Well I know exactly where you are. When I was little, 1994/1995 years, my grandpa flew me and my grandma there. My grandpa was an engineer. Iirc, there are 2 wells on your property, not one. The original well was in the upper northwest corner. I believe it was sealed off before my summer vacation was over. It wasn't deep enough, as there was a large rock segment in the way, kept running dry. I would have a talk with the northern Arizona fire district about helping with the maintenance of the airfield, in exchange for them using it, possibly for training or actual fire suppression. Ok, its not my place to give hints or location, so I'm staying vague to protect ya'lls privacy. So if anyone asks me, you're in Guam. Personally what I would do 1st is seal the house up from critters, and get yourself a UV/Black light, to check for scorpions. Next I would strip the barn of panels, and use it to fix the rest of the out buildings. Then I would clear a space in a large circle, and using the "cone" as a sun dial. Next I would clean up around the out buildings, so critters cannot hide so close by. Next I would check the 2 fan shrouds that are stacked on top of each other, the "trash can", and see how much water its holding, as it looks like the rain gutter is dumping into it. For every 1" of rain on a 10'x10' (100 sq ft) roof, you can save 62.5 gallons of water. You can then use that water for fire suppression, gardening, personal water use with a filter inline, or even wash your vehicles, and spray lightly to reduce airborne dust. You have so much you can possibly do, though I'll miss the bomb shelter build. I hope you enjoy your new home with the absolutely beautiful views. I cannot wait to see your next episode.
You definitely got your work cut out for you ,We bought a fixer upper as our first house , almost ruined our marriage just a word of caution.I found myself always working on the house and property . Were an Old Couple now.
About those wings N5780C Cessna 170A Investigating agency: NTSB Report number: SEA87LA026 Status: Investigation completed Sunday 16 November 1986 THE PLT DEPARTED WITH ABOUT 17 GALS OF AUTO FUEL ON BOARD. DURING FLT, THE RIGHT FUEL TANK WAS EMPTIED & THE FUEL SELECTOR WAS MOVED TO THE LEFT TANK POSITION. ABOUT 1.7 HRS AFTER TAKING OFF, THE PLT ENTERED A LEFT SLIP TO DSCND & MAKE A LOW PASS DOWN A RWY TO OBSERVE IT AT LOW ALTITUDE. WHEN HE ADVANCED THE THROTTLE TO APPLY POWER, THE ENG DID NOT RESPOND. SUBSEQUENTLY, THE ACFT WAS DAMAGED DURING A FORCED LANDING ON ROUGH TERRAIN.
Retired airline pilot here with maybe 8000 hours in type..... If you didn't know, the tail cone and stairs are from a DC9/MD-80 series. Why they're there is a mystery.
The, DC nine part for that airplane. There is a company up in Canada that are using it to fly cargo. You should see if they are interested in buying all your DC parts.
Your odd looking "trash can" outside the hangar looks like possibly a jet engine housing? Loving this property! And looks like that 2nd hangar has a generator sitting right there on the floor - if so, might be your welding power source! At 7:41 that looks like it may be a welder also...Thoughts of how much fun to have so much stuff to work on....want a 71 year old electro-mechanical technician to be your on-site security for when you travel and fixer-upper guy? That one fabric covered hangar even has my living quarters inside! Let's get that grader running so we can scrape those runways for your Mooney! Plus I'd only be a few hours away from my daughters and grandsons in Long Beach CA!
_Your odd looking "trash can" outside the hangar looks like possibly a jet engine housing?_ I think they are two jet engine front cowls stacked on top of each other.
Retired Pilot here. One of my dreams was to always buy an old airport in the Desert, seriously. Like an abandoned Military Field (WW2) and build a beautiful house inside of a BIG hanger. I got the idea from Clive Cussler and his action-hero character "Dirk Pitt." I hope ya all have a great time and a great life there. ENVIOUS!!! BLESSINGS TO YOU BOTH.
