When Dolly Parten wrote this song to Porter Wagner it was a tribute to him for the years that he let her grow musically onvhis tv show. She came on as a young country singer and had grown into a more versatile singer. Not a romantic song but love of friends and former colaborator in writting and singing songs together.

Cool ending. Would've been really cool if he went all the way rock with his interpretation to avoid sounding too close to Whitney's version, like how Chris Cornell covered Billie Jean. It would be refreshing to hear newer takes on Dolly's original version too, sometimes.
