Come along with us as we take a scenic drive through the Wind River Canyon in Wyoming on U.S. Highway 20. We’re just southeast of Yellowstone on the Wind River Canyon Scenic Byway.
As we wind through the canyon, you can see the spectacular rock walls rising 2,500 vertical feet on either side of us. These are some of the oldest rock formations in the world, dating back to the Precambrian period, more than 2.9 billion years ago!

I have driven this road so many times. It's actually an optical illusion. You could swear you were going down hill coming and going. It's actually a level road. The mountains make you think it's going down hill. One day I was so curious about it that I stopped my car and put it in neutral expecting it to roll forward. When it didn't move I figured out it was an optical illusion.

We used to live in Casper and would go to Thermopolis to swim. We lioved to swim there especially in the winter when it was bitterly cold.we would have snow ball fights outdoors and then jump in the water. It would be zero outside but the mineral water was so warm.

I live in Thermopolis. It's hard to film but this is a very good video. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid hide out near the tunnels. I lived on boisen peak back in 1963 for a couple of weeks. My dad ran the TV transmitter. Back when Thermop had a TV station. Very good video.
