    I love your in depth reviews of brushes! I recognize these eye brushes are too large for my eyes and preference, but that doesn’t stop me from appreciating them from afar. 😅 Sonia G’s craftsmanship and attention to detail is *chef’s kiss*! I’m still saving up for some pieces from her Fusion and Fundamental collections.

    I had to come back again and re-watch - I bought the select set off your recommendation, and have been using them for a while. LOVE! I have mature hooded eyes and these may be the best I’ve tried yet. That’s saying something; my brush collection is getting quite large! I’ve been trying to improve my technique with my eyes - I think this may be what I needed. Thanks so much Alicia - you are one of my top faves, along with these brushes! A talented artist you are. 🎨 ❤

    Brilliant and thorough as usual. Your “geek” review combined with tutorials always closes the deal for me! These brush makers should give you more than a random comp product. At least, as far as I’m concerned for Sonja G, Chikuhodo, and Hakuhodo, and various fude brands, I have spent thousands of dollars based on your videos. You are the absolute bomb! ❤

    Hi Alicia, I love all of your brush videos, especially the Sonia G reviews! For the first time, I delved into the world of Sonia G and bought her entire Fundamental Eye Series over the holiday 2023. And I love that set for eyeshadow application. Can you do a video comparing some the Fundamental Eye Series brushes to her new Keyaki Traditions Eye Set? I'd like to see the differences to determine if I should pick up any of these new brushes. Thanks a bunch! ❤

    OOoof where should I begin ?? I was waiting for this video with bated breath ,,, as soon as I saw these brushes I literally got goose bumps 😩💕💕😍😱😭 I was immediately in utter love ! How does she out due herself ?? HOW >??? I had passed on the OG holiday trio set (ugh I regret it now) but I'm trying to have the mentality that "hey you can't have it all" ,,, so when I saw that she created these brushes with those HANDLES 😱 I was like lord it was meant to be ! then I saw the shapes and the dye ?? ugh ! I did get the mt Fuji brush,,, I literally didn't care about the price I knew I was getting these ! I was gifted these by my love as an early bday gift; as my 50th birthday approaches in February ❤ I also thought about you Alicia when I saw that stunning t6 😍 but that t5 ,,,,ugh !! its the OG MAC 217 of my dreams ! I love how Sonia G reinvents herself and continues to fill in the gaps.... it's extraordinary ! these brushes are special, amazing and exquisite and I'm honesty honored to have them ! I'm also very happy she's offering these individually as well 👌🥰 I can't wait ti try them and I know all my other Sonia G brushes are already crying because I know these will be used the most often !! I left this similar feedback on her IG page; Sonia G is so easy to love and support; as she is so incredibly humble and grateful and she really appreciated my feedback ❤ oh and Ive had my metropolis palette on standby to use; I need to use these babies and recreate your look ! long ass comment but this is too much and too exciting ! xoxo

    This review was so helpful! The detailed breakdowns and comparisons are the best I've seen among brush reviewers. I finally pulled the trigger on my first Sonia G order, my first time getting any fude brushes, and I've only just started using them and they are an absolute game changer. I wonder if she plans on releasing a Keyaki Kakishibu Traditions Face set, because this set is aesthetically my favorite so I would LOVE that.

    Alicia this was a PHENOMENAL demo of each brush in action!! So grateful Sonia G & the Beautylish team gifted you a set to review for us. Seeing the brushes in action really helped put into context Sonia’s description of the brushes from her blog alongside your own insights and use cases. I love T1, T2, T5 and T6 the most for my eyes and preferences, and appreciate that the price as a bundle or single is the same so I can pick and choose as needed.
    I don’t have many Sonia G brushes but started collecting them when she released her second mini keyaki set bc I love the wooden handles 🥰
    I also LOVE persimmon dyed brush tips so this collection is a match made in heaven for me 😍
    I was lucky enough to get the holiday brush set this year and look forward to grabbing these closer to my birthday 🥰
    P.S. By any chance will you be reviewing the holiday squirrel set as well? xx

  • @tigerskatemom
    @tigerskatemom Год назад +1

    Thank you for the excellent review Alicia. It is very helpful and very educational. These brushes are my second favorites. The first are last year's traditions set - that set had lighter dyed handles, which showed the garin of the wood better and the whole set just looks like very high level fude with beautiful wood grain. Plus the squirel hair! Omg, it is divine for the aging eyes. But I really like the new traditions 3 set too. I got all brushes except of the biggest one and I'm still debating on getting it or not. I'm afraid it will move my eyelids skin too much and I don't think with this dyed hair I want to use it for concealer.

    • @aliciaarcher
      @aliciaarcher  Год назад +1

      You technically can, but I understand the apprehension if you apply concealer everyday day. Perhaps good for pinpoint under eye powdering, and higher nose bridge contouring. If you decide to still buy it!

    • @tigerskatemom
      @tigerskatemom Год назад

      @@aliciaarcher I wil probably end up buying it because I'm a 🤡 and I like collecting all the brushes from the sets that I like 😂 I just won't use it for creams because I want to keep that beautiful orange color on the bristles as long as possible. I will probably use it as a highlight brush or as an under eye setting powder brush. I still wish Sonia would make wood grain more showing on the handles 😢

    Soo. I am excited to pick up Traditions 3 from this set, plus Classic Crease and Soft Shader from the Sky set for my birthday in March. 😊❤ First time trying Natural hair brushes and I feel these sizes and shapes will work well for my smaller, hooded eyes according to Sonia's blog. I am in need of new brushes that are softer and will last longer. Especially with my current synthetic ones beginning to get scratchy.

    I would love to take a workshop learning to make brushes. Of course, my brushes would be terrible, but I am such a nerd about traditional craftsmanship. Like the time I decided to grow Japanese indigo, to dye silk with traditional Japanese techniques. There is something about experiencing the creative process of the things that I love. I'm in the US Southeastern states and so tempted to take up terracotta pottery hahahha. I am a mess.
