Such a difficult epic game. You are a real pro!
One of my fave games. This was definitely one of the best sounding games that ever came out for the humble speccy. Great memories of this, loved the sequel as well.
Very strange game, remember playing it back in Russia in 91, not understanding what the hell was going on. Good times. :)
This game was very impressive technically - the number of both small and large (16x24) sprites moving on screen at once is pretty difficult on the Spectrum, even at only 25fps. As a contrast, Manic Miner only ever had up to 9 sprites on screen at once, and they were only a maximum of 16x16 pixels.
My friend Toby and I used to play this on his Commodore 64, although we never got anywhere near finishing the game. My favourite part was to float along on the raft at the bottom, which, it seems from this video, was a pointless exercise.
Я помню в школе рисовал рисунки с уровнями по мотивам этой игры )
And people moaned how hard NES games were lol try this bad boy!
I loved this game. Extremely hard and frustrating. Need have a lot of patience and precision.
Всегда нравилась эта игра, хоть я её так и не прошёл :)
This game is a masterpiece lots of hours spent on this one.
Это же надо так всё запомнить, где подождать, где прыгнуть, где правильно упасть.
So dam hard these zx spectrum games.
So much happening in all the screens!
Good memories comes from this one, i really liked the game although i never got game through.
I remember to spend alot of hours playing this game when I was kid, nowadays I am not sure if I have the enough patience to play it jajaaaj. Best regars from Buenos Aires, Argentina. (42 years old today)
Never seen this game before but I like it. Bags of character! The title screen says "Mirrorsoft", but the flag at 0:42 looks more like Microsoft! LOL
I played this back in the day, brilliant!
beepity-beepity-beep!!! Nostalgia's not what it used to be
Hi, are you the same Rod Bowkett who wrote this game??
who else?
Great, it's good to hear from you! Thanks for the Dynamite Dan games, some of the best on the speccy! May I ask a question about Dynamite Dan II? Is there a way to complete it? The instructions say to lay a bomb in Dr Blitzen's lab on the last island, but the man doesn't seem to have one, so no bomb can be planted.
Did painters smoked some weed to create such plots and sprites?
Personally, I prefer the Spectrum graphics to the Commodore 64 ones; they have a vibrancy and 'pop' quality that comes with making the most of a reduced colour palette. Both great games, though - I'm guessing that this will be what comes to mind when I hear the 'Turkish March', until the day I die. :)
How did they fit all that in 48Kb???
Didn't know Conan O'Brien had a game.
VERY GOOD SKILL ! WELL DONE ! MY FAVORITE GAME ! I NEVER GOT ENDED ! TO HARD FOR ME !
OH my god. i cant believe i finally find it !!! i forgot the name of this game, it was my childhood game, i spent days with my father and mother and my brother to solve it ! is there anywhere it can be played on windows now ?
I'm going to Google it,I'd love to play this game again, just for nostalgia 😊
Реальная наркомания!
Finished this game when i was a kid , and at the end it gives you a phone number to phone for a prize, and as a kid i was exited to find out what i'd won, but it ended up being one of those premium numbers i think.
How many million times you tryed!!?????? Its impossible!
*chuckles* Rollback feature.
ахренеть!!!
Where were you in 89?
classic
Hello,from 2023 😅
It's 💩 here in 2023,stay where you are 👍🏻
I remember when you completed it there was a phone number to call. It didn’t work…
I want it in 3D
It's engaged?
I have this game but rarely play it as it is just way too hard.
bah...rollback again and again.
Did anyone ever claim the prize?
I have no idea, would be interesting to know this!
@@rzxarchive does mirrorsoft still exist?
It shut down in 1992 according to Wikipedia.
No, it became Image Works but was later dissolved as it was part of the Mirror Group owned by Robert Maxwell when he died.
I was 12 or 13 when I cracked the code at the end,
but since I didn’t speak English at the time, my dad called the number only to find out that others had claimed the prize already. It was pretty upsetting…
Imagine showing a kid back then a PS4 Game, they would probably shit their pants.
Ah so that's how to do it lol, infinite hours spent on this bad boy.
Triple A games concentrate on graphics more than gameplay, unfortunately, and now woke virus has infected their wallets.
Bring back the 80's mentality, the gamer not profit.
