Wow, the kitchen is an absolute delight, well done guys. Also, this episode made me think about how many relationships are stuck in the mud or treading water because the machinations of modern life get in the way, and couples/families don't have a purpose, and even though you have lot's of jobs that are hard and a pain in the arse, they bring you closer together, and actually, humanity has been doing this for far longer than it hasn't, it's quite beautiful, actually. Thank you guy's 🤘👍

Yup, I think the system we called modern living is really really broken. They call it progress but it's actually the reverse in my opinion. You know how 'old' people moan about the way things were and how 'thing were better back then'? In part I think that may be people dealing with change over a generation but the large part is yhat I believe their right. Every generation sees more and more real world, practical skills forgotten, the need to sacrifice time in favour of work just to keep pace, general standards dropping etc etc. Don't get me wrong, there are beautiful things in our world like art, music, people (of course) but I can really understand now why you have groups like the Amish that lead a more stripped back life and why indeed there are so many people deciding to do what Laura and Dan have done..

It might be too late to suggest this, but with the countertop, are you going to have a little bit of overhang of the countertop at the front? Don't ask me why I think that would be important, but it keep's rattling around in my head. Don't mind me.
I love the message from 'on the back of the ute' (Aussie for truck) about not being afraid to have a go and fail at something. Give yourself permission to have a go. GOOD ON YOU MATE!🤣🐨❣

Make sure you put the stone on the back if you haven't so you can enjoy and admire your beautiful work from any view. Who knows one day you may want to extend the stone patio on the other/back side leading to your pool.... yes I'm jealous! I wonder if a neighbor has a tractor you could borrow to regrade your driveway. Good god the bathroom. I wouldn't be going in there either but I feel confident you will get it resolved. You need some comfy camping chairs with high backs you can keep outside and take in the tent. So excited to see the next episode.

Never heard of someone using peanut butter 🥜 for tiling before, but each to their own in this world 😎 If there's any gaps, could I suggest filling with Royal icing 😜 ?
Go on folks, you're doing just fine 👏‼️

Love what you said about women want to make things beautiful and men want to make things functional. I believe that's how God purposed and made us in the beginning. Adam and Eve, a unity of the masculine and the feminine 💗
My Love likes to say that he desires to build me a house, so that I can turn it into a home 💞
I think your attitudes on this journey and towards life in general is beautiful and you came a long way in a short time, I've been watching all your videos up until this point ☺ keep going, growing and learning and hopefully we'll see each other some day in the future, when my Love and I will be starting our off-grid journey in Portugal as well 💪

When smashing tiles for mosaic put a towel on top when you smash them....saves getting shards every where.
Laura you did a great job with the mosaic...it looks so good.

great job guys, you a'int growing and learning if your not making mistakes. one thing I couldn't tell, but not looks as though you didn't use spacers for your tiling? glad Laura mentioned your planning on grouting the project later. Mosaic looks awesome and so does the tiling and bloody well done to you guys for giving yourselves permission to have a go.
