I tried both cubes. V5 is terrible without setup - it's not even possible to perform sexi moves without lockup. On the other hand, the Guhong got terribly scratched with a paper towel when I wiped off that stinking lube they use at the factory... If the Guhong had a UV version, I would prefer it. However, after setting up V5 I was able to become my main one while I wait for the delivery of V10))
I personally like the Guhong a little but more, but I also turn pretty accurately in comparison to most of the people I've met. Tight settings have always been what I opted for to give me the most control I could. The RS3M does feel faster and can be made a looser, but then it becomes hard to turn properly (for me at least). If you want to know which one to buy if you don't already have a cube or don't know your turning style well, I'd say go for the RS3M, mostly because you can make it do what you need it to, which is not something you can do as easily with the Guhong.
What a coincidence. I've been using the guhong pro religiously since it came out in my country and i fell absolutelly in love with it. The only thing i didn't like it's that it was too fast. I had it in setting 4 out of 5 with two drops of silk and it stilled doing U4, at last at got used to it and i liked the smoothnes of it. If you keep your mind cold when cubing the guhong will be amazing, but if you get nervous its gonna lock up like crazy. These last two days i've been trying de Moyu RS3M V5 UV and i instantly mained it. Much more controllable, much more stable and slower. So overall a great cube. I feel like the V5 is higher in quality tho, maybe it is because of the UV coating, who knows. Great review!
Love how the music sounds like it would be in one of those "downfall of [RUclipsr name]" but the battle is like that of mrwhosetheboss. All of my favorites into a cubing video. Great job!!
That’s CRAZY you thought the GuHong feels more expensive than the v5, I have two GuHong pros (55mm maglev, 54mm spring) and they are by far the cheapest feeling cubes I’ve owned, especially the spring version. The sound is nice sure, but the plastic feels so non-cohesive, and even on tighter tensions the layers of the cube are unrecognisable to the touch, as the pieces seem to always have a bit of space between them and feel super clacky and breakable to me. Don’t get me wrong, I still actually really like the GuHong for a cube to solve on for fun, but man does it feel (to me) wayyy cheaper than the rs3m v5. The v5 feels just like a less blocky and much lighter ys3m to me, and it does have a high pitch but I don’t mind that really. And since moving from maining moyu cubes to a GAN12, I so much prefer lighter cubes, so love the v5 for that reason too
some people don't know this but the original rs3 2020 feels more solid than the newer batches of 2020's. I bought one in december 2021, then a second one last december as a gift for someone and it feels way cheaper and less blocky, since as far as I can tell it's q different plastic
I have a Guhong, and it corner cuts a lot better than the one in the video. Mine's on setting 3 out of 5, so right in the middle. I suspect you may have tightened yours further because it was turning too fast, so I'd suggest loosening it and adding a bit of thick lube to slow it down. Coming from a RS3M 2020, I think the Guhong is a significant upgrade due to the increased control, probably due to the ballcore. I don't have to slow down my Guhong as much, so it stays easier to turn and is less fatiguing on my fingers. I'm sure the RS3M V5 ballcore is also great, but I haven't tried it.
I love two of these cube, I use guhong for 3x3 and v5 for one handed. Honestly guhong is much smoother than the v5 but the v5 is more flexible than the guhong. Anyway, both of these cube are good 👍
okay i did change my main to the more try v4 NOW SHUT UP I KNOW WHAT UR THINKING just chill although the guhong still holds my pb 6.30 BUTTT i did get a 6.38 so its not that bad
Have you tried these cubes? If so let me know which you think is better!
I have tried the Rs3m v5 and I think that it’s a little bit too fast for my liking
No but hopefully it will help me chose between them. Also, keep up the great work!
Rs3m v5
i would go for a tie

Great review!
Thanks for the comparison. Great video! I have a GuHong Pro 56 Maglev and love it, but would also like to get a RS3M V5.
I love these comparison videos Keep up the amazing content 🎉🎉🎉. I only hve tried the V5 and not the guhong but I heard amazing things about it.
Thank you!
I prefer the RS3M V5. What annoys me most about the Sound is not the pitch, but that the sound sometimes suddenly changes, as if a magnet were loose.
Yeah I have the same thing. It doesn't come anywhere close to the GuHong when it comes to sound but it does perform very well!
As an owner of the guhan pro I love the feel of it I think it's a great cube and I definitely recommend it for the cheap price

This is definitely heavily inspired from mrwhosetheboss! Glad you liked it!
@@UK_CuberI am mrwhosetheminiboss
Fantastic video! I have a rs3m v5 and a friend (who is the fastest person I know) has the GuHong Pro M! Again great video!
I have the Guhong Pro and I like it a lot and it has a glossy finish on it but not as shiny and bright as a UV coated one.
Bro your thumbnails are just too good lol
Thank you so much!

That's interesting. I do definitely think that the plastic feels incredibly cheap however I don't think the RS3M V5 is too much better.
Excellent quality video! The blocky feel of the RS3M series is like scraping fingernails on a chalkboard.
@voltgmd If you enjoy that sort of thing, it's good, but I'm not a big fan of it. :)
That's an interesting analogy... and now I can't un-think that!

Hi bro should i get tornado v3 Standard or Dayan Guhong Pro M (Maglev version) i actually need a cube which requires less lube like for 3-4 months
Less lube than probably the guhong. The factory settings in that cube is super nice already. It also comes pre lubes.
@@redpanda7256the Guhong pro is the most lubed cube out of the box i've ever bought. I had to wipe it a few times with rubbing alcohol.
@@redpanda7256 Alr I get the Guhong
@@balusters Yea, wiping it off will do.

2:10 that weird most would agree that the Rs3m's magnets are weaker than the Guhong
The RS3M V5 has great corner cutting, you used just a tight setting 😅
Great video, have you tried learning 2 sided pll recognition, i think it would make your solves a lot faster
does the 54mm spring version also have a ballcore

underrated youtuber
Is there a way of guesstimating cube size by measuring hands?
No, small kids use the same size as big adults so it's more a case of preference
So close again!
The robot is a nice case tho if you like hard cases
Bro i m from India suggest me some good lubricant for rs3m v5 maglev
Can you plss do qiyi m pro uv ball core vs rs3m v5 uv ball core... Its a request plss make s video on this topic
we really need guhong vs tv3 flag video
for me? a TIE!
I can understand that! They are both really good
now rS 3 mv5 versus tornado V3 flagship
Maybe in the future!
@@UK_Cuber just tell me in the comments
@@UK_Cuber an infinite chain of cube vs cube comparisons starts forming...
I would say v5 is the best value and guhong is second.
Can't believe niether one comes with a cube watch smh
incredibly disappointing!
okay i did change my main to the more try v4 NOW SHUT UP I KNOW WHAT UR THINKING just chill although the guhong still holds my pb 6.30 BUTTT i did get a 6.38 so its not that bad
Wow, that's an interesting choice. Not sure it's one I'd make but you do you I guess!
haha you said it supposidly speads lube lol
I have try the rs3m v5 with ballcore
What did you think of it?
Guhong is better for oh because of the size
Nope, v5 is widely regarded as the best oh cube, with guhong as a close seconr
Do a review for wrm v10
I will if/when I get it!
Guhong is super op 😎😎😎
nice
i prefer the guhong
That's fair enough, it's a great cube!
finally!
Haha, hopefully you found it useful!
@@UK_Cubermaybe because of the size 54mm I’m gonna go with it
I prefer tv3
i love your vids😁😁
