I love thrift stores. My mother was alive she used to always be in the book section looking at paper back books. That is one of my warm memories I have of her. I always walk to the electronic section. When I was 12 years old I used to walk straight to see what kind of TVs they had . I'm 62 years old and I still walk straight to the TVs first.

I love going to thrift stores and antiquing, because you never know what you're going to find. It's like a little Adventure, and occasionally you'll find a diamond in the rough, like that one really awesome item that you're just surprised that nobody else has picked it up yet. I've had some really nice finds in my day.

The raised or textured part of the painting is from the palette knife, when designing edges like the rocks. We sometimes highlight areas with lighter paint to stress shadows or lighting effects. I've always used acrylic and oil mixtures, which that could be.

But I went to an art/film school that also ran a haunted house And we would but some stuff that was suitable for a play,a film or the haunted house depending on the scenario . The thrift stores always come in handy for things like that. Especially for wardrobe.

HA! My housemate brought home a pair of meat claws from a thrift store just the other day! He's constantly bringing home thrift store "treasures". It's as if an elderly hoarder woman was re-incarnated into the body of a Puerto Rican man. He's definitely scored some great stuff over the years, but an equal amount of extremely dubious items have found their way into the house too.
I adore these kinds of videos...your sense of humor is fantastic. I am glad that these will no longer be live. It's not that I hate the streaming per se.....it's that usually the entire video is taken up with "Oh hi so and so....oh look, it's so and so." not that you have done this...but it makes videos so hard to pay attention to.
