Well, you may look at the YS3 as an improved RS3 so if you know how the RS3 is then you may rely on the YS3 as it is amazing too, just more controllable than the WRM v9

@@EternalXGgan 13, I have a tornado, the core broke its not very strong and the magnets can get pushed inside the core by accident and you have to pull the corner apart to get ‘em out, so get the gan 13

i feel like moyu spring and screw adjustment is perfectly fine, because it’s simple and it’s what some people are more used too
Screw adjustment is not right since there are no clicks or numbers, u Can get some different screw height on each face of the cube
the screw is fine, but not when they increased the price by 2x the weilong released before it
If it's perfect out the box, who cares about the adjustability. I've got a Tornado V3 and nothing I can do to it can bring it close the the perfection of the WRM v9 straight out the box.

4:07 Hmm. I would like to know people’s thoughts on this. I don’t see this as a disappointment, I actually really like what MoYu is doing with the tensioning. If you buy a MoYu cube once, and then later buy another, then you know how to tension it already. Plus, I don’t see why a screwdriver is so bad. All the other brands just use a glorified version of one. And in this cube, the tools don’t break easily, and are very straight forward.
For those who didn’t see a preview for the GAN 13 before it came out and you bought it, how long did it take you to find the adjustment tool? Furthermore, while one of the tensioning tools IS plastic, it isn’t used a lot in easily-breakable situations, meanwhile the tornado has a thin plastic stick that is in a very high-break risk scenario. And GAN, although fixing their ways with GAN 13, has used mostly very confusing plastic tools to tension their cubes. And also, the GAN cubes have all had a different way to tension it, making it confusing for people unused to the brand.
I would love to hear everyone’s opinion on this. I really think that this is the polar opposite of a disappointment, but I will keep an open mind, and will try to hear you out.

The screw of the moyu cubes rust over time. I have used lots of moyu cubes. and thats a problem.
@@ayashaadnan2035 would that be the case only if you generally use water based lube. If you use silicon based lube i don't think they would rust easily and well even stainless steel rust and all the cubes even gan and tornado do have screws it's just that the way of adjustment is easier in one or the other and rust is a risk in every cube
Great review Milan! it's so cool to see so many competitive flagship cubes out now. And even better, people can go with the V3 Flagship which is even cheaper and not as fast because it has springs. I absolutely love that puzzle.

If I'm being honest, I actually like the direction MoYu are going with their cubes, I do not think removing magnet adjustment is a bad thing as most cubes (minus the GAN 13 and the 12 to a lesser extent) haven't really nailed the execution and they end up changing on their own and just have more crevices for dirt and lube to build up. I also think that MoYu haven't done anything wrong keeping the old adjustment system as I think it is solid and probably the best out there other than the tornado. The only thing I wish they would do is provide non maglev models with core magnets as they would sell much more than the just maglev variants and would probably be most cubers preferred option.
Yeah, it's silly to complain about the adjustment system being "old". All that matters is if it's easy to use and if it works well. And the answer is yes to both of those. I personally think it's the best adjustment system, partly because it doesn't rely on numbers I can't see or other indicators that I just can't see.
@@CoachTabe the reason everyone is hating on it is because it’s harder to have even tensions. So if you make a mistake on one side you have to redo the rest

I have to say you something, if you want to be National record holder on some avg or even top cuber, you need to put time on cubing not on sim racing, i see that fannatec logo on Macbook. What simulator are you on? I play acc and F1 22
Hi, nice comparison. So far I've been using the Tornado V3 as my main cube. Although I have to admit that I'm not really a speedcuber, I use the cube more to concentrate, switch off and calm down. Stress relief. 30 seconds is enough for me. I use Roux because it's almost completely intuitive. Still, I try not to be too slow. And that's where my problem with the UV coating on the Moyu comes in. It's much too slippery for me. I know this from the GAN, where the UV lacquer is really sticky. Is it just me? The V9 is slippery :-(. The times are not good when you're running after the cube...

i havent tried a single gan cube and im ordering an x v2 but in my opinion any 356 or 354 gan cube is way cheaper and does just as good as the newer gans

moyu v5 is just a moyu v9 like but the v5 has a robot so the v5 has more featuresthan the v9 so the v5 is better so tho v5 and the v5 are the same but the v5 has 1 more feature.

