Hello, great video tutorial! I’m currently bedridden the last 2 years due to bad stage 4 wounds. I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m trying my best from my bed, to do all sorts of self physical therapy. I have an issue that’s been going on, since I’m a complete T-12 paraplegic, and do not have any use or feeling bilaterally, both my legs flare outwards when I’m laying on my back on my bed. I’ve been trying to find a tool/device, that will go around the girth of my thigh, above my knees, and have a handle on it, so I could turn my legs back in to where they are supposed to be normally. Any suggestions of such a medical device? My idea would be something similar to a mechanics special strap wrench, that is used to go around an oil filter of a car, but instead of metal jaws clamping down it has a type of strong nylon belt, but with a hand, so you can turn and loosen/tighten your circular item. Do you understand? I know I’m probably not explaining it well, but if you had any suggestions, I’d be truly grateful. Thank you. Again, I am being very sincere, you have a very nice way of explaining things that some find complicated. Take care.

I’m a little puzzled - I thought your legs aren’t supposed to cross right after surgery. Hence instructions to keep pillow between knees & ankles to sleep.

Hi how can I buy a leather belt leg lifter
My husband just had one hip surgery, but his other leg is very weak as he needs a new hip on that side also. He is wondering how he can get into bed independently with two weak legs. I have to help him even though he uses a leg lifter on his surgical side.
There are several factors that might influence this. The height of the bed relative to his height is one major factor. Making sure the height is easy for manage will help a lot. The other factor will be a rail or bed ladder that might help him use his arms to assist with getting up and down. A good leg lifter will help immensely also!
How to use these after a bilateral total knee replacement?
I’ve had patients use 2 to swing both legs at the same time, but it’s not necessary. You can use 1 lifter and use it to move your legs one at a time.
