This is the exact video comparison I've been looking for, please explain why it doesn't have more views
The way you threw the first batteries on the floor 😂😂 thanks for the video!
Super informative, very helpful video! It sounds like the rechargeable AA batteries solution will be best for me - thanks!
I love the Power A batteries. They allow you to plug a USB directly into the battery and charge while you play. They also have the wireless charging pad on the back for the charging stands.
1 Search, this came out, served all the purposes. Congrats to you! Thanks x)
You’re welcome Joel. Thank you for watching!
I need to invest in some rechargeable batteries... Awesome video
Thanks Shaun, we always appreciate your feedback!
Which ones did you Decide on
@@jocojajo636 I feel the lack of contribution to the Xbox community. 😂 My boy never answered back
Brian Roldan yea 😂 i ended up deciding on the fosmon 4 pack, top rated one and on sale on amazon
I love this ones so far 19.99 2xpack charger and cable, amazon link amzn.to/2UVmUgh
druacell batteries that came with my xbox one controller lasted me 40 hours before dying
Mine lasted a week bruh you play alot huh
RagedUnicycle 11 what? 40 hours is 40 hours it doesn’t matter how long you play
@@mikitazwol6634 what??
@@ragedunicycle1157 yo was you vibration on? And how powerfull was your batteries?
@OMAR ELSOUALY my fault bro i probably wrote that comment at 3 am and your English is great
I purchased two 10’ usb cables from Newegg for $5. It works great and I saved money by not buying batteries and all those expensive chargers.
Great route to take if you don’t mind being wired
For an Xbox is it a Micro or Mini USB??
Pat G
Micro usb
Yup. Gonna buy 2 meter mini USB cable now
Best Video that explains the charging system on the Xbox controller! It’s my first XSX and I didn’t know what to buy or how to charge for the controller! Thanks for the info!
Our pleasure!
Oh this is amazing! Exactly the type of video that I was looking to see.
Our pleasure!
Cable charging batteries. The charge port on the controller wears and can't charge correctly. I need the AA now. Looks like a trip to best buy cause I haven't seen it in Walmart.
This video was really helpful to choose what to buy
I will give the official xbox plug and play a try
Hope it works well
Thanks for watching!
Thank you, this was a very helpful video! I like how you compared all of these products.
Our pleasure!
I just bought the Xbox One X cyberpunk Edition. I'm really disappointed that Xbox doesn't give you a controller with the console that actually can be charged. Coming from the PlayStation and Nintendo this is very disappointing.
Harbor freight rechargeable AA batteries named Thunderbolt Magnum that have a true 2500mah rating each totaling 5000mah and sold in 4 packs for $7.99 and the Charger for $6.99
I bought a newer Xbox series S|X controller. But this video fits for that as well. The best video on this subject! Not very flashy video but very helpful. Thanks for this. :)
Excellent! Glad we could help. 👍🏻
Great video! Only thing I’d add (because I question this) is with the charging stand. It’s a controller stand / charging stand. My question is, rechargeable batteries aren’t supposed to be recharged until they are drained... and most (that I know of) shouldn’t be over charged... so does the charging stand recognize the batteries charge level and won’t send charge if the level is too high, and does the stand stop sending charge after the battery is full? I’d hate to spend $50 on a stand / charging stand that reduces the overall life of the rechargeable battery. I guess if you have a charging stand and a regular stand you’d be ok, but what about over charge? I’m looking to buy a LE charging stand for my LE console, so my charging stand would double as a regular controller stand, but if I only play for an hour on a fully charged (or even half charged) battery then set my controller on the stand am I now hurting that rechargeable battery? I’ll probably just buy the play & charge kit, and get a regular stand because I’m assuming those charging stands won’t have the smart tech to know not to charge.
