We all know the next video. LOCKER FOR THE PATROL! And fixing the 80s winch 🤣🤣
Yup, and I’m here for it
And the dent repairs on the gq probably
It's has to be
Good call Pat. Irrespective on what track it is, if you're not comfortable, best decision is to not do it. And anyone who gives someone a hard time for turning back aren't the people you want to be with when 4WDing. Remember, you also need your vehicles to take you back home. Maybe it's time to rethink your current rig setup if you're going to do more hard wheeling moving forward. From a tourer to a wheeler. Put the 80 on a strict diet. 😁
Don’t get sucked into smashing up your cars just to make content 👍🏻 onya boys love all your content
This is the first show I watch every Sunday morning 👍
best part of the week
For us it's midnight 😂 still, will watch it now 👍🇮🇪
Thanks guys! 😁
@@piotrprokop7210how did u find Aussie arvos?
Good that you took the wise decision. The sad part is I grew up nearby, and we used to drive those tracks in cars and trucks for work cutting timber for pit props for the local underground mines. So, in a way, it makes me sad to see those tracks in the conditions they are , and makes me feel for the rural fire services that have to try and negotiate when called upon .
I know exactly where you were on your first night camp at the Watagans. I too have camped there and the view never gets old. But sadly I always find rubbish left behind by campers with bad behaviour. It baffles me that it still happens in this day and age. Rarely do I camp these days without cleaning up rubbish left by others. ☹☹
Yeah, I too know that camp site, and on weekdays, it's almost a guarantee that no one else will be there. And sadly I too have arrived seeing rubbish left behind, or bottles/cans in the firepit. Truly disappointing behaviour by others.
@@fatmanoverlanding how do you get there?? been looking everywhere for that spot
Anyone else notice the tyre pressures. The GME GQ tyres barely looked lower than road pressure.
I think he’s a sales guy first and foremost. Tyres pressures would be someways down the list
He would be pretty light compared to the boys with all their touring gear.
I was running 15psi in the front and 13psi in the rear. The car is light. And I’m in Marketing, not Sales.
@@t000nz must be light truck tyres with heavy duty side walls. The GQ coils can I run on Razr MTs balloon out a lot more at 18psi. Similar rig with just a spare tyre on the tray.
@@t000nz that being said it could just be the camera and angles
It was good having Tony with you as he has a fair bit of of off road experience.I’m not a patrl fan but his car is a weapon
Excellent. Good to see Tony on here and shows what you have to pay to play. Impressed with the 80, Patrick and how you tackled the bumps. The views over your Newcastle were amazing. Great content and a few scrapes for memories and next episodes. Thanks!
Cool to see Tony over here. Good on you for feeling like you could bail out when needed, one of the things I like about this channel is it's not over the top. Cool way to level up skills but there's plenty of other tough tracks channels out there breaking shit.
Tony's laugh every time there is a huge wheel life. The boys 'Oh gawd' tony HAHAHA
Love The Watagans but you can keep those hard tracks. I love exploring that place but I avoid those tracks, I don't fancy the damage to my vehicle. Great video though guys.
All i can say is that GME must LOVE Tony ahaha #sendit
With that circlip that came off the Warn 8274 shaft. Circlips are directional & the sharp side of the circlip should go to the side you don't want it to push off. If you look closely at them one side is rounded edges one side is sharp edged. There is a mod for that shaft that stops that from happening.
The boys will learn more with that type of help good job
Awesome video and choices. Your content is at least as good as (if not better than) the best 4WD channels. Plus a fantastic call out about respecting camp sites, burning/taking rubbish. Let's keep these tracks and camps open. Again, awesome video. 👍👍👍👍👍
Yep.
The wattigans has two levels, tourist and 37” double locked.
The locals destroy tracks and vehicles real fast.
The tourists I often go up the hill and rescue them.
Funniest one was a new Subaru forester with the headlights underwater.
Yeah, the Wattigans is close to me, but I honestly haven't spent a lot of time there because everything is either graded fire trails, or completely chewed up comp tracks, there's very few regular difficulty tracks. I remember when Green Break Road WAS a beginner track, and the hardest part was getting over the log at the start, now look at it.
@@KarlEller yep and behind the hospital is just as bad, wombat holes, wash always you can stand in the bottom of or deep mud pits.
There are a couple of tracks between the wattigans and my sugarloaf that I’ve taken the bike through but won’t try by myself.
You lads need to decide if you want rock crawlers or overland vehicles!!
Did GME give you some sick radios??
Hey guys, check out kinetic snatch ropes for your recovery's. The OG snatch straps you used force a lot of stress through your chassis. Where as kinetic ropes are more elastic.
