I've live in cities all over the US, but I lived here as a teenager and then moved back 5 years ago. I've been all over San An, walked, taken the bus, drove, and lived in multiple neighborhoods. There is no place in San Antonio that is really all that dangerous if you myob and don't go around looking like an easy mark. Take care, pay attention, but don't stress about it. San An is one of the friendliest places I've ever lived, and the only really scary place is Loop 1604.

Be careful a doctor or lawyer might jump you. 😂 Even our really bad neighborhoods are safe as long as you show respect to everyone. There are very few bad people here, and if they mess with you, there will be someone coming to your rescue. I can and have walked alone in every neighborhood and felt safe. San Antonio is your typical liberal run city. It’s also a nice city. Unlike most large cities, San Antonio knows how to party as whole. We have almost 2 weeks of fiesta in April where the whole city parties throughout different locations but mainly downtown. That’s why when the Spurs won their championships, the city partied peacefully. No looting, burning cars or buildings.

San Antonio is awesome as long as you love grey skies 75% of the time to go along with the average 85% humidity and 90+ consecutive 100+ degree days. Your children will be fat but great at video games. Sickness is constant because the entire city is related to each other and has BBQs every weekend and everyone comes even if they are dying of covid. Wonderful just wonderful city. Outside activities? Yeah theres 2. As long as you like sweating your ass off during summer that lasts 10 months of the year. Hope you like traffic. Entire city has been under construction since 1980. Great city planners. By the time construction is complete, you need 2 more lanes because every 30 years theres about 5 generations born. Fantastic city.
