Last summer we broke the pool , too😢. And we tried everything we could to seal the hole. I bought four different adhesives and two patches, but nothing helped. The water pressure destroys a hole in the pool 😮. I had to buy a new one, so do not worry if you can not fix it. Good luck and lots of strength. ❤❤❤😊

Dig a pond 1 foot deep 8by ten feet wide use the soil from digging the thing throw around the pond as a retaining berm and line the thing with pond liner put here and there a few small boulders to keep it down, put plants around and then hook it up to a small solar powered slow pump pumping water from your well let it drain out at the top in one or two areas and use the water at this spot to water some of the plants, this way you’ll ways have fresh water in there and it also clears up your well, you can improve your well by putting an 6 foot diameter well housing in the so rounded with filter cloth and drain rock, and cover the hole thing and you have nice and clean water, just an idea from some body living a long time in the wilderness and building things from scratch and from what you find in nature or on the dump

We have a driveway like yours to our land and after every rain it developed those rivers (ditches) running down it. Unless you dig ditches out to the sides for the water to run off it will keep on happening. Hard to maintain a gravel/dirt driveway when the sides are higher than the drive. It was always a talking point among our family and in the winter they had to park their cars at the end and we would go and get them in our 4 wheel drive. Part of the fun of living on the land.

You could use the poly-tunnel frame to go over your pool, just fasten some sun-shade material over the top of it.
Using plywood (particleboard) for the top cover you see doesn't work. You have tin left over, fashion a cover out of that! I think it would work and may heat the water a bit. 😊

My son came in my room and asked "What in the world are you laughing about?" I showed him and he laughed as well. It seems so refreshing and it refreshed my heart to see you both so joyful. I truly love seeing your smiles and hearing your laughter. You both work so hard to get so much completed day after day. This is why I watch your videos twice if not more. It is fun to pause and look at God's creation. I pray for you both everyday. God bless you both and so much love in Christ! ~John

Good job you two! Just a suggestion to make it easier to unload gravel or dirt from the truck bed...put a tarp down in the bed and put the material on top of it. Then, at the dump site, pull enough material out of the bed with shovels until you can grab and pull the tarp off the end of the tailgate. Clean bed and no material in the hinge area of the tailgate. 👍

Ibc tanks make the best plunge pools. Clad the steel frame with pallet wood,3 cut top off ibc carefully as the top can be reused as the lid. It has a tap in the bottom of the ibc which is perfect for emptying the water out.

After all the hard work fixing potholes and sorting out the poly tunnel. Nick who has a channel called Project Portugal suggested in his most recent video that scaffold debris mesh makes a good shadecloth as it's strong and UV protected so doesn't disintegrate in the sun as easily. It would make an excellent cover for the poly tunnel. It can be bought in 3M X 50M rolls for about £40 in the UK.

Great idea to have the plunge pool, especially when those temps get up! One thing to bear in mind with the pool being uncovered, it won't take very long for algae to start to grow in there, also you're going to get some "visitors" living in the water - mosquito larvae, dragon fly larvae, water boatmen, backswimmers (they bite) etc. Might be a good idea to look into some way of chlorinating the water so you two don't end up catching a bug!

Thanks for comment and sharing when the water warms up we will use on land and replace the water so algae shouldn't build up ❤

Dumping in some hydrogen peroxide once in a while should zap everything and just turns into water when it’s done

I would suggest for your soaking pool to, as you stated get a better liner, and 2nd use light colored tin to reflect the sun and that way you will have no dirt ect in the water. If you put a hinge on the tin, so that when you want to use it, it is a simple matter of lifting the tin cover and when you are done, put the tin back in place with also a latch of course. One sheet of tin cut in half might be all you need for the lid.

Those cheap tarps just aren't designed to stand up to much sun, even UK sun. Just like the polytunnel.