Just promise to make videos on anything and everything. most RUclipsrs when they make the jump want their vids perfect, which lags their content. I’d much rather watch a series of random videos OFTEN, than buffed, and edited production crap all spaced out. ….Clean up the mouse shit. Make a video of you getting the hanger doors unstuck. document it all and we will watch. CONGRATS on the new place! Can’t wait to see it become “yours.”
The opportunity for content creation with your property is almost endless. Getting the golf cart running to use as a runabout will save a little wear and tear on the jeep. Not only did you buy the property, but a small fleet of aircraft came with it, and of course, the obligatory mini-van. I'm really looking forward to the workshop tour and discovering all the tools you now have available.
@@wonniewarrior No idea how it works with planes. But for the vehicle if you wanted to drive it on public roads you'd have to get a title for it. If the previous owner has the title they can sign it over, if the previous owner and/or title are nowhere to be found then there's a pile of paperwork involved in proving ownership to get plates and insurance for it. That is of course if you wanted to use it as a regular vehicle on public roads. If you just wanna use it as a utility vehicle around on your land and not take down public roads then no paperwork involved. Really just comes down to is the vehicle worth putting the money and effort into getting it road legal, or it better used for bombing around out in the desert and keeping some wear and tear off of the daily family vehicles. I delt with something similar buying my old farm house and several acres in Iowa. Previous owner passed and left all kinds several vehicles and pieces of equipment behind.
Please dont take this advice wrong. I just learned it through experience. You may want to keep your dog on lead to keep her from getting bit and prevent her from eating coyote poop and owl nuggets. The poop contains nasty bacteria and parasites. Dog that size will suffer badly if bitten by a snake, and the baby snakes are even worse with the quantity of venom. Have you taught your pup to fear snakes yet? The coyotes will come for your dog if he is left outside. If the owl leaves, get a cat that will stay in the barn or hanger. They will get the mice and help keep them away from the house. Please don't lift anything without throwing it to the side first and banging on it really good. Spiders and scorpions are out there, too. Do you guys have wifi out there? Short way radios are great and cheap if no wifi. Solar is also a good way to charge stuff. Best of luck to the three of you.
Frickin GREAT Idea on collab! have watched both of them...THAT would be killer and much more expedient with a good time to be had by all !! Peace n God Bless yall...oh and to the Brother across the pond with the popcorn....am right there with ya but from opposite coast of US from them...am in Northern Maine, BUT spent 10 yrs near where they are on the Rez...miss the high desert...but wouldnt give up Timber and water : } ,,peace
Tip on the runway. Since its been unmaintained for a while you will be able to see every problem that will happen during rains. This will give you an idea on how to divert water.

My wife would hate this place. That’s why I love it. Had to subscribe to watch the progress. Can’t wait to see all the improvements you guys make around there. Good luck.
What a hilarious yet heartwarming story behind your discovery of the abandoned air-ranch, Herb-O-Matic! It's amazing how sometimes the most unexpected finds can lead to the most incredible adventures. It sounds like your impulsive decision to take a look, just for fun, turned into something far beyond what you both initially imagined. The journey of turning an abandoned airport into an off-grid homestead on 150 acres is bound to be filled with excitement and challenges. Your willingness to seize opportunities and your wife's supportive spirit make for a dynamic duo ready to tackle anything. Thank you for sharing this snippet of your adventure with us. Can't wait to see how your off-grid dream unfolds on your newfound land!
What a place, a real dream home for those jaded by dense population living. You have a golden opportunity to create some really excellent content. I'm looking forward to it.
Regardless of how much work this will be, you guys are so lucky to get this. I'm an ex aircraft mechanic and I am jumping up and down at what you're finding
Those pieces of wooden wing and hull structure absolutely have some kind of story to tell. We will probably never know what, but it's fun to imagine. Someone put a decent amount of time into them before they were abandoned in place.
