That guy also has an amazing story. Won Swedish idol in 2009. Auditioned with 18 and Life with Skid Row and won it all.
He was singer after that in the swedish hardrock band Heat.
During that time he played a role in Jesus Christ Superstar on Broadway with John Legend and Alice Cooper.
A couple of years ago he left Heat and wanted to do something else in his Life but became sick in leukemia.
He battled the dieses and came out as a winner.
Then his favorit band Skid row contacted him and he became a member. They released an album and tour the world.
Erik left skid row a couple of months ago due to his immune system has been weak after the sickness.
He felt he couldnt hold the band back whenever he became cold and sick when they toured. 😊
AMAZING!! 🇸🇪
Bra Jobbat Erik!
The Most Powerful Version Ever!!
When I heard that this was a rock version of "I Will Always Love You", I kept waiting for the beat to drop and for the craziness to start. Instead, it stayed sweet for a while and then he broke out the power rock voice. And he did the key change so beautifully. This is one of the most awesome performances I have ever heard.
I would say, most rock and metal singers have an extremely good vocal control and vocal ability.
They can sing anything, high and low, and it doesn't sound stupidly flat as when pop artists try to sing power metal.
Erik Grönwall is epicly good.
Erik is Amazing.
Ah, he’s so great 😍🙌🏻. Much love from Sweden 🇸🇪💜!
Erik has alot of cover on his youtube channel of alot of diffrent songs everything from rock to this :) he is amazing
He has an amazing voice. Dolly Parton has made many Millions on others singing her song.
Agree, but the others made a few dollars too singing her song..
If you wanna hear another swede with a great voice, do Tommy johansson. Ex-lead guitarist from Sabaton. He drops a new cover every friday. He has even done one with Eric. Try Shes gone.
Agreeeee......She`s Gone

Låt oss lyssna på Erik🤘🤘🤘
Amazing!!!!
Rock/metal singers are often better than most pop singers. You need to explore metal/rock even more. You will discover vocalists that will blow your mind.
You should react to Carolus Rex a Sabaton-cover with Erik Grönwall and Tommy Johansson that is really good.
Vilken röst 🥰
He's good, right up there with Whitney's version. I can see Dolly now watching this. With a little giggle, "my little song"....She is so amazing and generous and has always had praise for anyone singing her music...
And this is pure unmixed voice.
Amazing, loved it
Erik really nailed the song "that no man can sing". Excellent version, Whitney must look at him from the muscial heaven and have a big smile on her face.
He's on another level
Erik became famous winning Swedish Idol 2009 . Then he was a lead vocalist of the band HEAT. Then he got sick of leukaemia and survived it. Skid Row actively recruited him as a lead vocalist in 2022 and recorded a great album with him called The Gang’s All Here , their best since Slave to the grind. He left Skid Row because his health was still fragile from the cancer despite he is cancer free. Heavy touring exhausted him. He is taking it slow now doing covers.
I would say this is the best version ever… 🎉🎉
Great reaction.
Other covers made by Erik you don't want to miss are
headless cross - Black Sabbath
Painkiller - Judas Priest
Without you - Mariah Carey
God will cut you down - Jonny Cash
And his own country song sex on the beach from the wheel of foreTUNES
I felt that song in my soul.
I just wonder how low he can go. He hits those high notes with ease
I dont think these guys are even in the same room. I wonder who put down the first track?
Check out his cover of Johnny Cash's "God will cut you down" for his low notes.
I really love his take on this song.
You guy’s should check out Dolly Parton singing this. She actually wrote this song for her friend when she was moving on from his tv variety type show.
I really ❤ Erik's covers. His voice is fantastic. Discovered him from the song he sang with Dan Vasc another great vocalist. Also ❤ Tommy J from Sweden. Tommy sings but he can play multiple instruments. My days are better with a little music. ❤ from a 🇨🇦 Grammy.
He is the best
WOW! 🔥
Erik is pure Magic ❤🥰❣🇸🇪
FYI guys, Whitney Houston’s version is a cover. The song was already about 18 years old when she recorded it. It was originally written and recorded by Dolly Parton in the 1970s. In fact Elvis wanted to cover it but his manager insisted that he get a writing credit. Dolly said no way. Elvis did not write any of his songs but his manager got him writing credit on several of them. The song writer would agree because they figured that if Elvis sang their song it might be a hit.
Erik rules❤️
Another just amazing swedish artist.
WOW Erik Grønnwall and u TWO are in to it
Thanks for reacting, awesome!

Erik is great. Shame his health is holding him back from touring. First got my attention playing Simon in NBC’s live Jesus Christ Superstar. Amazing! Great talent and seems like a really good guy too.
Considering it was written and recorded by Dolly Parton
Erik stepped down from Skid Row to focus on his health after being diagnosed with leukemia. He has a few solo works he has released He did a cover of a Johnny Cash Song called God's Gonna Guy You Down and Dream On By Aerosmith
Dolly Parton! Go Erik, nice cover
Try his covers of alone , without you , and take on me
whitney is also a cover, give credit where credit is due
I thought Phil was looking good these days and Sam looked especially buff - then I realized they've just switched sides on our screens.
He's mostly a classic heavy metal singer and they always sing in this range.
Yes. The carolus rex with Tommy Johansson. It's just amazing! Know you guys like Tommy😊
Nothing beats good sax.
Check out the band h.e.a.t. from sweden, and he also was the lead singer of Skid Row for a couple of years.
In older rock/metal (70's/80's) it wasn't to unusual for the singers to go really high, like for example Ronnie James Dio from Rainbow and Dio (and a stint in Black Sabbath) or Rob Halford from Judas Priest.
Why did you two switch sides? Didn't think we'd notice? Trying to confuse us?
Woha Good reaction !,time to check out Tommy J , why dont start with Eric and Tommys duett ..
Please listen to Journey’s song Lay It Down with the one and only Steve Perry! The notes he hits on this song are crazy!
The wild part is I think he actually sounds like Whitney Houston during some segments o.O
See his collage with DAB vask
Try Tommy Johansson... Ex-Sabaton guitarist. musical jack-of-all-trades. if you liked this, you'll love him.
Check his cover of Painkiller by Judas Priest. Or his stuff as a vocalist of Skid Row.
I will always love you.putri ariani malaysia concert
Sam is on the left side on the screen!!!!!! shiish that put me off
100% better than Whitney!!!
This is a Dolly Parton song. Her version is the best!!
This is also the Whitney Houston arrangement!! Don't forget that part.
there can do all opera there traint singers
Dolly Parton wrote it but whitney made it big.
And Dolly made a lot of money. ❤ Dolly
This dude just kicked whitney's ass out of the water. lol omg.
Mid tier Swedish singer...its in our blood...
The sound in the room you speak in sounds like it looks like. It echoes since you have nothing on the walls and no furniture. You should fix that for a better sound.
