    That 80% vs 85% mod video would be awesome, I'm saving up for a 31.5 right now and that's one of the things I cant decide on

      I go higher letoff for hunting bows. It's a lot easier if you need to hold at full draw for a long time. Went with 85% on my vxr28 and can group pretty well out to 85 yards for my standards. If you're using a handheld release and are concerned about loop torque with high letoff, just use bcy #23 and make your loop a tad longer. Purposely twisted my release while shooting out at 85 yards and my group only moved like an inch right

    Just an FYI
    You can get more vertical and horizontal adjustment on the Hamskea by removing the lock down screws. There are 3 little holes for the micro adjust nipple hidden under the bracket for both vertical and horizontal. When you remove the lock down screws you can pull the bracket off and move the micro adjust nipple to a different hole.
    Good job on the video! Keep up the good work!

    congrats Chris, keep up the good work. I come with just a question: the D-loop position on the main string should not be right in the middle between the two cams, perfect in the middle of the string??? when you shoot and it is not perfectly aligned in the middle, does not pushes up or down the arrow at release?

    @Chris 🐝. I was unable to watch the full video, did you mention what draw weight your shooting? I’m curious, did you find the VXR stiff? I went to the VXR 31.5 from a Vertix and was actually unable to pull the VXR at 73 pounds. On the Vertix however, I shot 73 with no problem. It felt like the VXR was very stiff up front. Smooth, but a consistent stiff draw. Be curious to hear your thoughts.

      Best thing to do on mathews with left/right tears is to adjust the top hats which moves the cams. You want to follow the tear, left tear, move cam to the left and visa versa. This keeps center shot at 13/16th.

  • @josephpapale7087
    @josephpapale7087 3 года назад

    Hey Chris hope all is well. I have a question on D loop and setting up. The bow your setting up is the Mathews 31.5 inch draw. Your installing a D loop which will increase your draw to at least 1/2", and I noticed you made the D loop a little larger so it might be even more and with the amount of shooting you do it is going to stretch a little. Then you weighed the bow and it was 79 pounds. I dont care how strong you are unless you intend to make that bow a hunting bow which once its sighted in you shoot a little at a time until hunting season. Me I have a love for mathews bows, I just won't be able to keep it in the case. Now I dont know your intentions for this bow, but if you decide to lower the poundage from that blistering 78lbs to 60 or 65 pounds for a more comfortable weight to shoot, especially for target. Now the problems I see is all these alterations extend your draw length dramatically. I feel threw personal experience even when you use the modules, to shorten the bow back to your draw. I notice the feel of the bow is missing something, like power. To me nothing feels better then a bow peeked to its max weight, their is no reduction or adjustment in weight. It feels like the bow is no longer in the valley of the cams when you pull it back or in the power stroke at full draw. Not to mention throwing the timing off. Every inch you loose is 10 feet per second. Here's the question? Is it better to buy a shorter bow to avoid the alterations and no change in fit. My biggest concern is the timing. Or am I not making sense. I think it is a legitimate problem. Thanks for reading.