I own most of the land that borders your airport. I'm going to build a house and a really cool auto fabrication shop within the next 6 months. So naturally I'll be moving to Kingman. I hope to meet you guys soon. Robert MacIntyre
I'm happy for you! I grew up in Kingman. You bought a piece of western history. My people were best friends with the ranchers who owned that land. We use to see horse herds, and cattle running that land. It's sad to see it all chopped up, but you seem to be a great couple, I am glad you acquired 150 acres of it. Congratulations.
A gran watching from South Australia.. what a wonderful adventure awaits you all. I’m old now but in the old days my husband had a saying “ if it’s not scary exciting it’s not worth doing” good luck mates!
Here’s another idea; not sure if you plan to sell the old place, rent it out, or keep it.. in all scenarios, you need to move your “shop” with all of your tools, etc, to the new place. one way to do it, is, to buy an extra conex or two, have them delivered to the old place, load them up, then have them picked up and brought to your new place.. since you own them, there’s no rush to empty them out.. you could also use the ones you have being used for walls on the double tent hangar, but I suspect they are already packed with “stuff” plus anchoring the tents. your going to need all of your tools & equipment to work on the air ranch.. there is also getting all of your house furniture moved to the air ranch, but a moving company could do that. The places that rent/sell the conexes have big 40’ ramp trucks that they can winch on, and unload the same way.. you just can’t completly load it up, they have weight limits.
I don't disagree with you, but I have another suggestion to consider. While deals still occasionally show up on shipping containers, they are getting much harder to find for a good price and loaded moves can be problematic. I've bought several roadworthy dry vans and several Conex boxes since 2019. Best deal on a 40' high cube in good shape except for two bent hinges was about $1300 before having it hauled to its current location for temporary storage. Empty, I can move myself later after a challenging loading process onto a 40' gooseneck flatbed. However, the best deals I've found for the kind of usage you are talking about--and maybe I shouldn't even reveal this for fear of bumping up the prices when others catch on--are reefer vans on which the refrigerator units have quit working and/or are near the end of their fleet service life. If tires, lights, brakes, and kingpin will pass a mechanic's certification, any Class A hauler can move them. For $2700, I recently picked up a 48-footer with double swing doors on the rear, and two swing doors on the curbside, and one of those is equipped with a lift. The nice thing about the reefer van is it is built much stouter than the typical dry van, is fully insulated, and is already equipped with interior lights. Originally, I was just going to use it for temporary storage too, but I changed my mind when I saw how well-built it is. The floor is fully welded aluminum U-channels alternating up and down to produce a floor that allows cold air to circulate around the cargo. That also makes a floor that can be washed out and the water will flow out through drains that are located in all the corners. I'm now planning to outfit it as a shop that I can have hauled to a rural property I own and be ready to start working on the place as soon as it is parked there. I was going to move the tools anyhow; might as well do it with them already bolted in place and ready to work!
It looks beautiful all around, the peace and quiet and fresh air 🙌🙌 It is all so full of potential and I’m definitely going to come along for the ride 👏🏻
I'm in my 30's and this comment just made me realise why cowboys wear cowboy boots. I feel dumb, but I am from rainy UK were we dont have to worry about these things.
We went to Caves in Montana..Billings.. a few years ago and signs said to watch for rattlesnakes. Looked them up and if you don't bother them no problem. Step on one maybe.
I'm wondering if you thought about the wind that ripped the doors off and made it necessary to put heavy objects on the roof to keep it from flying away.... You might want to get Rattlesnake shots for your dog... it lessens the reaction to the venom and gives you time to get the dog to a Vet for anti-venom shots. You might want to locate the closest Vet so you are prepared and not looking for a Vet after an incident... same for yourself and a hospital that has anti-vernom... also if you or the Dog does get bitten either get a picture of the snake or bring it along to the Dr for identification... with it's head removed. The anti-venom can be specific to the sub species of Rattlesnake. My friend almost lost his arm because of a bite on his hand... his whole arm turned black and it nearly killed him. He was an experienced Rattlesnake handler and he sold venom to a research lab. He quit after being bitten. Also... just a tip... buy some gloves and wear them when reaching into things and picking up things... there are more dangers than just venomous snakes. High top leather boots are also a wise move. A pair of needle nose pliers are handy to have in your pocket for removing cactus spines. In the desert Rattlesnakes are drawn to 3 things: food (mice), water and shelter from the sun or cold . You can reduce the odds of encountering a Rattlesnake by making the environment less attractive to them. they do tend to shy away from areas with a lot of activity but that is no guarantee if they are looking for those 3 things..... Good luck. I think you're going to need it.
