Palpatine has been lying to Anakin (and the Republic) since day 1. This is just another lie.
Also, he's been clearly putting Vader through countless tests, both in Canon and in Legends, so we know he's bs'ing.

Oh, but it *was* a test! But it was a test for *Vader* himself, not Sly! Sly simply had the extreme misfortune of being the sacrificial pawn Sidious chose to use to test Vader. :P

I will never understand how the people of the galaxy forgot the name Skywalker seeing as he was like a huge hero that was always on their version of television, like that cannot be a common last name
Skywalker is a common name in the Star Wars universe though. IIRC the name "Skywalker" thousands of years ago was originally used to describe anyone that travelled from planet to planet. They are "walking the sky." And as space travel became more and more common, to the point that it's a daily occurrence the significance of being a "sky walker" faded, but the name remained. Sort of like how the last name "Anderson" once literally meant "Ander's son", and "Grimmsdottir" meant "Grimm's Daughter". But now they're just names with no particular meaning.
Considering Vader's response to Sly's "choke", it looks more like she was trying to mind-control him...
That and the fact he mentions that she can't bend him to her will
It seems to me like she was trying to invade his mind, not force-choke him, that's why Vader says," I am a sith. You cannot bend my will "

Yeah I recommend to unsub, there are enough people annoyed by it and rightfully so. I liked this channel, but quite frankly, if you care that little about what you do, you should not be succesfull with it.

He's tryimg to overthrow the emperor with Luke, but if he can't convince Luke then he's willing to kill him. At least at this point in the story.
He wants to replace the emperor with Luke as his apprentice. If Luke isn't down for that, then Luke is just another challenger for his position as far as he's concerned.

Uh.....I'm confused. What do you mean the comics have future possibilities? They can't ignore the movies. These comics ARE cannon, right? They can't change the future, it's already set in stone.
It's lame when Vader doesn't need his suit and faces no danger. You almost start to wonder why he has the suit at all. I know that "He can only deal without it for a short time".....but, how long? what determines that time? We went from "He can't even leave the suit to take Bacta Baths" to "He can breathe and fight and survive everything even when the suit isn't working......because.....the force."
Several hours. Worst-case scenario, if his suit's life support system ever completely fails, Vader can draw on the Dark Side to keep himself alive for several hours, which has always been long enough for him to make it back to Imperial territory to have his suit repaired on the few occasions that it's actually happened to him. This is why Vader died after saving Luke from Palpatine, prolonging his life once his suit's life support systems began to fail was a power entirely reliant on the Dark Side, and by saving Luke, Darth Vader had ceased to exist and Anakin Skywalker had returned and re-embraced the Light Side, so he no longer had the ability to keep himself alive long enough for his suit to be repaired....and by that point in time, I'm sure that Anakin just wanted to reunite with Obi-Wan and Padme's spirits within the Force anyway.

@Lanwarder Ik this in Legends but he's not the only who one who has abused the Dark Side to pull bs and survive when they shouldn't. Darth Sion was pretty much a Zombie that was too angry to die and was pretty much Invincible unless you were able to break his will
He doesn't completely need the suit, though it does help make daily life easier. He has always had the option to get a better suit and prosthetics that are more comfortable and flexible, but he refuses. The constant pain and discomfort helps to keep his negative emotions fresh. He basically gimps himself on purpose, like wearing weighted clothing.

Yes that is exactly what she's doing. The voice bubble isn't Vader going "uughk" or whatever it's a "Hmmm" (the writer of this has some weird choices) He feels her attempts to bend his will and is mildly intrigued by it. He figures out how she got to her position and why the Emperor favored her for so long... she played her final hand and it failed. The illustration is not him trying to get out of a force choke but looking down at her inquisitively. This guy has no clue what he's talking about and apparently is a hack youtuber having uploaded nearly identical videos one after they other.
