100% agree. This is the real meat and potatoes- to watch in real-time and be there when real things happen in the studio. Love how he respects the song and looks for ways he can serve the song, not blast crazy solos that trample her vocals. Learn.
had the pleasure to work with natali a couple years ago - she is insanely talented, crazy good voice and sings every note just perfectly. She also showed some of her music and everything just sounded fat and well thought out. Apart of that she is very humble and nice to be around.
Would like to see the full 5 hour session. Watching Ian do this magic is like going to Disney world for the very first time! Beyond your wildest imagination!
Ian was really good at articulating the purpose of what he did. This made it really easy to learn, not just some "tricks", but the mentality and objectives behind it. Great stuff! Way to may production videos just show of neat tricks, but then don't really help you get a clear picture of what purpose those tricks do to the track, and what purpose they serve.
The original song idea was good but Kirk took it to a whole other Level, the guys a bit of a genius. On a side note good to see Ryan, He been missing a while, yesterday I asked Chris Reed "where's Ryan?" Then next day here He is.
This was a really cool and fun video to watch. I think descriptor "producer" has sort of just shifted into meaning "writer/creator" and this really highlights an additional capability of producers that gets ignored by a lot of people. Would love to see more of this kind of stuff.
The dude is a genius. Before the very end, the ideas weren't sounding finished, but the real end mix is dope. I wonder how many more hours it took apart from those 5. I think around 5 more hours on top to tidy things up. But the end result is awesome! And it's cool that he shares his knowledge! He made a long way and it would be pitty to not leave his experience for younger generations
That's the best audiop*rn I've watched in a long time and been listening to at the same time. 🙂👍Great stuff. Thanks for sharing with us. And thanks to Natali Noor and Ian Kirk Patrick.
I can only remember one or two occasions when I commited to changes as fluidly as shown here, yet when I'm critiquing other songs i seem to catalogue a list of things to change after just a couple of takes, such is the power of a fresh perspective.
The video would of been made before this music released. They publish the video once the song is protected and registered on Ascap or where ever. With that its probably set for release very soon.
@@HOLLASOUNDS They could simply hold the video back until the release date of the single. Now Natali loses some momentum when people cannot find the song.
@@arnovveiss Thats not how it works, there was one video on this channel that was playing a Jess Glynne production but didn't say her name. The video was should the song being made and they said "This is for a female artist Im producing this song for" anyway that video came out months after the song had been a big success, it was all over the radio, so obviously is not as simple as You describe, theres agreements legal restrictions and so on, and every artist is different.
I'm a BIG fan, just great productions that are not overproduced! What keyboard are you using for typing and commands? What acoustic room treatment do you recommend for small rooms? My studio is about 2 meters wide and 2.8 meter deep.
I can see that Ian is drawn to the song in the first 20 seconds. He wonders why didn't I think of that or something... Natali gained a fan, nice to see Ian... BtW, Ian is great. You don't have to like his style, but he's great.
What a fantastic video. Thanks so much Reasonstudios, so many great new perspectives to a song which to my ears already sounds perfect. Is this the reintroduction of Allihoopa? Pleeaaze! I think the audience is ready for it.
This was really cool to watch. Got hyped by the song and the energy in both rooms. Having the honor to be a fly on the wall in this moment. What a 🤯 great content. Beautiful to see a gift being delivered.
He elevated the flow and brought her voice out as the main focus. As an artist/producer I put in so much - you gotta know where to trim the fat/noise and stay true the embodiment of the song.
man i had no idea how crazy good reason has gotten since 5. that spectral synth and objekt. even europa. crazy. always loved their effects as well. reason isnt popular enough
I think you meant to say „up and coming artist“. An „upcoming artist“ is an artist that‘s not an artist yet… I‘m sure she wouldn‘t be too happy about being called that.
More of this pls. There is something awe inspiring about watching the process of a top producer taking a concept from RAW stems to final product. The internet was made for moments like this. Wouldn't have access to this type of knowledge for free years ago.
Quite impressive. Love how he gets from his head into executed ideas quickly. and how he kinda "paints the timeline" in a producer type of way. Good stuff.
One of the best videos I've seen on the channel. I would also like to take this opportunity to say that it would be good to communicate again about what Reason studio is working on and what to expect soon, get back to the roadmap. Thanks
MORE OF THIS....PLEASE!!!!
Yes, this could be a great web series.
100% agree. This is the real meat and potatoes- to watch in real-time and be there when real things happen in the studio. Love how he respects the song and looks for ways he can serve the song, not blast crazy solos that trample her vocals. Learn.
Ian Kirkpatrick is dope! He actually understands the power of Reason and the endless possibilities. It's so fun to use.
He made this tune a potential Hit record, i want to buy it.
Reason was my first daw. I should use it again.
trying to cover the fact he's using cubase LOL!!
Thanks for continuing to release this extremely high quality content. It's actually a shame how slept on this whole channel is.
This is a really good song, very catchy, wouldn't be surprised if the Kirk version became a hit record, its dope.
I love Ian's enthusiasm, especially when he discovers something cool.
He thrives off of the input of the artist, what He did here is what He did with Dua Lipa.
”Am I serving the song? […] It takes a decade of overproducing.”
Love that mindset!
Dope! Extremely valuable to seeing Ian and his process! Thanks for sharing! And love Natalis voice also!
thank you

