrack similar to Francis saying Wade’s body parts having to grow him back.
I just noticed the black TVA agent the who speaks gets hit many times during the opening and never dies 😂
Except when he gets a sword through his mouth (the "Canada" scene).
18:41 "Down the street" is also actually a reference to comics history. The old offices of Marvel and DC were literally across the street from each other.
theres a famous story about todd macfarlane quitting marvel and then walking over to DC just to tell them he wont work for them without even hearing their offer.
I did not know that 😯
McFarlane was in Marvel? :O
But, I should had noticed...some early Venom/Spider-Man comics have his hallmark graphics style.
Todd Co created Venom
@@zombieninjatedsmith1301 Did not know that, thanks :O
When Gambit and Johnny Storm appeared on the screen, I wanted to scream with happiness..sadly hardly one in the theatres acknowledged the other cameos with Gambit except Chris Evans..
Johnny storm in the F4 movies was a quirky and an amazing character to watch and making a comeback in this movie was worth-watching!
Ikr, the moment he said Flame On I was ecstatic 😮🎉😂
I burst out laughing when Captain America yelled Flame On!
I saw it the Thursday night of release and the amount of cheering when the cameos showed up was amazing. Last movie I attended like that was Endgame.
I just straight up yelled with all my power and did not give a fuck. IT WAS SUCH A MIND BLOWING SCENE especially when I saw the card entering the room I knew whose coming up next even talking about that scene gives me goosebumps. I love this movie so muchhhhhh ♥️✨
when Elektra on screen. I'm the only one screaming at the theater
You missed two major hidden details:
1) At 6:00 wade is wearing the time machine watch which sort of looks like the omnitrix from Ben 10
2) The song Bye Bye Bye has a major significance in the movie, it was chosen because in the movie X men 2 when Wolverine was driving a car the radio played the song which wolverine immediately turned off because he was annoyed by it. Which goes to show how much deadpool wanted to annoy wolverine by using the same song…
I mean the first one kinda feels like a stretch, Ben 10 isn’t a marvel franchise so it’s not tied in that way and the watch facilitates time travel (and universal travel) but not transformation so it feels like a coincidence in that they are both basically glowing watches
So something small I noticed was Mr. Paradox's tie. Its one straight line, which is his characters objective to prune things till there is one sacred timeline left. Oh and thanks for covering the Cavillrine claw pop!! So great!
I'd just like to point out that every line in this movie was also a subtle meta-commentary.
"I gave up being deadpool and got myself a stable boring job" could be commentary about Ryan Reynolds, how the deadpool movies themselves were at risk of becoming soulless corporate crap if the movies themselves weren't serving a bigger meta purpose
"You need the avengers, but the Avengers are those who are needed" - is the fact that Deadpool was needed to re-invigorate the Avengers franchise.
"When an anchor being dies their timeline breaks down over time" - commenting that some franchises exist around specific actors and can't continue (without a reboot) without them. Which of course means that Paradox is a Studio Exec surrogate because he's 'cutting his losses and starting over' instead of letting a timeline (franchise) die naturally, which is commentary on the Reboot phenomenon.
This trend continues. Every line! Every word spoken by Wesley Snipes is commentary on him as the Blade actor and every word spoken by Gambit was a commentary on the Gambit movies that never were.
Ugh not every line lol some were just comments on what was happening in the movie.
What you said about the anchor being could also be commentary on how after RDJ left the MCU pretty much got worse and worse. He was the MCU’s “Anchor being”
That's a sound observation actually
@@classicdomdadicewa1359 Basically, deadpool is slowly becoming the new anchor being tho
@@alexjackyperson101 yes, he may end up being the new face of the MCU. Pretty fitting because in a lot of older Marvel media he actually was the face.
20:00
“Hugh’s acting is fenomenal!”
Hugh: 🫠
Fun fact: Deadpool's new admantiam swords the handle joining the blade (tsuba) has a Deadpool logo on it. It shows between the first fight of Deadpool and Wolverine
I haven't been able to go ten shorts without seeing the intro
I have watched it at least a 100 times due to it coming in my feed, and yet I will watch it again if it comes up.