Our ranch vet said the rattlesnake shots are hit or miss. However the rattlesnake training you can get around these parts seems to work well. Costs about $100. We watched one of our dogs die from rattlesnake bite and it's horrible to say the least. The tip about getting a vet is a must. This area they won't see you, even in an emergency, unless you have established a relationship.
Can’t wait for you to go through everything and see what treasures you have Are all of the planes yours and the camper in the hanger I take it everything there
This will be 2 men"s life work. The original builder and you, the restorer. This will offer great content. And your dog and snakes, there are ppl that can train your dog to avoid them.
Wholeheartedly agree - Pearl looks like a lovely girl - in fact I'm sure of it. So precious. Please please get her trained. So important as her passing could easily change the trajectory of this wonderful adventure. Good tidings
At 15m30s in the chicken coop, the string with a hook allows you to hang one of those watering things (or a feed dispenser) . Those suspended watering things kelp to keep their drinking water clean, for several days, could be a week or longer. They look like an upturned bucket with a saucer connected underneath (hold between about 1 to 3 US gallons of water) and due to a small weep hole and the process of natural air pressure, only a certain amount of water is dispensed at a time, as the chooks drink it up. For many years I lived in rural Australia, in a climate not too dissimilar to where you are (but with milder Winters) and I recommend those chicken water dispensers. Normal chickens and Guinea Fowl worked out well for me. During the daylight hours when predators such as foxes/coyotes/ferrets are minimal, (be aware of YOUR local conditions) then chickens and guinea fowl can be released from a coop, and will happily graze around the property then come home in late afternoon to the coop. Keep them cooped up full time for say 3 weeks at first, and then, use feeding time to train them, only putting out supplemental feed in late afternoon, and calling them, so they learn to come, for food, when called in the late arvo). Hens lay most of their eggs prior to Mid-day so letting them out after then, means that most eggs will be laid inside the coop, easier for you to find and collect while fresh.. Even on near desert-dry ground the birds happily scratch around for hours, find bugs and old seeds to eat, they love mice or baby rats if they find them, they beat them against the ground and then gobble them up ! (or actual useful weeds to eat, after periods of rain, when green growth sprouts for awhile). (Where I was, we had reliable rain in Winter, but Summers were desert dry and searing heat for many months of the year). My total annual rainfall was 320mm or 12 and a half inches on average. Snow had never been recorded, where I lived in Australia, and morning frosts in Winter, thawed quickly, so for example Orange and Olive trees grew well, for example. Plus hens naturally eat 100 grams of dirt, about 4 ounces, EACH week if given free range, as a natural part of their foraging and feeding. This actually helps their digestion. Unlike mammals with teeth, such as humans and sheep etc, who generally do not like gritty dirt sandy grains in with their food, chooks don't mind. Fresh chicken manure is VERY strong fertiliser and must be used sparingly, or can be mixed into compost. If fertilising around fruit trees, put the chook manure some feet clear of the base of the trunk, . Geese and ducks were less successful for me, even though I provided tiny ponds for them in large plastic tubs. They make the water filthy very quickly.
If you have the patience to work on airplane there’s nothing on that property you can’t handle. Both of you have a fantastic sense of humor and I can’t wait to see future videos!
You should be able to crank out a YT video every week for the next 20 years or so. Seriously, lot's of potential for great content and turning that place into a comfortable home and business. First thing, I'd get a couple semi-truck size dumpster bins and start tossing junk into them. That barn looks like a tear-down, the hangers look repairable. And that grader - solid gold, can't wait to see you get it running and using it on the runways. Best of luck on the repairs and your channel, I'll be here every week for it.
