This race show how talented Grosjean is ! And also poor strategies from Andretti... But this overtake on Mclaughlin is incredible ! It's the best move of 2023 ! I hope Grosjean go back in Dale Coyne team's the next year.
I really think the title is harsh. Strategy worked out perfect for McLaughlin especially with that yellow. Compare the gap he pulled Vs the other 2 stoppers at the end. The fact RoGro managed to be so close on a non optimum strategy was a great drive. The mistake at T5 I don't think made a difference as he was out of P2P so should have been overtaken anyway
Fair point, I agree that in all other aspects it was a great drive. I guess for me I felt he’d be able to hold Scotty off at the end as long as he kept it on the road, and since he didn’t it makes this a big choke. But your right overall a great drive.
Grosjean is a good driver, but he's his own worst enemy. Whenever he brainfarts he is a danger to everyone out there and himself. He needs a lot of work with a psychologist.
I'd still say that St. Petersburg was more painful..... McLaughlin was not fair and Grosjean should've waited. Hey, at least he was still second here so that's still excellent.
what was weird about this race was romain had no p2p. normally he's great at managing p2p. at that last time he ran wide gave scott the race must have been soul crushing....but still that doesn;t explain him and his team's poor-mid performances the next races.
Nah even though the mistake was terrible, I don't think this was his biggest choke. I think his first part of 2012 season in F1 was one massive choke ending in a race ban right after the summer break...
one tiny mistake costed him his 1st and probably only ever win, and it seems that it will unfortunately cost him his indycar career as well, if he had won here im sure he would have had much more confidence for the rest of the season, unfortunately thats not how it went :((
Thanks for the response mate love your videos. Australian here but gotta give those darn Kiwi's their due. They can drive. SVG full time there next year you gotta love that !@@GivingChase2
Is this Romain Grosjean's biggest Choke?
Nah, Romain's biggest choke was in F1. Spa 2012 to be precise.
@@muscless89 I'd say the 2018 Chinese GP. That was downright embarrassing

For sure. The timing of the yellow gave team Penske a huge advantage. The series likes to treat them favorably for some reason...
Yeah, a real choke was if he binned it, resulting in a DNF.
@@2speedy4u22bringing this comment back after another one for penske last week!
7:40 Still the best overtake in this season of Indycar

saying he choked is pretty rough man.
Unfortunately this was the worst way for Romain to lose an IndyCar race. Wasted all his Push-2-Passes
Agreed

RoGro deserves another shot at Andretti

I’m just salty he didn’t win 😂. Pain

im not sure you saw the last time out in Bahrain
I prefer to call it a nightmare…

Dude well at least give us the final result !
Scotty went on to win, grosjean slowly fell back and finished second. Thanks for the feedback 🙏

I'm sorry mate, but the jumpcuts in your narration make this video borderline unwatchable
Thanks for the feedback 🤝
But yes he did choke
He's a human crash trying to find a place to happen when ever he goes out on track ...
Isn't most of his career one big choke?
