I'm from Australia and I have been fortunate enough to have driven through this area on 3 separate occasions. The first time was in 1976 and the last about 10 years ago. It is truly a spectacular landscape and an experience I shall never forget. I do hope to do it again in the future. Stay safe everyone.
Thank you for the tour, I am disabled at 67 years old live in kentucky, and, cannot go to these places myself. At least you took me with you! Thanks again. Doc Mike USN
good video .. but a terrable noise in the background
*69 now, are you still with us❓ It’s all up to you because I got covered up with rock in KY myself but I’m still going **#Michael_Ashcraft**.*
@@mikehood8699 *I like the sound myself. Not noise at all.*
I traveled to the United States for the first time in 2014. I drove this section of the road from the Grand Canyon and the scenery was spectacular.
Where are you from?
Very nice thanks for showing ! i rode that back in '94 on a Mountainbike from Las Vegas to trough Monument valley, painted dessert, Grand canyon and all those other wonderfull places in the States.
During my 38 year OTR truck driving career I practically begged to take every load out west...I didn't care...Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah...you name it! There's just something about the desert that draws me to it. You would think with 880 miles from east to west, and, the 950 miles north to south in my home state of Texas that'd be enough. Nope! I've been retired from the trucking industry since February of 2015, and, hopefully, soon, I will return to the road once again! Only, this time I'll be living full time in my Class B Roadtrek 190! No bosses, no schedules, no weight cops, no scales, no log books....just me, my music, the open road, and, the smell of the desert wind in my face! I can't wait to see the things I couldn't before when I was behind the windshield of an 18 wheeler! The road is calling me, and, the road is where I will live until the end my life! Thank you for this wonderful video; it brought back a lot of memories!

JIM'S WORLD Did you ever make it there?
JIM'S WORLD Oh wait, I just clicked on your profile & saw that you have videos posted !! I subscribed & will check out your videos as soon as I can 😀
I retired in 2016 after 44 yrs of driving a truck. I took a 2 wk vacation with my wife right through this country he is showing, I enjoyed it. I hope to make the drive again. I'm from Carlinville, IL
No bosses, no schedules...LOL...the definition of lovely life...no?
JIM'S WORLD - Why don't you sell everything and move out there?
I cry everytime I see or think about 163 and this area. So many memories, I need to go back 🥲
We drove this same road on our way to Monument Valley last month. What an awesome trip! The icing on the cake was that we ended up getting what amounted to a "personal tour" of Monument Valley with Yvonne; we were the only ones on that tour!!
Monument Valley is such a beautiful, lonely, desolate place! I'd had it as my wallpaper on my desktop for so many years, it was surreal to drive through and see the monuments in real life!
Amazing America ...love and regards from India 🙏🏻
After watching the movie "Once upon a time in the west" seeing Monument Valley after many years gives me goosebumps, thank you for taking us there.
Went to the art store today and dropped a load of money for art supplies. Then I came back here for the inspiration to create what my soul cries for. Thanks once again for this burst of energy. Peace
I spent 6 months in NYC and then had an idea to go to the monument valley, after watching 'Forest Gump' again, and this video helped me to make my mind on this trip, and it was the best road trip I have ever had, it worth a visit absolutely!!!!!!!
The American Southwest. There's no place like it. What an incredible scenery once again!
there really isn't any place like it ! finally got there a couple of years ago and loved it ! i hope i can spend the rest of my vacations exploring the desert southwest !
On my gosh
Kia Ora
Wow!😮
Yes I agree with you..
That was brilliant, I am in the UK and hopefully will get to see it for real before I leave this good earth.
Hi Sheila we did this road trip in 2009 its like lot of things in life be careful not to leave it too late i promise you wont regret it My wife has Ms and i new if we did not get on and do it soon we would not be going at all as her walking was getting worse and i was right as her mobility is now so bad she could not do it now. the whole of that part of the USA is amazing and is a must see. we also did route 66 in 2012 again for the same reason. that's a 3 week adventure starting in Chicago and ending in Santa Monica pier California 3000 miles all the way. you don't need a company to organize these kind of trips book your flights with the airline book your car with a car hire company work out the route with as many sites of interest as possible then book all of your hotels with a free breakfast on that route allowing about 200 miles a day . 200 miles in a day is easy peasy on their roads. use google earth for the route and emails for every thing else
I love america, i love america more than my own soul and life, america the great
Me too
This is one of the best videos I've ever seen, and the music is perfect for this trip, thanku very much, this was great, take care and drive safe guys..