I find the rechargeable AA batteries like the Panasonic eneloop are actually one of the best options if you don't mind having to swap AA batteries. The BQ-CC17 charger (Panasonic K-KJ17MCA4BA) with batteries is an $18+ investment (if you don't have an AA battery charger) but spending 18+ dollars is really worth it for any Xbox One or Series X|S owner. The advantage of the BQ-CC17 charger compared to the other cheap chargers is the BQ-CC17 can charge batteries individually whereas other chargers including the AmazonBasics battery charger only charge in pairs though this may be a moot point for Xbox Controllers since they use 2 AAs anyway but it's useful with devices using only 1/3 AA or AAA batteries.
As Ξανδρος Peaches stated in a comment, beware of no-name batteries, especially AA Ni-Mh batteries, from China. Most of these batteries like POWEROWL tend to have lower capacity (e.g., 2300 mAh instead of 2800 mAh) and generally aren't Low Self Discharge. In addition, no-name rechargeable batteries tend to have inferior performance compared to name brand batteries like Panasonic eneloop, Duracell, and AmazonBasics.
Perfect video! I've always been wondering if the magnetic battery can be charged through a usb cable!
Appreciate that and thanks for watching!
I just got the Ponker 2500 mAh ones one Amazon for $15. They are the exact same aesthetics as the last one you showed on here.
How TF you get those shipped to you? I can't get them because "your address cannot ship hazardous contents such as lithium ion batteries".
@@autobotzapof0002 that didn't even come up, it worked like any regular order on Amazon.
The only negative thing is, you didn't talk about how long it takes to charge those batteries, especially those wireless chargers.
How long do the batteries last until they have died and don't work anymore?
Very good your video. Are BEBONCOOL batteries still as new after this period? I ask why I want to buy them.
Good spotting! I have an old rechargeable energizer battery AA similar to your one and they do last a bit at least a few days when I am gaming it hard core.
Hey i dont know if your going to see this but my xbox 1 s is used i bought it off someone and it came without a battery and a got 1 on ebay it was the one that had the led light on the cable but the cable says the batterty is full its on green and when i take of the cable and try to turn on the xbox it does nothing any advise?
they used corded controllers so the batteries dont die not because of latency issues that definitely depends on your monitor 👍🏼
The usb hole for my elite is getting loose for wired gaming this was very helpful
Thanks for watching!
dylan burns same
I was like "if he has an accent I ain't going to believe shit about what he saying" lmao
so you're a xenophobe?
I had a AA battery charger so I bought an 8 pack of AA batteries I'm really happy with it.
Too bad Microsoft didn't design their controllers for a 21700 cell. There are 21700 li-ion cells that hold 5000mah and can be recharged at 3 amps. A single 21700 cell is also a bit lighter than a pair of AA cells.
The double aa batteries for my Xbox one or Xbox 360 last me about 2 weeks
Amazing video, thanks for all the info!
Is it possible to buy this battery that comes with a connector on its back separately? I just see it being sold with the charger.
I know I'm late but thankssss dude you really helped me 😁
I just bought the 2600 battey pack.. the play time is incredible
Awesome!
As good as this video is, you _really_ need to test battery capacity. The only brands that can be trusted for true rated capacity are name brands, or batteries that use name brand cells internally. A lot of cheaper brands, especially those from China where regulations are next to nonexistent, will overrate their batteries. Even within standard deviation, name brand cells can underperform, but no-name brands will almost always underperform, and deviation between cells will become out of control.
Look at rechargeable batteries for example. Eneloops are one of the top brands for rechargeables. A brand that Amazon pushes, and heavily pushes during sales like Prime Day, are Powerowl. The Curious Engineer did a fairly in-depth video on the Powerowls, as other reviews seem to not exist, and the cells were overrated, blatantly falsely advertised in other ways, and underperformed, along with the deviation issue being broad. This is a great example of why you can't just trust an no-name brand for what their claimed capacity is. Cheap no-name brand is unreliable, where the name brand is reliable.
Basically, if you're going to talk about battery capacity in the way you did, you need proof, preferably with scientific evidence, that the batteries perform as the companies claim.
Awesome video bro thanks I actually got my new xbox series x and thought the batteries that come with it are rechargeable.
