for Vader being a "villian" he did free a lot of people and was actually fair in his dealings. This guy deserved what he had coming to him, sometimes the best way people like this learn...its the hardway.

Vader may have done evil things. But I dont think Vader or even the dark side are actually inheritantly evil.
Its just a different path to achieve your desires.
Even the Jedi had desires and goals but in the process of their goals Jedi overlooked and allowed many evils to happen to achieve their version of "good" peace and stability. At the cost and expense of others like slavery in some star systems but maintaining stability.
The dark side strives to achieve peace and stability but through brutal force and domination and by embracing the emotions like make up your desires.
Both can be seen as just different paths to the same goal in a way

I never said he was good either lol.
Killing children is never good (unless its due to like a plague or something) and Vader certainly deserved to die for that crime, and also for many others he commites in Palpatines directed orders.
And personally I dont believe Vader deserved to be redeemed but he was by finally killing Palpatine. If he hadnt killed Palpatine the Sith would have won, Luke never would have been strong enough to beat palpatine.
Vader is just a tragic character. With all sorts of grey areas marred by evil acts and good intentions.

Okay, maybe these guys didn't know Vader just yet, but how could they be so totally out of touch with what had been going on in the newborn Empire? After all this I'd say that it would be wise to not mess with some military leader, particularly when there is a capital ship in orbit.

The son couldn't have expected that to go down well. Assassinating an Imperial business partner while the Imperial officer overseeing the deal is in the room. Even if he didn't know Vader he could have guessed there'd be retribution.
It turns out that Influenza exists in a galaxy far far away and has strains so effective that even basic self-preservation instincts cease to exist when it comes to contemplating whether your actions have consequences.

I'm always a fan of when a big crime Lord thinks he's the big bad everyone needs to fear then the *actual* big bad appears and puts them in their place. Especially when said crime boss thinks they're in control up until the moment they're done.

I'm surprised at how well this story arc developed. There's this beautifully excuted parallelism about the relationships of the billionaire and his son with Darth Sidious and Vader respectively. It's very subtle but I feel like it was definitely on purpose because it rhymes so well.