Definitely a glass half full couple. Remembering humor when life gives you a huge smile is so important. Hey you now have 150 acres, new home, two or three airplanes, a car and a trailer plus three Mistry Conex boxes. Oh, I forgot that your totally off grid. This all reminds me of a Mad Max movie, ok I'm a new scriber now. Help keep your You Tube fans happy.
Get an old used 4x4 n Drag a 11fy Beam to keep the road n weeds clean n always make sure no weeds around by the house or Buildings n that help keep Fire n Snakes away n makes it so you can see that it's clear n keep a Big walking Stick when you walk n pound the Ground with Stick n the vibration will make the Snakes Rattle n so you will here them n be Safe , that's what I did on my 20 Acres
Lots of extra stuff... Tools, planes, rv, vehicle. Is that twin rudder plane an Ercoupe? Can only imagine what little treasures are stored in those containers. A DeLorean would be nice. Even though that solar panel may be cracked, it may still put out some power. Looks like some uni-strut & a cover shed to protect the electronics & pump. Probably should get the well water tested for purity, minerals, etc. About how far is that train? Hard to tell with the camera viewpoint. Is the horn loud at your place? Looks like a nice place to mount a security camera to view the property. Probably up on the upper tank just to get a bit higher view. Speaking of cams. OWL CAM! A trail cam up by the nest would probably increase some site views. The place
I make music vids for my youtube channel but I love following "adventures" like this. I traveled and performed in my "younger days" but at 79 I'm pretty much a home body now. I downsized my studio and moved to the mts of NC where I've been renovating an old store that was converted to a house back in the 50's and it needed lots of work. I should have youtubed it but youtube wasn't around when I bought it in 2000. Put my first vids up around 2006 or 7 when youtube first started and the channel began to explode a few years later when I began to spend a lot of time on it around 2015. I downsized my studio and rebuilt near my house here in NC where moved to retire. It's a neat little sound and video studio where I make some hopefully interesting vids. So you've got a ton of content ahead of you and looks like from the comments you're on to something. I know I'm along for the ride!
Well because I am Australian, I must say do not underestimate those bloody snakes. I have personally watched 3 of my dogs die from snake bite over the years. My next door neighbor lost his dog only last summer to a big Tiger Snake. Even a baby snake will kill a dog. Our defense is to keep the yards clean, no debris laying around the house and keep pet water bowls to a minimum. Oh yeah, and we live in suburbia. Everything in Australia is protected, even snakes. (not in my yard)
Yeah the Mojave desert has some truly awful rattlesnakes. Thankfully we can just shoot the damn things on sight, no protections for the little killers whatsoever. The coyotes are also dog killers and then of course there's the mountain lions. The cougars will happily kill large dogs, kids and even smaller adult women. Both the yotes and lions will then dismember their prey, so if anybody ever finds you it'll be in pieces scattered across the desert. Oh and then there's the spiders, we got two varieties: big and harmless (the tarantulas); then big lethal (black widows, brown recluses, and a few others). Us Mojave residents and you aussies have a lot in common when it comes to wildlife, feel free to come visit. Cheers!
All the hay and chicken bits leftover in the coop. Scrape it all up into one pile. when you're ready to start in on the garden you'll have the best compost ever! Sooo much opportunity. Soooo much work to be done! I'll stick around and wait and see what happens. Good luck.
Congratulations on the fixer upper. It has endless possibilities and an enormously high potential. Good luck guys. Now all you need are chickens, goats, sheep and cows. Plus several dogs and local animals and y’all will have a great home.
Solar water pump based on the cu200 control unit is a Grundfos SQF series. The control unit is needed to leverage a float switch in the tank. These pumps are inverter based and run on 30-300V DC OR 120/240V AC. Great pump! Soft start and can run it off a tiny Honda generator at need. Three panels in series is plenty to keep the tank topped off.