Much safer for the older rigs 🤙✌️
I think Paddy's winch is going to need more than a new paint job to fix that😂😂, if Liam gets a locker or two he will be unstoppable, good ep boys, both vehicles did well, even the Toyota Elephant got through, I'm starting to wonder where the third Musketeer (Dan) is, we never see him, don't tell me his rig is only a Mall crawler😁 ?
The patrol got some dents on it, is a real 4WD 😂👍
Tony sure knows how to send it
I love the Watagans, it's my go to place.
My previous two 4wds (96 Jackaroo and 02 Hilux) got me through these tracks but I'm now willing to risk my 2012 Colorado on the tough tracks!
There are so many tracks to choose from that suit whatever you drive! I still get out there and enjoy just exploring and enjoy the scenery.
There are plenty of places to enjoy camping overnight, some with incredible views or secluded subtropical rainforest.
The great part is that they aren't too far from my home!
That ARB fridge copped a workout on old mates tray. 🍺😁
How did you like them wheel lifts on Wishing Well. It’s my fav part of that ‘warm up’ track. Green Break is possible - just go along the side track at the beginning and the rest is heaps of fun. Good on you guys for taking on the Watagans.
Great experience for you guys as it really highlights your rigs limitations and knowing when to turn around. Great lessons to be learned here. Paddy, your old girl needs a diet and sorry about the panel damage. It is gut wrenching when it happens.
loving the harder content! great to see you guys pushing the cars! might be time for the 80 to go on a bit of diet!? little bit of creative packing. shed a few kgs and i think youll see it in how it drives. the patrol needs lockers without a doubt though. and some reductions wouldnt go astray either
Did that track 10 years single cab HiLux 4” lsd front an back with a 308 v8 but that track has definitely been well use now
Good call not pushing your luck on greens break Rd. Well done lads
You know it’s about to get serious when the guide struggles ahahahah
Patty, your face when you jumped back in after seeing your panel damage brought back memories 😢 I felt the pain!
12:39 thought you were winching off Tony's arms 😂
guys, awesome views and scenery again.some pretty rugged tracks out there. cool to see you trying more difficult stuff, and learning as you go. as liam said nothing wrong with taking chicken track,or changing plans. discretion is the better side f valor. i can honestly say there are tracks i would not even consider.paddy wasnt going to let them hills beat him and i laughed when liam said, paddy is angry. a little car damage is better than injury keep safe.again an awesome video.👍
Campfire Cooking with Liam 😀
Welcome to the Watagans. My old stomping ground and has plenty for all 4WDERS. Steve
8274 needs a upgrade. Its very common to have that problem.
Bit of bar work and lockers allround in the future i suspect
Can someone describe or tell me where that first camp spot was! It’s gorgeous and I want to explore and find that place. If there is any pointers I’d appreciate it!! Great video i think this is what 80% of people want to see and enjoy
The watagans can be very unforgiving. Large place with a tonne of tracks. Heaven for a fella who wants to doing some extreme off-road
Hey guys!
Great channel!
Mind doing a review on lithium 4wd tyre inflators? Tired of having to pop the bonnet and drag out all the cables. Thanks!
Im from the hunter valley i know all the tracks and all the spots up there. You should take a look and the old sugarloaf tracks where the old train tunnels are. Also the watagans that your in if you went in on freemans side they have a test track there which is kinda awesome. Hopefully you did the killi loop while you were down this way
Dude, Tony sounds identical to Jase Macalpine from Gyspy Tales 😅
Good psa on keeping the tracks clean boys! Nothing worse than seeing rubbish all over our beautiful country.
I also started with a Pajero and now own a 80 series I love your vids
Hey.
Great show as usual.
Lots of shots of my home in that video.
The track around the 20 minute mark looks like Farrells Rd. The start where GME got stuck was always the hardest. And about 2 thirds the way up it gets gnarly again.
that 80 needs a full redo far out its looking rough
That was some great driving there. Really is easier with a specialised vehicle though. Looks like there is a bit of work to do on the cars.
Your vehicles are not built for that sh*t. All you'll end up doing is breaking them.
The 80 is a beast
Are you 2 brothers ? I’ve just recently started following 😊
Happy trails, Cowpokes
Great day boys, definitely need to get back out there again soon 👊🏻
When are the lockers coming Liam, love your work boys
Nice.. take it or leave it.👏🏻🤙🏼🤙🏼
I do enjoy these types of channels and content...once you sift through the crap and find the good ones....you get channels that literally spoon feed you BS you need this you need that its a must to get out....even though these guys have sponsors there not forcing products down our throats every minute they get a chance too....I like to see for myself what I need what I want my wish list through watching good honest videos without the hype, BS and fakery of some channels...