I have driven from Las Vegas to Phoenix through Zion Canyon via Monument valley. We rented a car on 9 AM and returned on next day's 9 AM. The girl of Hertz was astonished. That journey has been the greatest one in my life.
Monument valley is a must see God’s gift too us all. It is breathtaking and magnificent. First time I saw it I could not believe a place with just butte’s and Mesa ‘ can be so beautiful. Put it in your bucket list, you will never regret it.
Sorry pal, natures gift, god is a man made creation.
Time to grow up and start thinking.
Shut up
Is this the Paul Posey that lived in Tallahassee, FL?
@@garysmith7397 sorry, no I live in SC
I am sitting here stunned by the beauty of Monument Valley. It's almost fake. Superb video, thank you.
Nostalgic! I am fortunate enough to be there last year and explored the entire Canyon across all three states Arizona, Utah and Nevada. This was one of the most memorable drive in my lifetime.
No greenery and no vegetation. A wild, eerie , sinister looking place. The landscape so intimidating.
Kalyan Kumar not really
It's nice that somebody took the time to film the entire road. I played some great music and dreamed I was there. Thank you, you made me travel... from Paris, France to the U.S
Have you ever visited the American Southwest? If you haven't, I hope one day, you can experience this magnificent place in person too!
I will sure do so ...

I live in Arizona, where Monument Valley is located, and in 38 yrs, have still not been to this place. I'm thinking of a drive up with my sons, for Easter. Also, look up Havasu Falls on RUclips, another treasure of Arizona. I've been there four times and, I'm telling you, it's a life changing experience. Arizona is amazing.

My wife and I have traveled to Monument Valley twice in the last 40 years. Such a beautiful place, to put it mildly. Like the Grand Canyon, everyone needs to see it at least once.
What an amazing place Takes me back to my days in India watching western movies with my Dad God bless America the beautiful the land that gave me Elvis Ricky Nelson Johnny Cash and all my favourite western stars Thank you from Melbourne Australia
Rock on Aussie!
Thank you,
Wonderful video
Love this Monument Valley is better place of America
I love you USA♥
The perfect song for that route. Dwight Yokam 1000 miles from nowhere
I live in Indiana. Going out west is a place I'll never get sick of.
i (from the uk) have made three visits to various places on this trip( las vegas, zion, bryce, monument valley, grand canyon north and south rims etc), and next spring will be visiting them again plus many more including capitol reef, moab, arches, canyonlands, sedona, prescott valley etc....american roads i find your videos inspiring, and have helped me search for and visit some beautiful awe inspiring places in the south west....so thank you friend, i often feel like i am in the car with you
Marvellous vistas... Monument Valley is one of my absolutely favourite sites on this planet...
Well I've watched this one more time. I've lost count of how many times now
Thanks for sharing.
We visited W-America last year. We've seen beautiful things, a dreamtrip, drove many many Miles but we never got tired of the landscape. It changes a lot. So thank you for this video, it all comes back...
You are welcome. The West is indeed a beautiful place!
northwest is more pretty, green, huge mountains and vast forests
Thank you for that great Video. Everytime I come to the US I try to at least drive some part of the Grand Circle and LOVE it every single time!
Especially liked the part when you passed Mexican Hat. Stayed there in 1999 for a night and missed the landmark three times since it is way smaller than I had guessed from the pictures I had seen berfore.
Thank you very much. That road was a highlight of our 2012 US road trip. Going down 163, I was looking left, looking right, looking in the rear view mirror until we saw that "iconic" shot from Forest Gump (and many other movies). One of my favorite shots from the trip.. We also had the same view from our hotel room....Going to download to keep the memory alive.... ....Jim from Australia...
that moment at 4:52 though! all ideas of worry and stress is gone faster than the pace of the music can keep up
Love driving down that road to Monument Valley. Thanks for the memory.
Magnificent! Need to add this to my list of drives to see in person, one day.
Drove there from Vegas to the spot where Gump stopped running. The scenery is mind blowing, something out of this world.
