Thank you! I've been searching the internet for hours trying to find this part. I've only been able to find the locations for other cars until I found your video. Thank you.
Rico Banks the car didn’t want to start. Kept Turning over but wouldn’t start and sometimes wouldn’t even turn over. It can also be your crankshaft sensor as well
I replaced my crankshaft sensor.... Should I try my camshaft sensor? Because the scanner read BOTH crankshaft n camshaft sensors. Or should I just start getting ready to replace my timing belt? Lol. Thats what I was told it could be that's wrong
Oh because i have a 2017 charger that was idling bad and then came to a hard stop and all the symptoms led up to here. It has a red clip with wires on it thats why im asking
@@thecakeiscomingthecakeisco6613 all you do is unclip it then unscrew he bolt, then twist the sensor to the left and pull it out then put in the new sensor and screw it back and plug in the clip.
Ik this video old an idk if youll respond to this but did you have difficulty trying to pull it out I got the bolt off but can’t get it pull out it spins
So I found out there are two camshaft sensors one on each bank for a 3.6l dodge engine the 2nd one is usually harder to get to and must remove the top cover from the head
Mascolo Miller the gear shifter in these cars go out. I’m having problems with my shifter as well putting it into overdrive mode. Might have to take it to Dodge
Finally someone who actually explains how to do this without taking 15 minutes
Thank you! I've been searching the internet for hours trying to find this part. I've only been able to find the locations for other cars until I found your video. Thank you.

Thank you!! Saved the day with the video and oil trick ✔️
Glad I could help!
Would you happen to know where the bank 1 sensor A is ?
@@Cranks38352 The 02 sensor? Bank 1 is usually the driver side.
On a hemi it’s on the passenger side
@ bank one is always on the cylinder #1 side and on a Hemi bank one is on the driver side,
There's 2 one next to the starter & one there idk why Noone talks about that but GG
Actually that’s the crankshaft sensor at the bottom by the starter
Thank you man appreciate you god bless you
I appreciate you as well
Did your car still crank when you tried to start it
Hey Im getting codes p0031 p0037 p0051 p0057 i have an 06 rt charger any ideas before we junk it?
@@MoparHemi sounds like you need upstream and downstream 02 sensors on both sides.
Just saved me some money
Much appreciated my dawg
What was your car doing for u to replace your camshaft sensor
Rico Banks the car didn’t want to start. Kept Turning over but wouldn’t start and sometimes wouldn’t even turn over. It can also be your crankshaft sensor as well
I replaced my crankshaft sensor.... Should I try my camshaft sensor? Because the scanner read BOTH crankshaft n camshaft sensors. Or should I just start getting ready to replace my timing belt? Lol. Thats what I was told it could be that's wrong
Rico Banks the camshaft sensor will be a way cheaper fix and easier fix try that first. That should be the problem.
@@IsThatGeneral thx Ima put it on tomorrow.... I'll let u know how it Goes
Rico Banks I’ll be waiting make sure to like and sub more great content on the way!
Did you just pull the sensor out or did you have to use a flat head screwdriver
There’s a 10mil or 8 mil bolt you have to unscrew then twist the sensor and pull it out.
Oh because i have a 2017 charger that was idling bad and then came to a hard stop and all the symptoms led up to here. It has a red clip with wires on it thats why im asking
I did manage to get the bold unscrew its just what to do next
@@thecakeiscomingthecakeisco6613 all you do is unclip it then unscrew he bolt, then twist the sensor to the left and pull it out then put in the new sensor and screw it back and plug in the clip.
Did you unclip it with a flat head by pushing down or pulling up?
is this the same camshaft sensor location as a 3.5?
No because I believe the 3.6L has 4 camshafts, so you’ll need two camshaft sensors. The Hemis only have one.
Ik this video old an idk if youll respond to this but did you have difficulty trying to pull it out I got the bolt off but can’t get it pull out it spins
Once I took the bolts off. I turned the sensor then pulled it out. It locks into place.
I'm confused is this the crank shift cuz what is a camshaft
It’s the camshaft sensor. The camshaft pumps air through the motor.
What year is that?
Hay thanks for the vid
Thanks for watching
Thanks bruh!
Is there only one sensor?
Yes there’s only one
So I found out there are two camshaft sensors one on each bank for a 3.6l dodge engine the 2nd one is usually harder to get to and must remove the top cover from the head
@@robertbonilla8707 yea the 3.6 liters motors usually come with 2 camshafts so there’s two camshaft sensors, but for my 5.7 there’s only one.
Does anyone know....?? Does the car try and start but doesn't need to know my charger my be doing this
Mascolo Miller the car will try and start but won’t start If your camshaft sensor is bad
Ok there's no code for that reading but I will say it's giving a code for the gear shifter and I can't move it out of gear
Mascolo Miller the gear shifter in these cars go out. I’m having problems with my shifter as well putting it into overdrive mode. Might have to take it to Dodge
@@IsThatGeneral thank you 😕 I hope not
@@IsThatGeneral I will let you know
Was the p0016 code ?
It should be the crank/cam sensor code
@@IsThatGeneral you wouldn't happen to have a link would you?
@@Repta710 what year is your charger?

You didn’t show how to reprogram the new. You gotta reprogram unless it will fuxk up ur motor
@@yungswagg8848 the computer will reprogram itself. You don’t have to do it.