Agree, Ronny is one of those channels, and 24 / 7, these boys keep it real
@@-PORK-CHOP- na I find those 2 channels are ones that are product slamming Princess 👸
Alright Patty chop the 80😅
Nice one again boys, thank you
Love the videos love watching you guys 👍
So funny seeing these boys actually do some real four wheeling for a change, not just being on fire trails.
hard there utes need some serious help. that 80 is a shambles
How’s the stretcher / swag combo going Liam ?
Love your work guys !
no wonder the tracks are so eroded.... Tony's been unnecessarily shredding them up
Can confirm I am not responsible for erosion.
Looking forward to the winch rebuild. Show us how it exploded 😅
When in doubt, always opt out!
Good to see you guys knowing your limits 😂
Good work fellas
I saw the first clip and I said holy sh!t
Great video guys
Poked my 4bis noise into Watagans once and spent 3.5 hours trying to winch back out lol she a hard place 😅
Good efforts guys
sick vid tho!
I always enjoy the content of your video's and understand the content you provide has to cater to a large audience. The thing I liked the most was your video's were not the same as another offroad channel where it seems to be the same crap every week. Please don't follow suit.
100% agree. Guy's, you've let down a majority of your viewers I feel, viewers wanting that crap can tune into 24/7.
Guy's, you have to ask,
1. Do I really need to go there?
2. Is my vehicle capable of it?
3. Am I capable of it?
Screw the embarrassment!!
Answer to 1st question was obviously "NO", as no reason to continue.
If the obstacle was amidst a must do trail to get to a destination, then question 2 comes into play etc.
I've a capable GU tourer set up but I also have the desire to reliably drive it day in & day out, as you guys should be considering as you first priority being so far from home.
I'm not a whowser, I've had my fun but not in my every day tourer, had a purpose built Zook for difficult play, easily recovered if all failed, however always drove it out, often with smirks on our dials, haha.
Looking forward to your more reserved approach in future episodes.
Regards, Wealie.
Sometimes battle scars are good
So, we gonna see a weight loss program for the 80?
Love it boys👌
Some of the hardest wheeling yous have done but it’s the easiest 3 tracks at wattos 😂😅
Great vid, will you and your cars be at the Melbourne 4x4 show?
Yes they will!
Shit yere those SUV'S are awesome.
my mate got up greens break in a unlocked gu on 35s, first line is the only sketch part. should've taken the chicken track up first bit. you guys underestimate the capability of your 4x4s
Yea, I really think they sold themselves short on this one. I went up greens break a few weeks ago in my 4runner which is only on 33s, 2 inch lift with an open diff. other than that first line, rock packing was all we needed to get up.
The first hill the nissan climbed...maybe try next gear
THAT WAS #SICK# ✔️✔️💯💯
Very expensive illness.
Try 24/7.
Hey mate. How’s the 270 mounted too the rtt?
Ya mate knows how to flog da shit out of a vehicle 😂
She loves it.
Get lockers on the patrol
Thats the issue with some spots n tracks, some people have grown up with very little respect and common sense/logic its sad tho as we should be able to share spots etc and enjoy it all 🤷♂️
Surprised tony isnt running treps or something like that for these types of tracks, hats off to pat tho id do the same thing 👌
Sadly you have to pay to play. None of us want to damage our trucks but it happens
Time for a repaint if the 80 perhaps
take some weight off the 80 taj mahal and she would probably have some capability, things got all the gear but no idea
ooohNaur....
haha you aussie boi
And in the next episode of might car mods, Dan does dent pulling
Why is it whenever you make a car look good you follow it with panel damage.
Can't go offroad without some cosmetic sacrifices, no matter how careful you are.
Do you reckon old mate likes gme 😂😂
Hyper radio enthusiast
❤
"this track wouldn't be hard with twin lockers"
Jesus mate, don't get too ahead of yourself lol
Definitely need to put that fat 80 on weight watchers!😅
Yeah I think those tracks are best suited for purpose built 4wds not touring vehicles, twin locked/35's/winches,b ready 4 damage to your 4wd, makes entertaining viewing though, my ifs hi lux on 31's would just turn around and go home, rubbish left behind is now an epidemic
Man tony gq seen some real abuse
That’s what it was built for 😉
HAs there battery exploded yet?
Please don't turn into a dents for views channel like we know who. Buggering up your daily for the sake of competing with rock crawling comp trucks is not what I come to this channel for.
Good work on the production of content and I'm sure you guys had fun but it gets extremely expensive. The very reason I boycott those tossers.
Especially with a GQ and 80, there's only so many of them on the road left. Not everyone can afford to chop and import and custom fab entire rigs like some channels lol
More dents more memories
Your poor cars 😭
Not sure about belting your touring rigs up that stuff 🤦🏻♂️