@@jameslarkins7589As a self proclaimed weirdo of 3 I'm curious how many of you are licensed pilots and own a plane? I think those 2 things would limit your average weirdo
Your videos are different, in a good way. I laugh and you keep interested. The bunker videos were great and I can't wait to see what you do with the zombie apocalypse ranch. 😄
Normally or quite often vehicles on large blocks were running untill the battery went flat or the owner stopped using it. Best to find out how to lift the blade before getting the grader running. Plane and large caravan are possibly worth some money. Plane might increase in value if cleaned up and engines run. Hopefully the shed needing roof iron on roof and walls get it screwed back on. Good video. 😊
I think I saw the grader blade was already chained in the "UP" position. That could mean a possible hydraulic issue. He's got plenty of garage space to work on it but towing that inside is another story....that Jeep won't move it.
Enjoying your program, my wife and I from New Zealand. Cleaning your battery terminals with BI- CARB WITH BOILING WATER, mix two spoons of Bi carb into a cup of boiled water then pour over area on batteries. This will fiz alot then rinse off with water and wow. There is no need to buy expensive cleaner, just use your wife's baking soda cheaper than your 12 bottles of cleaner.
Congratulations I like the property it has lots of potential. First off you shouldn't get that greater looked at by heavy equipment repair guy. It looks like you got two possible plans the ERCOUPE 415-C that one is still certified until 20:30. the beachcraft Bonanza looks nice too I didn't see n number on the fuselage did you check the containers at that second building there must be a lot of stuff in that plus you have all that other aircraft Parts and Equipment that really needs to be gone through really carefully I bet you have lots of replacements for the Bonanza and the 415c. And a good thing is if you have spring water and those water tanks and you can keep them full man I would put up a couple nice big heavy duty enclosed hot houses especially if you're getting a lot of sun there and you have lots of water you can grow really good but that excavator is wonderful because you can get running you can keep your runways in good shape and all your roads after it rains really cool
Hope you didn't sell off all those solar panels in the shop. Now you have the perfect use for them, power all the buildings! Really looking forward to the rest of this adventure. See if you can get Matt from diesel creek to get the grader going. He Loves old equipment. Cheers guys, looking forward to...
Is it wrong that I watched the tour of the whole property, through the hanger, the old airplanes, the shed, house, and everything...but when I saw those coffee cans on the table I was like "OOOHH coffee cans full of random nuts & bolts! SCORE!!!" I get amused by the littlest things 😁
Loved the tour. Much fun, more work. Most important was the big reveal that you're not 12, anymore... Such good acting, I was convinced otherwise. Even without the pop tarts. Watching your channel is more addicting than sugar, but less fattening, and maybe a little healthier. What are you going to call it? Burning man is already taken... Mmm, they come for a party, but forced to work.
Future Burning Man camper...chicken shack, barn, water catchment system, wow, this is amazing!!! You could grow hemp, doesn't take much water. Love the outside stone fire place, goat barn!! Look forward to watching you fix this place up!! If you need an air tower controller, I am your gal!
You better plan on hiring a few live in helpers, for a few years. Your wife will have plenty to do in the house.. When visiting the neighbors ,keep an eye out for some of your missing property. And parts. Buy a few Golf carts to get you around. Don't bother asking for ideas or suggestions ,just do what you want and make this project your own. Only you know what needs doing and do it your way. You will need ta tractor with a loader and a backhoe. When it's done you will be happy.
To the Kingman Sky Ranch, you have yourselves a super RUclips content now. I would have bought it too, if I were young again! Going to really enjoy your journey❗️👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Oh BTW, nice little Ercoupe; forerunner of the Mooney.
