So you no longer recommend HDR under water? I just got my Hero 12 and am hoping to go snorkeling on my upcoming vacation next week. What settings do you recommend now?
Correct. HDR is more meant for land, specifically during sunny days. Underwater I film in 4K60, wide, sharpness on high, white balance adjusted to add a little more red, and iso max at 800

The more I've tested HDR underwater the more I realize it's not the best option for underwater video. So I would not recommend it for underwater video