Hey! So i bought a used Elite Series 1 controller from someone, and it did not come with the micro usb charger. I have tried 5 diffrent micro usb charges and the controller works on my accutal pc (i play controller on pc btw) but, not in game. For example on Fortnite and Rocket League nothing happens when i press the buttens in game, but when im in the Xbox Accesiries app it works fine. Do you have any USB links that you know 100% work for the controller (on pc) or do i have to play with the one that comes in the box when i buy it?
Watching because I went through four batteries in 4 days I stay up from 8pm and play till 7am in the morning
I've been using energizer rechargeable batteries now. With light uses they can last for days
Can Xbox one charge with phone charger? How many hours on aa?
Quick question: I bought the Xbox One Controller Gear charging stand recently, do I put in the Duracell batteries that I already used in my controller once it's fully charged or do I play with those same batteries in that were in while they were charging in the stand?
I may have missed it but did you say those energizers plug into the wall or USB? I hate the USB ones, im looking for one that plugs to the wall.
The Energizers typically plug into the wall.
Great video! The Beboncool is the option I'm most interested in. I don't have a console or a device with a USB port that I'd want to leave on for the time it takes to charge a battery. What I do have, however, is a powered USB port that plugs into a standard mains power socket (3 pin UK for me.), it is designed to charge controllers and anything else that needs a USB to charge, could I plug the Beboncool charger into it and use it that way?
It works fine like that.
Awesome video thank you
I always see eBay knock off charging stands with included rechargeable batteries. The batteries are always 300mah for the cheapest option. That must not last at all
stay away from those products
you could always open up that charge-pack that is usb connected and replace them with better batteries like ones made for newer electronics.. Btw they're is also some regular rechargeable batteries that when you plug the cord in it charges them also. And then their are some controllers that will not work with the cable connected at all, and some that will work with the cable and no batteries and some you put dead batteries in first and then take them out to get them to use tghe cord and no batteries. Those back charger batteries suck i got some that i got cheap and they always break ive had to take them apart multiple times to fix them, and the contacts wear out over time and the weight also messes up over time. the batteries last 5-6 hours of actual playtime. Again though you can put new batteries in them and take them apart.
I like the video man but u forgot to include the battery pack by power A
So what differences between Duracell battery and rechargable battery?
Amazing review!
Really appreciate it and thanks for watching
So my question is, the controller that uses AA batteries, does that also take the Ni-mh battery packs as well? Are they all compatible or are they different controllers?
I just want the cheapest option of rechargeable batteries or wired controller with no gimmicks and just a regular controller
My energiser lasted 5 days other 1s last 1 day
Im confused you say its 1400mah for the xbox play and charge kit. That doesnt matter i can get like a full day of usage with that. Where did you get the 8-10hrs figure. Talk sense.
Hey mates so for the last battery pack; can anyone tell me how it feels having it plugged in? Like is it bothering or uncomfortable in any way when your holding your controller
Do you know the MAH of the Xbox elite series 2 Controller? I own 2 of them and I'm just wanting to know.
Should be around 2000 mAh
Thanks for the video. I am a pc player looking for a controller. Can I just say what a mess this is? Guess I'll just go for the Steelseries option, even though I like the colour schemes on some of these controllers very much.
Thanks for watching and yes, lot of options.
Xbox series x controller still doesnt charge the AA batteries which you ve shown at the beginning fromthe usbc port right?
Do people play games for more thn 10hrs? 😂🙆🏿♂️
Lol, I finished halo 5 in just one day.
Duracell battery ran out in 8 hours
Yep
@Asifur Rahman I know man these filthy casuals
this was very useful
Excellent! Thanks for watching.
Im less than 2 mins in i just put in duracell to my xbox controller played a 6hr sesh and batteries are still full. My xbox charger is not charging nor are my venom ones i think due to them being old now 🙈
I was really interested in the last and wanted to get it but it turns out they don’t ship to uk 😢
OOF
Question:
I'm new to xbox recently got Xbox Series S?
Now I have Normal AA's Rechargeable Batteries can I put those in my controller then plug it in to charge it well that charge my battery with harm to controller
Hello. From our understanding, you can plug the controller in and it won't cause harm, but it won't charge the battery.