Good
Me too
You mean ten seconds?
I have 1000
I still haven't seen anyone point out that, after their anchor being dies, timelines naturally get deleted after 2,000 years. LITERALLY 20 centuries.
It's like a bunch of little kids making up separate stories that are only even sustained because now one keeps track of all the contradictions.
All the fox timelines and characters by definition are NOT a part of the sacred timeline, defined in Loki as the Events up to and including Endgame where they time travel
to defeat Thanos - and XMEN and all the events that define them do NOT EXIST.
Therefore there is no way for Logan or Deadpool to save anything or any part of their Universe - at all, period.
@@summertyme5748The are not part of the Sacred Timeline as the film points out, but they are part of the Multiverse.
A narrative device that allows them to acknowledge everything that went before, (so the events that define them DO exist) while keeping them seperate in alternate 'realities'.
And Logan hasn't died yet
They could've just used the canon event concept for this movie
@@summertyme5748 No one ever said that they were part of the sacred timeline. They’re from alternate timelines.
The "I like me mug" is a reference to the John Candy movie Planes Trains and Automobiles. The car and trunk from the same movie appears later as Wolverine and Deadpool are walking in the void just before they meet Dogpool and Nicepool.
Edit: the Canadian Mounted is also a reference to the Planes Trains and Automobiles as it's the book John Candy is reading in the movie. Ryan Reynolds is a huge John Candy fan
I love that
16:23 Another thing to mention about Comic Accurate Wolverine's body hair is that it's another way he's comic accurate since Wolverine is not just a short king but a very, very, very hairy short king.
6:11 I think Deadpool was actually referring to Stan Lee when this happened, he called him the man because it’s Stan The Man and it was 2018 in this scene so he didn’t die yet, that’s also why he said cameos instead of meeting
💔
RIP Mr. Stan😔
I thought it was Nick Fury...
that’s sweet but i thought it was obviously tony
@@moshymoshThis is what I thought as well
Another detail for 22:07 : after Logan stands up and heals from the gunshots, the bullets drop and recreate the famous 20th century fox entry sound
I called it that Deadpool was gonna go around finding the best Wolverine. The TVA say in the movie that he's the worst, but he ends up proving to be the absolute best. The way I see this version of him as a mix between the comic book and Fox Wolverine. So like in the comics he is basically invincible and regenerates stupidly fast. He has the same kind of tragic story as he does in the Fox stories. And he has a comic book accurate suit. We see him doing comic book moves and just shrugging off being stabbed through the heart. Even in Wolverine Origins, this hurt him and made him have to take it out before carrying on fighting. In DvW he just ignores a sword stuck in his heart lmao.
While true I thought his first suit was tan and yellow
"Didn't you fight Hulk in that suit?"@@Londonlink
Lmao facts and he kept them there for a fat minute untill deadpool called timeout to clean him up before tryna fight badly
fr i noticed he barely flinched when getting stabbed in this one. does that mean he will easily beat hulk?
@@nickmagwood9200 Hell no.
18:03 fun fact: this reference has a total new level when you know that Deadpool's Brazilian VA was Loki Voice actor before Loki series (he didn't voice acted bc he was sick). He even says it doing Loki's voice
Will be even more interesting when the future Loki/Deadpool in Thor's arms scene comes up!
In the scene where Deadpool uses Nicepool as a shield, DP tells NP "You're going to live. Say it. Say it louder!" is a reference to Disney Pixar Inside Out scene where Bing Bong tells Joy to sing louder.
No its not
19:37 thing nobody talked about is that Deadpool saw his suit while lifting him and turned towards us and said "That only took 20 fucking years" 😂😂 because they didn't showed his comic accurate suit all these years.
... Because even children can catch that
Although I would have liked Wade's friends to have done more things in this movie because I love them all, I have to say that they are a good motivator for the character, and that is something that has been very consistent from the 3 Deadpool movies, yes, We all love the jokes, the action and the music, but Ryan and company give everything so that the emotional core of the story works and is well done.
