Bro the gan 12 is an amazing release you can’t just clickbait because of your personal opinion also tymon uses the 12 because the 14 maglev pro is too fast and it doesn’t fit his turning style. Matty on the other side has a turning style that fit the gan 14 maglev pro so not all the gan sponsored people are using the 12

The 13, 14 and 14 pro are almost the same, the 12 is the best in my opinion, more inexpensive and very good, so good that so much world record has been broken

@@JohnAJ-07it was literally for a month. I have the 12 it catches but it has literally has the highest tps potential insane self alignment and almost everyone uses it.

Nah most top cubers use the 12 it’s perfectly fine I think there might’ve been a few issues with the first few batches but now it’s definitely the best gan 3x3
A lot of my cuber friends got the gan 13 when it released. They said it was good but then they realized the other brands like dayan are much cheaper and still really goood lol

I think gan will make a comeback considering the gan 5x5 and the gan mega v2 (revealed after the gan 14) are being considered “best in the market” so i think there mightve been a regime change in the qc department or something.. i think the gan 15 *might* make a comeback in the 3x3 category as well (keyword *might* as i prefer moyu over gan any day)

I literally just ordered the gan 11 m pro being new to solving these cubes, I’ve been using a cheap 3x3 nexcube, any suggestions for future 3x3 cubes for me to try out?
Should I buy moyu weilong wr m v10 classic or moyu rs3m v5 maglev?
I have both the Gan 12 Leap and Maglev, but there's nothing compelling me to even look at the 14.

I've been using Tornado v3 and I think that nobody can build a better cube, EVER. But, wanted to try Tymon's, so I will give it a chance 😅

The newer gan releases are great I tried the gan 11, 12, 13 and they are all great especially the 13 and I don't have the 14 and 14 pro yet but I heard the normal 14 has a popping problem so that one might be bad but I think I will like the 14 pro because I like really fast cubes with strong magnets like the 13
I’m my opinion, the 14 pro is way better than the regular because they reduced popping but it’s more expensive. Oh and you need a tool to get the centre cap out. I recommend sticking with your current cubes.
My hope for gan is that the huge competition lately forces them to either a. make better budget and mid-range cubes, b. vastly improve on their innovation for 3x3, or c. do what they did with 3x3 before with other events. all 3 are quite good for us consumers, so i wouldn't worry

The Gan 11 Pro Seems like a good option for me. Next weekend, I am going to a competition, and hopefully someone lets me try out their 11 Pro
You will most definitely see a Gan 12,13 or 14. 11 M pro is a bit rarer to see but excellent cube. In my opinion, get the 11 unless you want better tensioning and adjustment

I'm not worried about GAN. The 5x5 was highly hyped and received very good reviews. The same is likely to happen with the new 4x4 and the Square-1. It's smart of them to diversify their product line, especially as I don't expect too many groundbreaking new innovations with 3x3s in general at this point. Plus, I assume that the GAN 12 still sells pretty well. It's the total sales that count and not just the sales of one product (and we actually don't have any sales numbers for the GAN 14).
Yeah. Although im unaware of the quality of their 3x3s, they pretty much have enough releases to the point where it would be harder to improve steadily with the new releases and have a major benefit. But there's pretty much nothing really going on in some other wca's, like their megaminx v2 is currently the best by a lot compared to the other options like dayan pro, and from what I can tell there are only a couple relevant square-1s atm, so it would just make sense to make something that would sell and be good quality in that regard. I hope gan would eventually try to be a bit more diverse then wca, but I think going for other categories as simpler major releases would be better then another 3x3..
The last gan I bought was an I carry, and that was because it was a cheap smartcube with an okay-ish app.The last non-smartcube I bought from them was a 356 X. However, other cubing competitors undercut them so much it makes no sense to go into the top-end gan. They have done really bad recently and given all the bad press over their newest cubes and the issues with them, I have been hard pressed to actually purchase a gan. That high price is no longer justified and I hope they will either come out with a new innovation or start competing on a better price.
3:03 the only problem is the core breaks easily and the little pop out handle is hard to access and breaks, otherwise excellent cube. I would prefer Moyu weilong v10 ball core, as it has very positive reviews. I have mine on back order. Overall excellent video discussing GAN. They really are finished
Yeah, this is something that a lot of people have an issue with. X-Man really need to fix their quality problems.

