I watched another video where Chris was showing how to properly draw back a bow with the draw arm elbow raised. I tried it and after 47 years of bowhunting (drawing the wrong way) I could not believe how easy it was on my shoulder. Thank you Chris!
Being an Archery coach for 120 or so kids you don’t know how many times I’ve had same discussion about drawing the bow, now I’m far from a professional I’m a volunteer coach , form is everything even in nasp shooting fingers , great video, I shoot a Mathew’s hyper lite 2005 model I think , last bow I bought was a helium , I sold it liked the hyper lite better …. Keep making memories
Awesome video as always, beauty of a bow set up. I think i injured my shoulder watching Yappy draw though. A real honor having George there and break down the mechanics. I've been only shooting for 1 year but thanks to people like George and you Chris. I've been able to start with better habits.
That instruction by George at the end is Money! Glad you asked him that question. I tend to drop my front arm too soon also, my broadheads sure like to tell me about it.
I’m picking up my V3X 33 next week, I wish I could have you set it up. I don’t see many shops around here go through this much precise details setting them up like you do!
Awesome! I love to see two of my favorite RUclipsrs linked up! I'm jealous of the v3x. I just got a v3 27 with a 30 inch draw... yeah I wish they had told me to get a longer bow like the 33 v3x.
My custom v3x 29 came in. I got it in granite wt red and black strings. Hamskea epsilon rest. Spot Hogg fast Eddie xl double pin sight. Conquest control freak pro stabilizers wt the smacwrap tech a 10 inch in the front and back bar wt a 8 inch. It drives tacs
Chris, coming to Quebec Canada sometime soon. I love you videos ans learn a lot. Wish I could get a bow like that. New in shooting a bow since summer 2021, but not had much time to practice in 2022. Aiming on going bow hunting in 2023.
Im late to the party. But great videos and content. Lots of information. So glad you go deep in detail on all of your videos!!!! Would love to be able to meet you the next time you come to Atlanta! Im not far from there. Keep up the great work Chris!
At my local archery range every time I see somebody draw the bow back the wrong way I always make it a point to go teach them the right way to do it. I was one of those people that did it the wrong way for a while and Got some coaching and it really made a difference
Chrisbee! Maybe you, GRIV, Kolby, Yappy and Jiggin with Jordan collab video on a bow fishing trip?!?! Or, maybe a trip in Jordan’s Mini Sub?!?! 🫵🏼😎👍🏼 BeeReal, Yappy and Jiggin!
Cool vlog Chris and I hope that your friend enjoys his new bow it looks nice. Now all he needs is to learn how to draw and anchor the bow and not put his release and he will be almost as good as you!!!
If you don't know what I mean, 1 or 2 years ago Chris made a video that's about different mistakes and how to fix them. So basically he was talking about the same thing in that video in this video at 15:00. Hope this helped!
i love watching your bow build and your video last year i went got a cheap compound bow but after practiceing with it i just do have the faith in it yet im hopeing to get better b/c id liek to get a mathews some day
I would love to have someone like Chris available to run through a setup with me. I feel like at my local archery store their not as passionate at all.
Man I wish you could look over and check the set up on my new phase 4 33 I live in southern Indiana I was told it was paper tuned and i don’t think my axis was leveled on my site I absolutely love the bow but wish I had someone like you who knows Mathew’s in and out to look at it
LOL.. It's all fun and games till someone looses an eye.. I lost my left eye 28 years ago.. Played ice hockey, baseball, martial arts, ride my motorcycles , carpenter, hunt, Archery hunt, metal fab, etc.. you learn to deal with it , die.. how much is it worth? Priceless
start with minimal poundage people!! that's how you learn proper technique. then practice a ton.. then when you get better mechanics you go up to 60,65,70,75 lbs
Nice bow build. But the draw movement needs to be improved as should be the release. I find that he is punching the trigger quite hard with his finger nearly straight...
The giveaway isn’t over tell sometime in September. He’s probably just doing this cause he’s a good guy. Only know this cause I bought a hat for the giveaway😂
Chris I just got into archery 10 months ago... I have no friends that hunt and I want to go hunting with someone that can teach me some things.. take me out sometime?
V3x will still be a solid bow next year. Wait till the new ones come out and get the v3x discounted. Go to a dealer and test fire one. Some like the pull better on the v3 then the v3x.
I want to buy a new bow but my current draw weight on my Mathews mission craze is around 40 or like 45 pounds. I want to buy a v3 from Mathews but I will have to wait 1-2 years to get stronger to be able to pull back the 60 pounds. That the v3 comes in. Are all Mathews bows for hunting in the 60 pound starting for draw weight?
You could definitely get the draw weight down to at least 55lb on a v3, maybe a little lower. Get it with 60lb mods and back the limb bolts off a couple or three turns. You may be able to even get it down close to 50lb draw weight. Practice every day, draw your bow right and increase the poundage a pound or two at a time and you’ll get there. Keep it up!
As someone who can only see out of my left eye, I wish I was paid for not having the other. Instead it doesn’t qualify as a disability but just shoot everything left handed.
George giving that lesson was awesome! Should get him in another video if he’s got the time. Great teachers are a treasure. Lfg George!
Great video.
It’s always crazy to watch how easy Chris draws.
That draw and punch are hard to watch 😂😂😂. So fun to watch 2 different creators that I enjoy from 2 different worlds collab.
Chris, might be time to teach Yappy how to draw back a bow 😂
I'm looking forward to the nose ring fail.
Tell me you didn’t watch the whole video without telling me.
Yes need help with technique
@@alexbetts452 I commented right when he first drew it back - didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to comment until I watched the entire thing 🤡
@@Yappy just get some reps in with the poundage turned down and you’ll be good, protect that shoulder health!
Dude got hooked up! A Bee Bow Build and a lesson from GRIV. CONGRATULATIONS!
George explaining the why and how of the draw was new and very useful. Good video.
Imagine having Chris set up your bow 😱

Always loving the content! Pumped for the 2022 Michigan Bow season to start. Got a few good bucks showing up consistently this year.
Good lessons in this video from 2 greats on drawing a bow
Top notch explanation of how to draw and all the angles. I've recently changed to the over the top draw and man that was a really great explanation.
That instruction by George at the end is Money! Glad you asked him that question. I tend to drop my front arm too soon also, my broadheads sure like to tell me about it.
Absolutely love the lessons learned I’ll have to try drawing back like that from now on
17:22 that is actually the best way I’ve ever heard this explained.
I’m picking up my V3X 33 next week, I wish I could have you set it up. I don’t see many shops around here go through this much precise details setting them up like you do!
Great video Chris! Can't wait for bow season to start here in 30 days!
That's so awesome to build a bow for a friend. We need more people like you in the world! Archery God!

Cool vlog Chris and I hope that your friend enjoys his new bow it looks nice. Now all he needs is to learn how to draw and anchor the bow and not put his release and he will be almost as good as you!!!
Muscle ligament expert guy is back!!!
