I've been watching your videos since you started and it encouraged me to go camping with my family. We would sit down in our living room television and just watch your videos in the evenings after work. We learned a lot from you and it was the best memories I have of my wife and 3 kids. We would camp every weekend. Things changed and now I'm divorcing after 11 years. 3 kids. Sucks. Haven't watched your videos since about 7 months, since we separated. Your video touched my heart, brought me back memories, when I would sit with my family to watch your videos. Now I'm alone, my truck hasn't seen dirt, snow. It's hard to do those things with out the special people, you experienced it with.

Just found your channel through my dad’s recommendation. You are living my absolute dream, and your camera work is just on a totally different level. Keep it up, I’ll be watching literally every single one of your videos in the meantime
You have such a high standard in your videos and yet time after time you impress and raise the bar higher. Thank you and I feel fortunate to be able to watch week after week.
You should make a video showing exactly how you plan routes, how you find them, and generally your thought process when finding a spot. If you have a vid like that, I’ll look for it!
Great videography👍🏼⭐️,,, looks like you’re eating real good out there so you better get out of that truck and start hauling ass on some sweat producing hikes🤣
Living in Oregon we have an abundance of Hot springs! My favorite trip planning is incorporating hot springs along our trips! It’s always my favorite and the rest of the families as well!
At 1 hour 20 minutes you were describing what you were seeing and feeling in that moment, l call those perfect moments and treasure every single one of them. That point in time when everything is perfect for you, could be time of the day, temperature, location color of the sky, etc. or some combination of things. When it happens, you’ll know, because it will touch your heart and soul. They never last very long, and don’t come very often, but when they do it’s pure magic…..take care Brother
Not overly cinematic or overloaded either drone shots, shows actual trail shows and views from within the cab, has a smooth voice and a realistic rig. Nice.
Wow... at about the 14-minute mark when you were tending the fire and the drone went up, I immediately got goosebumps as the scenery unfolded. For some reason, with the landscape and the music, I immediately thought of the movie Jeremiah Johnson. Your photography work is amazing. 👍
The more I watch your videos, the more inspired I become to go camping. Your use of drones and your cinematographic vision are truly remarkable. I hope that one day our paths will cross at a camping site!!!
I’m only 22 minutes in and I can’t believe the effort that went into this. Breaking trail with no footprints to cam?? The drone ahead, behind, above??? Unreal edit as well. Great job Kevin!!! -Mike @ReMotorcycle
What a great video. Love watching your videos and inspiration. I couldn’t decide between a 4Runner or gx… so I got a 4th gen 4runner with a v8 and am in love. Your videos make me want to hit the trails that much faster. Have a great new years!!!
That was an awesome movie, much better than what is on TV!!! I have a 2016 Trail Premium with a few goodies. I also love horses, so this was my two favorites together!!! I bet that those horses watched you from a distance. That was so cool the send off they gave you! I'm guessing they could sense you didn't mean them harm. Horses are like that! GREAT VIDEO!!!
The Lonesome Dove series is spectacular! I hope you enjoyed it. It’s one I’ve started recommending to everyone. So much better than the mini-series and spinoffs. What an amazing place to listen to it.
I absolutely loved this video. I'll say this brother, to see a badger that close up, then right after, Mustangs, and than a Bald Eagle.........all in epic scenary, all I have to say is God Bless America!
I get off work and turn on RUclips and leave your channel running in the background, as i unwind, relax and listen to the music and your commentary , loving the videos man. Thanks for the good times . Hopefully I can experience this one day
Good tip for the weekend warrior to avoid trails in areas that are muddy from the winter thaw. No need to create deep ruts or widening of trails to avoid the muddy parts. You should be driving an off road vehicle, mud won't hurt it, if it is too deep, turn around and enjoy the trail on a different day . This is part of the reason some trails gets closed. Encourage smart trail etiquette to keep the trails open. Beautiful scenery, very surreal. Thanks for sharing.
What is sad is I just got back from an amazing trip to the Canadian Rockies and you captured more snow than I did! Absolutely love your videos but you have convinced me no RTT...dealing with the overnight snow looks like a pain. I'll stick with sleeping in the back of my 4Runner looking at awesome views while I watch your videos looking at amazing scenery out of your RTT...NATURE OVERLOAD IN THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!!!😂🤣😁
Beautiful photos love the Drone it really was nice to see fluffy snow all over and on the trees music is beautiful love the songs the words are touching to the heart wish I could get an album very peaceful
