I have watched a lot of long videos over the years and are so over them, now I mainly watch them if there real important, but I really like you guys, so I watched it, and I must say, I really enjoyed it, well done guys, you have done such a top job,and I love how funny you are, I can see how you ended up together. I just give some advice that might help with the numbers, I would keep to 20 to 30 minutes, keep it up, it's turning out really good, God bless guys, from the place they call down under, but I say, from across the pond.

Laura, did you ever think about making paintings on wood to sell? The owl you painted on a piece of wood hanging in your bath house is really good. You could sell them locally for income.
Is there what we call a farmers market in or near your town? That's a good place to sell your paintings
Not really anything like that close by we are to far away from any markets or anything like that. Really glad you appreciate it and thanks for sharing ideas we will see in the future but for now just for something to enjoy

Laura, think about this, in your spare time, ha ha, make some if your crafts, paintings on wood, save them. Pick a couple of days in the fall and close to Christmas, go to your town and set up a small stand to sell them. Here in the States a lot of small towns and big cities have craft fairs in the spring, fall and two weeks before Christmas.
You could also sell fruit and olives from your land. Something to think about.

Hey guys, found your channel about a month ago, I can honestly say it's been an amazing watch.....loved every one, I've told so many people about it, and you have had a few more subscribers through it. Many people have the dream of what you are doing but never do it, your channel is so inspiring, the rawness of it all, the lack of knowledge, the fact you have the guts to show this and film it all without the expertise that others pay a fortune for by bringing in tradespeople, is truly brilliant.
I am a joiner by trade and have worked on a number of projects both private and on T.V, and although I can see a few things I would have done differently, there is absolutely nothing wrong with anything you guys have done. You are doing exactly what I am building up to, I have a couple more years to do yet to get my finances in order, but then my dream starts..... you are inspirational and so down to earth about it all it's great, keep up the good work, don't burn yourself out and enjoy life.x

Just a note about olive picking...you can take all your olives to an oil pressing plant and they will take a percentage of the oil as payment for pressing the olives...you will get your own olive oil.

Guys I am loving your story so far and more power to you. For cooling down you will find lots of the villages and towns on waterways have river beaches where in the summer months they dam off the local rivers so that everyone can go and cool down. Thought you might like to know. I found out as I am doing the same thing as you, also in central Portugal. Have fun and I will enjoy watching your journey.

Another item you need is a tractor that can do all kinds of thins or have attachments to it, such as a excavator attachement Rototiller attachement to dig up your garden. Look for good used that already have all these attachments.