Edited to add more: LOVING all the tools and the grader and planes in various states of repair etc that you have. There is always a use for stuff - and if there isnt within 12 months - it can go to scrap metal or be put in your helicopter garage on shelves for 'in case of need' and then wood stuff go elsewhere - put chicken wire or chain link up somewhere on an external wall and hang up the antique tools just as a talking piece around the back of where you might do a BBQ area and need to have an extra wind block wall. Personally I am in love with the house. Im in a wheelchair - a 4wd one for outside - a nice polite one for going into town to do shopping and going for dinner or to 'polite areas' (ie: not trapsing mud on chunky tyres through nice carpet or tiles. ...) so the sunken lounge floor would have to be filled in - hopefully that leaves enough room to the ceiling .... Please tell me you are keeping the horse yards or fixing it and have horses??? How perfect would it be riding out there OMG those tarp and container shelters are awesome I'd definitely have stuff happening there - even if it was indoor stables and living in the caravan in there and electric (solar) turnout yards/paddocks for the horses next to the shipping for daytime til the ones over near the house were fixed.... With your air strips - you're gonna have neighbours saying 'those weird city folk who moved in out there are nuts - next theyll be bolting those spare wings to their lil black jeep and seeing if it takes off - theyre doing loads of practice up and down the strips with the car as it is'
I’m excited for this adventure/journey! I’d love to see weekly videos! It doesn’t have to be finished stuff, just take us along! Your personality’s is really what’s fun! Those dry jokes haha and wet ones haha
love you’re going “All in” on RUclips, you have YEARS of content fixing up the air ranch ✅ I still suggest figuring out what’s essential, such as water & shelter, and focusing on those projects first.. then you can at least live their without having to leave for essentials 😉 BTW, was thinking if you’re in the middle of nowhere, Internet access will be very important, especially since you’ll need to upload more often, 2 providers come to mind, if you’re in range of T-Mobile, they have their “Home Internet Service” for $50/month, the other is of course SpaceX’s StarLink, they just lowered the equipment cost to $299 (from $599), the monthly service is higher, however, it’s much faster and more reliable than T-Mobile ✅
Great buy, planes and equipment. Hardest thing is to combat dust and sand everywhere. Last episode, baby rattler may have siblings and momma in there. Least you have well. How did you find such a gem?
Amazing place, I love it. I love too, your wife's response to your question, do you feel overwhelmed." I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with the place!
the best is the house in the ground, protects from cold and heat, you want to get some cats, most effective for rodents and rattlers, around well before new panels install, you want to place some containers to block wind and also in those areas a challenge to find a reliable work crew. Also dry air needs to intercept with effective humidifier, VERY BEST.

Wow, sounds like maybe you should have bought the place.
Bomb shelter is not out of the picture, they didn't sell the old place to buy this place, was mentioned in a reply comment by Herb in previous video
I think that’s an excellent idea!
The “fan shrouds” are actually the nose cowls of a jet engine.

If you didn't know, the tail cone and stairs are from a DC9/MD-80 series. Why they're there is a mystery.
I think the Kingman Airport has a "graveyard/storage section" not sure of there is active scrapping going on or not.
The, DC nine part for that airplane. There is a company up in Canada that are using it to fly cargo. You should see if they are interested in buying all your DC parts.
And hay shed was also part of a plane, maybe also from DC9/MD80.

Absolute fact. I will watch this over any buffed and puffed video.
Does ownership of those planes and vehicle automatically change hands to new owner or is there extra paperwork to change names ?
Mini van. Hah. You misspelled airport shuttle.
Was that hangar being rented out to store that airplane? The aircraft owner may not even be aware that the airport was sold.
You are sitting on a content gold mine! As long as you keep creating I'll continue watching!

So can we say that this might (or does) imply that because of the left slip, with only fuel in the left wing, caused some sort of fuel feed issue?

Those pieces of wooden wing and hull structure absolutely have some kind of story to tell. We will probably never know what, but it's fun to imagine. Someone put a decent amount of time into them before they were abandoned in place.

WOW!!! Reading the comments from folks who know a thing or two about what you have on hand, is eye opening.
I really love the abandoned airport you guys purchased. Looking forward to watching more videos of all of your renovations.

Better buy 10" Leather Boots for walking with the snakes
I'm in my 30's and this comment just made me realise why cowboys wear cowboy boots. I feel dumb, but I am from rainy UK were we dont have to worry about these things.