I've been up to Mexican Hat from Kayenta on my motorcycle, spectacular riding area. The Southwest is a great area for riding on 2 wheels! Songs were great choices too!
Perfect combination of music and scenery. One of my favourite Dwight Yokum recordings, and my dream travel destination. Every time I watch videos of the early scenes of Easy Rider (where they ride through this area) I imagine myself in their place.
In 2014 my buddy and i did a roadtrip from the east coast to the west coast (over 6 weeks and 8000 miles!). And we drove that exact same route as in this video too. Monument Valley is amazing! Thanks for the video.
Greetings from Costa Rica, excellent video.
One of the best scenarios I've seen.
I love this type of landscape.
Gracias! Ha visitado este lugar bonito?
I have not visited it, but I hope to visit it one day.
Thank you so much. We drove though there when I was a teenager, in 1963. This video brought back great memories.
Frank Williams Wow what great memories traveling in the 60’s. I can’t even imagine how empty & uncrowded some places must’ve been!!
Só Jesus Cristo e o senhor o resto é resto
Well done! You captured the free spirit of American Southwest 👍👍👍💟
What a wonderful journey, thank you!
What a beautiful sky! It's like a driving under the sea. Driving endless road with country music make my soul better-!
Absolutely magnificent! Australia.
🤦
My wife and I traveled from the south to the north in 2016 and I remember the many stops we made that was shown in this film. Thanks!!
I've spent about a week to watched the whole series Grand Circle Tour. Thanks for this amazing clip. Just like have a trip with you. Thanks a lot!
Really enjoyed the ride. Protect these sceneries as its all national treasure.
Excellent looking video and an absolutely amazing ride. The scenery was breathtaking and amazing. Loved it .The music was great too. Thanx for posting this.
I remember when the admission to Monument Valley Tribal Park was only $5, and that wasn't even 10 years ago. I've been many times since. The road to it has something magical about it. And this was a great video with awesome fitting music.
how about the road condition : is it easy to drive ? many hight hills, many passes ? please let me know. I would like to take the trip but still scare about the dangerous of moutain driving . Thank you !
Well done ! A great place to finish !! - the Southwest is just a fabulous part of your country and can't wait to go back another time. Really enjoyed your whole tour - good job :-) !
I'm not traveling anymore... but have been here many times over the decades. Thank you for taking me home through your wonderful video!
I just finished watching the entire series. Thank you very much! I am going there soon.
All good things must come to an end, and this is an outstanding way to end this outstanding series. Yes, I definitely had a great time exploring the usa southwest! Thank you!
Beautiful scenery and great song choice!
Wow, once again amazing job. I truly believe you are one of, if not the, most talented road videographer(s) out there. Your content is always excellently produced, with a very distinct niche to boot!
Thanks you very much! Your videos are also excellently, and may I add *elegantly*, produced, JD!
Much "THANKS" to the author of this amazing video incl wonderful music!!! Now I am retired and planning to go these route in this year 2019.
Just wow. Such an amazing journey! Beautifully filmed.♥
I personally traveled this road 8/11/2017 on my way to and back from Colorado, I seen it before but I wanted to see it again one Last time before I died because there's no other place like it in the world. It truly is a record and testament of time.
Thanks for taking the time to make this, new ideas for me!
Amazing place. Was there last year. Feel like going back again! I was also in valley of the gods. Amazing place
This summer I'm going to arches, Canyonlands, and dead horse point in Utah. Can't wait.
1,000 miles from nowhere sounds good. I have travelled this road. At night there are more star's than black sky, and not a sound except for the wind. A moonlit nite is something i will never forget. Peace awaits.
Yes, had a very great time, thank you so much. :) Nicely done.
What a beautiful drive. I love it so much. Thank you! : )
Amazing video!! Thank you so much. If I did not have a mortgage and other bills, I would leave my job right NOW and head down 163-South. And, the music was perfect for this video. Again, thank you from one fellow traveler to obviously another.
Chelle P. I think we all would. We work all of our youth away for the mighty dollar.
My family and i enjoyed this ride a lot. Thank you!
I cannot wait to return next year, truly magnificent
Your videos are awesome and they inspired me to take a road trip through the country. I've watched all the videos and yours tips about "Grand circle tour I-II" were very importants for the sucess of my trip, so I just can say: thank you!! Greetings from Brazil!