Well I am glad that they are actually releasing other cubes at the moment, while MoYu release an endless stream of good 3x3s, Gan just released a 5x5 and their 2x2 and skewb are still probably the best on the market
Maybe gan could invest more in lubes. Gan doesn't have that many lubes in the game, and I think that it would be nice to see Gan making better lubes.

I feel as if cubing hardware as a whole has plateaued. We are at the point where our turns cannot be misaligned, we have incredible stability, and speed. I feel that any small improvement form here will be a challenge, and even then, whats the point? We have already got such good cubes, why buy features you don't need? I think once we get to a standard as good as a gan 14 that doesn't pop all the time, we might just stop.

Gan12 is a certified goat, the only cubes that are anywhere near it performance wise (for me of course) are the rs3m v5 and weilong v10. But yes, 13, 14 and 14 pro have all been reasonably weak releases, so I think if either the price doesn't go down or the performance at LEAST equal that of the 12, then yes they shouldn't bother with 3x3s (or spend more than a year actually developing new tech)

I think that GAN will lose the 3x3 market, except for smart cubes.
Re 3x3 they’ve been in the weeds since the Gan 12 I reckon.
Gan has been the only company inovating cubes ( or at least innovations which makes them better) for years now and I think gan will come up with new tech again to make there cubes better and they may consider a lower price range.
I think the 14 was quite good tbh
If Gan are to survive they need to look at diversity in the product range, its ok being a one trick pony but megaminx etc would definitely sell more and so would Gan brand lubes as a few people have said.
The 3x3 market is saturated and the other markets just need the innovation that Gan brings and maybe they could open up new avenues like a Gan square 1 or a Gan Puppet Cube and get more people into the other side of cubing as well. And they need consistent quality control as well
I honestly think they’ll start focusing on non 3x3 puzzles and just make cheaper increments from here on out
I think Gan cubes like the 251 pro are very good and will be still used BUT no new cubes will be used

GAN 15 seriously needs a great ballcore to bring the GAN 3x3 back on the wishlists of cubers. I love the GAN feel and probably my favorite cube is the 12. But I have a WRM v10 coming next week which was described by many as the most GAN feeling cube Moyu has ever made. Also it has very positive feedback. I have an RS3M V5 and surely that cube is perfect apart from it lacks the GAN feel. I also own the Tornado V3 and eventhough it is described as one of the best cubes ever I still prefer the Gan 12 and V5 over it. If the V10 lives up to what the reviews say it will probably be my new favorite unless GAN really comes up with something special in the 15. But even then the price could be a huge drawback. In an ideal world the GAN 15 should be a revamped ball core GAN 12 with the current price of the GAN 12 and probably that cube would literally take over the marked in a blink of an eye.
Gan cubes are just getting worse
GAN 11 M Pro, GAN 12 or GAN 356/354 M are the only good gan cubes left, just buy Tornado V3 Flagship or the MoYu WeiLong v10 or v9. 13 is alright, however 14 is just a complete waste

Personally, I don’t think GAN is failing or declining at all. Even though there 3x3’s haven’t been the best in the past couple of years, the recognition of their brand even outside of cubing is massive. And like you mentioned the release of other events is very well received as the puzzles themselves are performing phenomenally. I think the real question is if cube manufacturers should move away from innovation and focus on performance. As over the years I feel like 3x3’s haven’t really improved since 2018 and just made slight improvements and innovations to accommodate the other features of the puzzles. I think consumers would happily purchase a well performing cube with little to no adjustment features rather than one that overcomplicates their product for the sake of innovation.

i think gan made a really high bar for each of their releases, like way too high
and until 2021 they were consistently getting there, but theres a point where its really tough to keep innovating, and i think they got there now. but they also have some responsibility in their downfall, with the needing to release a second version of the 14, and the second version itself. apart from that, though, they seem to start getting somewhere now. the gan 356 maglev isnt very popular, but its somewhat competitive with other cubes at that price, and its better than other gan releases that are double the price. and ofc we cant ignore the 562 and the maglev mega, both arguably the best, and at kinda fair prices if you ask me
so yeah gan had its downfall but its starting to get back, but maybe not as high as before
Other companies are trying their best on the smart cube market, yet GAN is still the best. Their smart cube are quality based and the app is more convenient than others because the app is suited for global. I think with the smart cubes, GAN still has hope.
