Nathan Salsburg is one of the greatest contemporary guitarists active today. I only just learned that he is the primary collaborator of Joan Shelley and seemingly always performs with her live. Incredible!
I had the pleasure of hearing/meeting Joan and Nathan last night at The Ark in Ann Arbor. What an unforgettable performance from a pair of humble and friendly people! Great recording here as well! Thanks, as always - KEXP!
Lovely - at times, mesmerising - thank you very much... beautiful singing, excellent guitar (& impressive recording). I hope they come to the UK before too long.
What a remarkable voice ! I woke up this morning with her interviewed on NPR's "Weekend Edition." Instant fan ! She's like Judy Collins with better songs.
I'm new to Joan Shelley but am loving her voice and music as a fan of Fairport Convention and early Joni Mitchell. Meanwhile, I can't get over how much Salsberg resembles Mark Lanegan, if he had stayed away from drugs and booze and maybe gone to a few yoga classes or something.

Wonderful... Where I'll Find You is just gorgeous. I hope Joan makes it over to the UK again soon...
If you ever get a chance to see Joan and Nathan live- do it. They are amazing musicians, humble and gracious humans. Great music..
Tammy De Leeuw she’s opening for Richard Thompson in October in my city. The only issue is that I don’t know anyone who might want to go with me

This is incredible. It's Janschesque but it's its own thing too. Blown away by this and would love to hear more of this kind of music. Thanks KEXP
Such an underrated singer-songwriter.
This is what you call folk music!

Gostei. Joan tem uma bela voz, suave e firme, ótima pra musica country romantica.
i think this music is considered more in the "folk" tradition, especially when they recounted their influences.