@@SeasonedGaming
Oh okay! Thanks
I'll get the New Charge and play kit then
Hello can i just use any charging cable on my xbox series x and i heard it just make a wired controller but one thing is confusing me can it explode the controller if i keep using it forever
As long as it’s USB-C it should be compatible.
Good job!
Thank you!
Did u know that duracell had a pink bunny first, they lost their trademark so energizer then made a commercial about a pink bunny, and they couldn't do anything because their trademark expired, so now the duracell bunny is everywhere accept north america 👍
No.......but now we do!
Do i need to remove the battery from play and charge kit on my xbox one controller to avoid battery corrosion?
The batteries that came with my xbox lasted for 3 months
I connect my controller but it disconnects in the middle of the game
For the Xbox series x do I need a XSX charge and play kit or can I use Xbox one charge and play? For the elite controller series 2
I’m on pc gaming and hate buy battery So I bought a Xbox ome battery pack so how would I charge the control? Will charge if I plug it to my laptop or wall charger
Me and my ghetto as using hardwiring to a pocket battery
can i charged the double A battery directly on the controller ?
no unfortunately
i bought Duracell Rechargable 2500 Mah Ultra... but it is only 1.2V. but Xbox 360 wireless controller require 1.5V each. bcoz of this, wireless gets switched off. what to do?
I'm currently looking for new rechargeable batteries right now. Hearing good stuff about the Panasonic Eneloop Pro.
Do u get it ?
Can u charge rechargeable batteries inside the controller with the lead
Battery number 2 can you charge the battery without the back covering the control
I have tried the Wal-Mart brand battery pack and rechargeable batteries to what is ur favorite pack do u use
How do I get an extra battery and door for the Scorpio charging stand?
My drawer of dead batteries thanks you 😂
Awesome video
Thanks for watching!
Bruh why TF batteries on Amazon if they can't ship them?
My included batteries does the second day of owning my xbox one x lol
Can you do an episode about this for PlayStation controllers too?
We have done a few videos on battery upgrades for the Dualshock.

How long are the respective cables?
Soo what’s the best for online gaming?
thx this helps :}
Out pleasure!
Get the PowerA ones for $14
Mine just started going bad
Have a question does the micro usb cable work on pc
Yes. Will work like standard cable.
If you are using the rechargeable battery, i cannot charge the battery using the port from the controller ?
For instance the energizer recharge
no that doesnt owrk that way
The normal battery's would last me only 2 days
With the new xbox series x having an usb type C cable without led how do you know when it's charging and when it's not?
You don’t. You look on the screen when you hit the Xbox button and look at the top right corner
I wouldn’t get the bionik they can break somewhat easily and they lastly me like 4 or 5 months
is there a way to charge the plug and play batteries out side the controller since i have 2
Not that I’m aware of. These were designed to be changed by the controller and I have yet to see a third party or first product that charges them outside of the controller
don't use milliamp-hour to compare batteries of different voltages, use watt-hours (Voltage x Ah x Quantity), yes, the 1.2v rechargeable bats do have 2300mah but 2 of them only have about 5.52wh, while a 3.7v charge and play battery has 1600 (the new version), but it has 5.9wh, not considering how the voltage changes while the battery is being used, they effectively last the same, just get a charge and play kit and plug the controller when not playing, you'll never worry about having low battery again, you can keep some spare bats in case of emergencies too, in that aspect i like removable bats
Can I recharge and play at the same time using bionic batteries?
sure can
Does anyone know if the taiker rehchargable ones work with my series s controller
How many X-box One battery kits have you changed in 6 years?
And for the Venom brand?
After how long do they start to last less?
So a 1400MaH give 14 hrs of play the 2200Mah almost
Doubles and only gives 4 more hours lol someone doesn’t know what they talking about
Will all these options work on Xbox series x
Yes they will work in the controller the same - except be aware the new Xbox controller uses USB-C instead of micro-USB
@@SeasonedGaming does the taiker recharchagble batteries work with my series s controller?