Wow, Monument Valley looks spectacular! I hope one day we will be fortunate enough to visit. Great video. Thanks for sharing!
I love this! We used to live by Farmington, NM and would take this road every now and then. Your video brought back some good memories. Thanks.
Complety beautiful place i hope coming to United states un 2023 year i love southwest
Amazing video great work a thousend thanks
The "Road to Monument Valley" view has to be my all time favorite view. I've never been out there and I know photos will never do it justice since I've been to the Grand Canyon and no photo is ever as breathtaking as being there in person.
I've been through this area about a dozen times in the past 10 years. I put on my favorite song from driving through 'the 4 corners' area, slowed down the video to .25 and enjoyed the route. The part where you skipped ahead 3 miles, you missed the Mexican Hat and also the turnoff for Natural Bridges National Monument. Before you get to Mexican Hat, there's also a turn off/ off road trail for 'Valley of the Gods' which is just as awesome as Monument Valley with 1/1000th the number of visitors.
Thanks for upload...from locked down Ireland if you ever heard of the place!
Este tema country en alusión al monument Valley es formidable. Se complementa co el paisaje. Siendo monument Valley mi lugar favorito. Maravilloso. Felicitaciones.❤🙂🐅⛰🙋♂️
What a great finish! We've watched every episode and thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Thanks .
Thanks for watching :)
I can't believe people are passing you when you are driving this fast! Seriously though you can just imagine John Wayne riding by the Mitten Buttes in the 1939 classic movie 'Stagecoach.'
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed the people passing. Where are they going in such a hurry?!
Very beautiful presentation. This is a very beautiful drive no matter what time of day or what time of the day.My husband and I have been on this road many times. We have never been tired of making this choice to use this road to get to our destination.Thank you.
Stunning! Thank you for an amazing video.
Thank you so much for uploading this!!! I love it out west. Always wanted to go to monument valley. Hopefully this summer or fall.
The road is calling me, and, the road is where I will live until the end my life! Thank you for this wonderful video; it brought back a lot of memories!
TOTALLY RELAXED! :)
That was absolutely incredible.
Thank you for this amazing ride. I loved it
Was there in 1999, brings me the fond memories of the Godly place and wonderful times. Excellent video. Thanks.
Beautiful, loved the music!
i saw all this as a teen - back then it was great - now Im 51 - and looking back - its epic - ive gotta com
e back
I've watched a lot of road vids. This is top-notch....great job.
Excellent scenery. Nicely captured.
This song misrepresents the many interrelated scenic places in this area! I am not a critic but actually promote this area, having driven & flown commercially across many times! The 4-corners states are all blessed with immense geological variety & unrivaled, fantastic scenery that you will absolutely not believe! Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, & Utah are worthy of your exploration & discovery!
Really enjoyed this video, Thanks for sharing.
Just watched the entire series, Totally amazing, Thx for posting.
Thanks for watching. The American Southwest is quite special, isn't it? :)
Awesome video!💙:)
Liked so much. Thank you for uploading.
Incredible scenery! Love the Southwest. Plan to go in 2021!
That was epic!!! Top notch!!!!
I'm from Scotland/Hong Kong, my fiancé and I recently had a road trip from Phoenix - Sedona - Grand Canyon - Antelope Canyon - Zion - Vegas.
Too bad we didn't have enough to time for Monument Valley.
The US South West really is one of the most astonishingly beautiful and captivating places on Earth. We'll be back for this for sure!
I will be back here again too! This was only my first time here.
Look up Havasu Falls, another treasure of Arizona! I live here and have been four times...come back and see us😊
Good fer yous
Did yous sleep in a Hogan, Teepee?
Alec Tang I’d leave Vegas out & would’ve chose Monument Valley instead!! Hope you get there someday soon
Been trying to persuade my wife to do this trip on our Harley for many years .......thanks to your amazing video, our minds are now made up!! Many thanks !! (from London)
Made this journey September 2017 in a Corvette. Best trip ever! You captured the sights so beautifully!
And was it a convertible Corvette??
Absolutely!
Nice.
Made this just few days ago in Mustang Convertible. What a feeling!
Thanks very much for the tour. My wife and I have been down this highway and we spent two nights at the Gouldin's Lodge taking their tour of the valley. The video is well done and makes me want to return there again.
One of the very best videos I've ever seen!
