I understand that thrift stores sell used goods, so the items aren't going to be in the pristine condition one would expect from a store offering all new merchandize, but even a place selling used stuff should have some minimum standard for what's put on the shelf . At the very least if you're asking people to pay money for something, it should be in working condition, and not covered in filth with dead roaches in it.
In my much-younger days (late 1980s) a friend took me to a Value Village in Bellingham Washington so I could get job hunting clothes and some appliances. I bought an old toaster oven that worked great but within a few months had a cockroach inside the glass door (two layers of glass) that had offed himself. Your vid brings back great retro memories for me!

Their employees need to be able to throw more shit away or reject it at the Donation Center. People are not going to buy something that smells awful and is riddled with stains. No amount of disinfecting will make them feel safe enough to use it. Sitting on the shelf rotting away. Savers needs to stop selling literal trash at a huge markup!

As someone who is an avid thrifter i love this so much! Also velo bind is for those books and cookbooks that are spiral bond with plastic, my mom worked in a printing/Bindary in the 90's.

This is really great that you did this Thrift Shop video. Most people do shopping videos that you know kind of more expensive places. I wish more people would do the thrift shopping videos like you did. I mean it's great that people want to go to TJ Maxx and Ross Dress for Less but let's be realistic. We want to help the problem and not make it worse. Thrift shopping is the best because you can take an item that someone didn't want and use it if you like it. That way you're not buying something brand new and making more of a problem. I know it's great to buy brand new stuff but like sometimes for me more than most places thrift shopping is the way to go it's like recycling something that someone thought wasn't great and now you find it as an awesome item. It's super great. I love cactus stuff because they are cool. I love it.

you should try the Vampa vampire museum, they are in Doyestown PA ( east pa ) It's a real glitch in the matrix and it's got some amazing furniture, You need a life size bronze giraffe? Tough, they sold it but they have tons of other really weird stuff. plus you can go to the vampire museum when you're done shopping. Or you can go to restore it's a furniture only thrift place but they usually have nice stuff.