Out of the three, the V9 feels amazing, I’m on the slower end at sub 30 so i love it but I could see it being less reliable if you’re a sub 10 solver. it’s auto turn is slightly better than the gan 13. UV coatings are super similar.
I main the tornado v3, but my favorite of the three is the V9
Im like sub 12 and In my opinion it has LEGIT NO PROBLEMS if you lube it with weight 5 and angstrom dignitas corner twists are rare for me but i think if luke garret doesnt get twist its fine

I'd say the reason moyu has not been changing their dual adjustment system is because they just can't find an idea for a better one and are afriad if they make a new system and the cubers don't like the new system. U know if something is good just stick with it type thing.

my current main is the gan 11 m pro. my previous main was the tornado v3. the tornado v3 is much simpler to change the settings, but the out the box experience was very bad to me. sandy, lighting fast, corner cutting felt bad. after changing the settings and adding lube( martian and nebula at speedcubeshop ), it instanstly felt much, much better. the out the box experience for the gan was much better, but changing the settings, specifically taking out the center caps, was much more difficult. overall, both cubes are amazing, but the gan felt a little more satisfying to turn.

My favorite is Tv3 flagship version I don't really recommend the pioneer version cus it's to fast v9 is also smooth good but out of the box it's really easy to get a corner twist,Gan 13 is also good the premium feeling is just really phenomenal but performance and price wise it's like under the Tv3 I will really pick Tv3 over it.

I have had the Tornado for a bit, and just bought the Wrm v9. I'm just commenting to say that we never talk about build quality on these videos.
The Tornado is a fantatic cube and I lovebit but it's build quality is CRAP. Mine arrived with a corner magnet missing. It was in the corner, but not in place, meaning I had to take it to bits and refit the magnet. Crap. Also It kept popping out so I had to glue it in place. Crap. Then when i was taking it to pieces to lubebit, an edge piece just collapsed in my hand. I broke the bloody thing trying to put it back together because, you guessed it, the build quality is crap. Its now glued.
The Wrm v9 is my second Moyu cube and the ly make great cubes. They feel solid, unlike my Tornado which feels like it could break any second.
Another problem with the Tornado is the magnet adjustment system seems to reset itself for fun.
Sure the dual adjustment system in the Tornado is nice, but how many times do you set it? Once or twice. Once it's set to your preference its set isn't it?
So, imho the Tornado is nice, but it's build quality is crap and the fancy adjustments arent all that needed. Get a Wrm if you're atuck between the two.
Honestly I have zero problems with the moyu dual adjustment system. Screwdriver takes almost no space in my everyday carry, I throw the compression tool in my cube bag, and to be quite honest I just don't change the settings that much on my ys3m. Sure there's potential for uneven center travel but idk just turn (the screwdriver) more accurately. It's not hard to trial and error your way to an evenly adjusted cube and if you're buying the flagships you should know how to do that anyway imo. Realistically the screwdriver system is losing you at most like 10 minutes over the entire lifetime of your cube and I just don't think that's significant enough to dock points for

I don't have the 13 but I have the 12 and both the tornado and v9. I gotta say it's a tough one. I think performance wise, after quite a bit of time tinkering, for me they're all very similar. But as far as feeling I prefer the v9, plus I do enjoy the smaller size. So wrm v9 is my favorite but I really like them all

Honestly, I think that a lot of people are forgetting older cubes that are still very good, cubes like the Gan 11 m pro and the wrm maglev with core magnets are all still viable and can compete with the latest cubes since there hasn’t been that much of an increase in performance for a while.

In my opinion, the Tornado v3 might be the best cube if you compare price and everything. But the Gan 13 is absolutely better if you ignore the price. I've used a lot of Moyu cubes and the Weilong Wrm was my main for a long time and I do agree that the adjustment system was really bad as I had a lot of trouble with it. I still like Moyu a lot though as its great if you don't want to spend much money. Gan is definitely overpriced but if you've a lot of money and you want to commit to cubing I'd choose Gan as it's absolutely the best performing in my opinion. I like fast cubes and when I bought the Gan 13 I was very happy. I don't have a lot of good experience with the Tornado's and would much rather go for a Moyu, but I know that Tornado's are very good.
And my tierlist for these three is therefore:
1. GAN 13 Maglev
2. Tornado v3
3. Moyu v9
If you'd really focus on the price however, the Tornado would be 1st. And at the end of the day, it all comes down to personal preference. Also question for everyone: what is the best Gan cube in your opinion? (also comparing the price)