The storefront where they come out together to fight all the Deadpool variants is called “Liefeld’s just feet”. This refers to Rob Liefeld, the comic book writer.
Which is a double joke, as liefeld can't draw feet.
Rob Liefield was very bad at drawing feet and would go to absurd levels to avoid it. Everyone walked through ankle-deep fog, there was rubble in the front of the frame, etc.
After the tva agents appears in the woods in the intro, he mention that there are 206 bones in the human body. This is a call back to 12 bullets left and shows how far the budget has come since the first deadpool movie
I saw this twice in theaters. First time I've ever paid to see a movie twice in a theater. Both times, and in the 2 weeks after, I have been waiting for Canadian Lad to come out with this. THIS IS THE FIRST PART OF THE VIDEO IVE BEEN WAITING FOR ALMOST AS MUCH AS I WAITED TO SEE THE ACTUAL MOVIE. Thank you so much, Lad!
Of all video reviews, recaps and the like, not one has mentioned the: Wait! as a nod to D1.
Good video as usual!
With Loki now the god of stories and at the center of everything, it makes a ton of sense how all these universes are no longer treated as something tangible and real, but are now treated as stories. When the main character finishes his story, or is removed, the interest of the audience withers. Eventually that story, that universe, simply fades into nothingness. I really love this twist to the MCU Multiverse and I'm really happy Deadpool of all things solidified this meta.
Whoa… you just blew my mind.
Is that why Deadpool said Loki had sacrificed himself and died? I'm just curious about what's going on. Why is no one mentioning this? Yes, I did watch the movie Deadpool and Wolverine. I did not like it as much, but I am questioning deadpool words.
@@amberlovefox Given that Deadpool thought the TVA were strippers, he probably doesn’t know about the events of the Loki TV show. I think he was talking about Prime Loki’s death in Infinity War?
One of the things i actually noticed that I liked was Johnny storm was wearing not just his fantastic 4 suit but captian America's pants dedicating both marvel roles he played
Well they had to show off America's ass properly 😝
If you listen carefully at the part when Wolverine bangs Deadpool's head against the radio; the radio plays "wooooaaah" (for a milisecond) from the opening of "The World's Greatest Showman"

I love the Cavilrine and the reload trademark move. I think that's neat. To me it reminds me of the different variants of kihaps that people use in martial arts to throw off an opponent. But, I love how it's used as a signature form of body language to engage. With the claws that's just an extra level of cool so I hope that shows up more because like Logan getting into his stance on all fours like a beast is such a beautiful fighting form to see on screen that it's why I hope those unique points like 22:20 that you mention is what I want to see!

Hey, Canadian Lad! I got a missed detail for you! Not really an easter egg or anything but in the opening Marvel Studios Logo, inside the M we see a shot of Deadpool in the car doing the waving finger motion when he fights Wolverine later on in the movie. This just shows that Deadpool is so powerful/meta that he can show/reference other things especially ones that canonically haven't even happened to him yet.
17:28 - THIS is my favorite outfit for Wolverine. It makes so much more sense in a real-world application. The colors help him to blend in to his surroundings.
20:29 I am going to go with a slightly less in-universe reason and say that "the superiors" are Disney, considering earlier Deadpool smashes the camera to tell Fox he is going to Disneyland.

Hey lad at 5:12 its not blood vessels or nerve it is LIGAMENT(which connects bone to bone) and TENDONS (which connects bone to muscles) these connective tissues are exceptionally durable...
What ligament or tendon is long enough to use as ropes? Nerves and blood vessels was probably right.
Always loved your breakdowns of all these movies. Really appreciate it man!
And also, when DP brings in Wolverine from the portal it's like the "Get Help" scene from Thor Ragnarok. And also he asked why Thor was crying, which was edited from Thor Dark world with Loki
The wildest part about this movie is how it allows itself to be serious and sincere and not ruin cool and serious moments with a stupid quip.