oh yeah this is gas. Ian went crazy as always and the song started off in a great place!
also, wish more brands would let people just go "OO FUCK ME" in the middle of their videos. hahaha absolutely love the Reason team
Austin my MAN! Love what you do
Would like to see the full 5 hour session. Watching Ian do this magic is like going to Disney world for the very first time! Beyond your wildest imagination!
me toooo!! pure magic🎹🎧
I’m way too emotional seeing Ian in a RUclips video again 🥲 miss his streams so much! Such a genuine humble awesome guy
Did he stop streaming

@@natalinoorofficial Still got the song in My head.
Ian's enthusiasm is contagious. Salute to the person that edited this video!

The tune bangs, I love it.
This is amazing. Seeing how he gets the ideas from his head into the DAW in such an effortless way. It's like watching a sculptor at work.
I was just watching Ian's old twitch stream videos! Hoping for more Ian content this year! 🙏
Dope Sick. Ian just took it to the next level.
Please releaaaaaase this now!!!!
working on it asap
U gotta catchy song....good stuff 2/21/24@@natalinoorofficial
This is one of the coolest ideas for a video you guys have have had. Well done on this one RS
Song sounds huge. Great work! Love how the beat complements the wonderful vocals.
thank you

Pure class from both Natali and Ian. Thank you for sharing your wisdom 💗
thank you so much
Ian's reaction to Parsec was quite entertaining. Wait until you discover the vocoder section! I was in a band and used it live and it's amazing.
This is why IAN is not streaming. Come back Ian I miss you.
That's the best audiop*rn I've watched in a long time and been listening to at the same time. 🙂👍Great stuff. Thanks for sharing with us. And thanks to Natali Noor and Ian Kirk Patrick.
thank you for watching and listening
Next time you make a vid like this put a synth pack on reason companion of all the synths used in the vid .... that would be sick !!!!

More content like this please! Awesome video. Love watching Ian produce
this ish corny..how you gone have them working on music on Reason platform and not use Reason DAW🤔🤨😔🙄
they are using reason if you didn,t see clearly to make sounds
@@billysanchez-eh6nn read my key words again
the reason DAW is no longer their only product, they make money on the plugin too. who cares.
This is one of my favorite producers!! I absolutely love his ear for what sounds good!!! So dope!!
Fantastic video. Had no idea Reason was this powerful. Ian’s explanation of his thought process is priceless.
Ian Kirkpatrick is dope! He actually understands the power of CUBASE Pro and the endless possibilities.
I started using the BV-512 Vocoder EQ thanks to Lucky Date back in like 2012. Game changer!
Must say i give you guys a hard time but this right here is 10/10 content
Seriously where does Reason Studios find all these singers with that flexibility in their vocals?
reason is the best 🖤
Ian Best producer ever.
What is Reason Studios becoming? The Vice of music production? I thought you guys made music software!
This is a fantastic content! Thx for making this. If possible could you upload the video in stereo the next time? Thx
Ian is ridiculous woooow!! Really top 3 in pop music with Max Martin and Ryan Tedder!
I already love this format!!! Please make more!!!
I'm a BIG fan, just great productions that are not overproduced! What keyboard are you using for typing and commands? What acoustic room treatment do you recommend for small rooms? My studio is about 2 meters wide and 2.8 meter deep.
What's a good alternative, for other DAWs, for that vocoder he used on the kick?
according to the high maintenance with the export of 44,5 kHZ ,,,, I would argue that there is no promise to the sound :)
this video does an incredible job of capturing the creative process. super inspiring