We went to Caves in Montana..Billings.. a few years ago and signs said to watch for rattlesnakes. Looked them up and if you don't bother them no problem. Step on one maybe.
@@page8581 The issue in most cases people never seem them because camouflage with the area, and by the time you step near one it's often to late.
Justin Boots makes great snake proof boots! I wear them frequently and they protect well from cactus and thorny plants as well.
Ankle gaiters, milsurp.

I hear you I live in Melbourne and have seen snakes near my house and I am in Port Melbourne near the water
Cheers!
Thanks for the invite. Been to US 3 times. Last was in 20012, spent 7 mths touring in a motor home.

Love this place i am so happy for you both....
Loved the tour !
Wishing you both all the best in this new adventure in life together ! 💕
Love the humor ❣️💕‼️
Love your contents. In my country is never possible to own a place of land. Really looking forward for all the great staff from you.
Easy way to groom runways is to drag a 12x12 foot section of chain link fence over and over. Makes it smooth and reveals where it needs major work.
Beautiful project, another subscriber here.
To the Kingman Sky Ranch, you have yourselves a super RUclips content now. I would have bought it too, if I were young again! Going to really enjoy your journey❗️👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Oh BTW, nice little Ercoupe; forerunner of the Mooney.
How perfect would it be riding out there
OMG those tarp and container shelters are awesome I'd definitely have stuff happening there - even if it was indoor stables and living in the caravan in there and electric (solar) turnout yards/paddocks for the horses next to the shipping for daytime til the ones over near the house were fixed....
With your air strips - you're gonna have neighbours saying 'those weird city folk who moved in out there are nuts - next theyll be bolting those spare wings to their lil black jeep and seeing if it takes off - theyre doing loads of practice up and down the strips with the car as it is'
The rope in the chicken coop is for the feeder. It keeps the feed off the ground so they don't poop in it.
I’m excited for this adventure/journey! I’d love to see weekly videos! It doesn’t have to be finished stuff, just take us along! Your personality’s is really what’s fun! Those dry jokes haha and wet ones haha
love you’re going “All in” on RUclips, you have YEARS of content fixing up the air ranch ✅ I still suggest figuring out what’s essential, such as water & shelter, and focusing on those projects first.. then you can at least live their without having to leave for essentials 😉
BTW, was thinking if you’re in the middle of nowhere, Internet access will be very important, especially since you’ll need to upload more often, 2 providers come to mind, if you’re in range of T-Mobile, they have their “Home Internet Service” for $50/month, the other is of course SpaceX’s StarLink, they just lowered the equipment cost to $299 (from $599), the monthly service is higher, however, it’s much faster and more reliable than T-Mobile ✅
Loving the humour, can't wait to see your progress. 🤩
@ 8:07, that cone looks like a MD80 tailcone. Worked on many of them.
OMG! Oh Boy! Sitting out in the middle of nowhere! Good Luck!
Great buy, planes and equipment. Hardest thing is to combat dust and sand everywhere. Last episode, baby rattler may have siblings and momma in there. Least you have well. How did you find such a gem?
Amazing place, I love it.
I love too, your wife's response to your question, do you feel overwhelmed."
I'm really looking forward to seeing what you do with the place!
At least we know what you can do with the huge piles of solar panels you had stacked in the old shop 👍👍👍👍
the best is the house in the ground, protects from cold and heat, you want to get some cats, most effective for rodents and rattlers, around well before new panels install, you want to place some containers to block wind and also in those areas a challenge to find a reliable work crew. Also dry air needs to intercept with effective humidifier, VERY BEST.
Every time it rains it's Grader Time!
Yep. "Airstrip closed for monsoon season"... 😋
You have years of fun content ahead!!! I am so happy for you guys.
Off the the store to buy two tanks of propane and a heater.
Check the roof before the next rain .
We going to enjoy this 10 year plan.
Some reason I got unsubscribed but glad this came back on my feed. Great news yall… best wishes!