There were quite a few off road campers that had their rigs caught under 20ft of snow after getting stuck in the first few storms of last winter's epic season. Most of them had found their rigs in late July when they were finally thawed out with blow out windows/roofs/suspension. Pretty crazy
I have watched your family grow and all your epic trips .What a awesome life . I love the Mountains and snow ,I would love to live up north .South Africa done with Africa been here my entire life .Have a awesome day .Chilling Cape Town
This was a seriously awesome vid. I live in the mountains and I've never really experienced the desert. In the winter it sure takes on a whole other level of awesomeness. You've just gained a new subscriber.
Another great video, sometimes you can't beat getting out there by yourself. Now I need to make some SOS, I have great memories of my papa making it when we went camping when I was young.
I used to feel kinda weird that I fantasize about leaving everyone to go camp in the mountains by myself but videos like this and the comments let me know its a pretty common male fantasy lol
Just finished the movie and wanted to add, so happy the steak didn't plummet to the dirt! But if it had, at least it would have been possible to salvage it from clean snow this time. 😄
Love your videos, especially now since I am a new owner of a 2015 4runner. You are doing a great job at filming your locations. And its nice to see you out with your family. Hoping in the future I will be overlanding as well. Keep up the great work.
Haaaa! That’s what winter look like. Not arrived yet up here (Southern QC)! We barely start to go under 0 c. We now use paper plate when we travel light like this. Doing dishes for 3-4 people that’s ok for me but for 2, to much work lol. Very nice episode Kevin 👍🏻
Wow, what a treat indeed. All those Mustangs out in God's country, just doing Mustang things. I might have to try the chip dip out. Besides the cast iron pans, I have been using a Seth McGinns CanCooker Jr for years for camp stews & more. Easy to clean, lightweight, and can be used for many types of cooking. Can even bake cornbread and cake in one. Made in KC MO.
My grandpa severed in ww2. Grandma used to make sos all the time. I make it at least once a month for my girls. Cut up some boiled eggs and add a big spoon of chicken better than bouillon and will step it up a notch. Oh yeah add some butter on the toast and you won’t be disappointed.
My mother taught me how to make sos with potatoes cut them in 4th boil them then cook some hamburger meat then the milk flour or pioneer country gravy mix. No toast
Instead of a rooftop tent, a hot tent on the ground could be more practical perhaps? Perhaps a little more work to set it up but afford more warmth in snowy/inclement weather.
Next time that you know you’ll hit icy conditions like that, spray some WD-40 or cooking oil in your wheel wells to reduce the sticking! Love the efforts put forth in the production of your videos. *Also glad to see another wear insulated muck boots for winter time activities. Under appreciated piece of clothing/protection.
@LifestyleOverland, Kevin, to what level was Sarah jealous that you were able to enjoy the multi-temp hot spring w/o her? 🤔🤔 LOVE S.O.S.! I’ve got a question for you, good sir. I’m about to go on a few month long voyage in my GX. Roofnest and overland ready(jealous you can fit your pillow and bags in yours, my falcon 2 barely closes with the stock mattress😂) My question for you is…what is your purpose when you are out there? To enjoy the passing of time in nature? I’m worried I might get bored sitting around all day even with books and stuff. I’m considering doing what you seem to be doing and just packing up camp each morning and exploring/finding a new spot. Any thoughts? I know you’ve done this a lot.
Hey Kev, as always great great work. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. No surprise, your vids always touch the heart in the sincere and meditative way. Curious, how do you like the Roofnest Falcon I noticed you rocking? How’d it hold up in the wet? I just picked up a Falcon myself and it’s my first hardtop coming from a soft shell ARB which held up against some of the toughest conditions I could throw at it here in NM. Haha, the Falcon has me a little worried if I’m honest but I’m curious on your opinion? Keep killing it brother. NM loves ya! 🤙❤️
Winter snow is so beautiful and peaceful. It's like being in a giant outdoor recording studio where all sound is absorbed. The varied geology and history of Utah rivals the best of what my Oregon has to offer, so beautiful! The Mustangs were the best though, since I am a wild horse advocate. I'm glad you got to see them in their natural environment. Great drone work and video footage Kevin, you are rivaling Hollywood in the production department! Some of this video looks strangely familiar though, is this some old footage combined?
I've been watching your videos since you started and it encouraged me to go camping with my family. Love the videos! Long time fan of the channel, you’re the reason why I bought a 4Runner. God bless.
The one man cinematography is better than many 'professional' adventure and car channels.
I really appreciate those kind words 👍

Thanks for the video man. As I lay here recovering from my hip replacement surgery, I can experience the outdoors with you. Great videography work.

Incredible shots!! We appreciate your sacrifice for setting these up. I promise the effort doesn’t go unnoticed. 😂👊🏻