Love how fast you work to capture the Idea's so smoothly 🎉
Finally !!!
I witness someone else naming their presets as they should be

what a helpful and insightful video!!!

thank you
Anyone that knows where I can download any "croup" sample pack? 25:33
On my 6th time watching this. It's so great!
For me the Synth Hi Hat sounds too much like a click track that someone forget to delete... but the idea can be great for sure!
This was really cool to watch. Got hyped by the song and the energy in both rooms. Having the honor to be a fly on the wall in this moment. What a 🤯 great content. Beautiful to see a gift being delivered.
thank you so much
She looks back at her original song compared to the reason one and she's like omg it's total crap.
fantastic vid and also really good promo for reason
I loved what he did but the old basssound was cooler. 👌
bass reminds me of no flex by tiny meat gang both are cool.
Sooooooooo many gems in this vid! Great job RS!
Why you guys made this video all Mono...
Ian is a genius
He elevated the flow and brought her voice out as the main focus. As an artist/producer I put in so much - you gotta know where to trim the fat/noise and stay true the embodiment of the song.
Its a tune.
ah... great daw! Cubase = best daw. no doubt.
Dope track Natali very cool! greetz from amsterdam
thank you
Best part Natali pretending its all live 1 on 1
What a fun video idea! And Ian is great!
Reason and Cubase is my all-time favorite combination, it is how I started 15 years ago and how I still go
man i had no idea how crazy good reason has gotten since 5. that spectral synth and objekt. even europa. crazy. always loved their effects as well. reason isnt popular enough
I hate Ian, but I love his craft too. haha
The Best Reason Video By Far.........
her bass was better in my opinion...
These are the sounds we want to hear for reason
we all need ArpShit in out lives
Agreed on collaborating and working with others. Sadly it is very hard to get people to work together for something that wasn't there before.
:-)
This reminds me so much of the old FutureMusic/ComputerMusic long-form producer process breakdown videos. Looove this and more please!
I think you meant to say „up and coming artist“. An „upcoming artist“ is an artist that‘s not an artist yet… I‘m sure she wouldn‘t be too happy about being called that.
the remake version, honestly from listeners stand point, he made nice clean vocals, but killed the original bass, kick and overall energy!!
Why is Ian's final song in mono?
this so awesome get him more i love ian kirkpatrick and such a goofy surname

Ian is such a fun person, I watched him stream a lot during corona, and he is super funny. And everything he did was super inspiring and interesting.
Quite impressive. Love how he gets from his head into executed ideas quickly. and how he kinda "paints the timeline" in a producer type of way. Good stuff.
This is making me want to go back to create inside Reason. Only really touching along for a minute.
He was zoning
One of the best videos I've seen on the channel.

Love this format! As an EDM producer, I'd love it for EDM too
I want that bass preset !!!
That was truly fun to watch - that is the fun and joy of producing music perfectly incapsulated.
I agree that the old vocoder in EQ mode is fantastic.
Not my style of music, but great inspirational video nonetheless ! More like this please :)
best format so ffar on the internet! IAN always a great inspiration! THANKS!!
This is a great video. Hearing the thought process is gold.
My respect points for Ian, just went up!! Mmm Hmmm
Such a great video idea. Ian’s the perfect producer for this. Genius and entertaining to watch
Does anyone know of any Spiff alternatives? A bit pricey for me atm but seems nice.
Need Song
This was fantastic makes sense that fresh ears and experience would detect some of the clutter masking the lead vocals and giving it room to breath.
I could watch this for days...Love it!
