I work for a thrift store and believe me, that stuff wouldn't even be allowed through the back door. We either refuse to take it or we throw it out. We can't generate money for our nonprofit organization selling shit.
I was on my way to a show in Frederick, and I saw a beautiful memorial set up on Fort Armistead Road. There was a large group of people there mourning those that were lost. It was surreal, because the rest of the world is moving on and their families are still in that moment. - Eric ~ Totally Stoked.
The container ship actually warned the port authority or who is responsible and they closed the bridge for traffic so two cars/vans and a truck just made it across and then they hit it. Sadly it was too late for the workers... 🕯
As someone who likes to ship spot in Puget Sound, it's INSANE how big the Dali is compared to that bridge. And the Dali isn't even the biggest of the big!
Well, Dan -- we appreciate you giving us a few minutes of the Key Bridge from your perspective. Considering you mentioned during your last Saturday drive how you've driven over it countless times, it's understandable how much of a shock seeing it in the water is.
The Belvedere is beautiful and very Gothic looking. It doesn't surprise me that the parking lot would be haunted especially with the what happened Ray Rivera and I'm sure it has a long history. I lived right near a hospital parking lot and could see it from my window on the fifth floor. I saw some strange things at night including a dark figure running at top speed at four in the morning. I could tell it was actually someone in there as they went out of view when they past a beam. I think it might have been a ghost. I saw it again a couple months later but for a shorter distance. It was weird.
It's unbelievable even after this much time. I went to school down on the point (Sparrows Point High School) and spent much time in my boat out there on those waters. I was 28 when they built that and never thought I would outlive it.
@@jamesdec1774 My husband said Dan edited it in for dramatic effect, but I'd like to think he picked up something- it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
I had a Oster Kitchen Center. It came with a mixing hook, dough hooks, two stainless bowls and a recipe book. You could take off the top part and buy a blender as an accessory. I loved my Oster Kitchen Center. It dates back to the early 80's. LOVED IT!! I used it all the time. And it wasn't cheap either.
When that bridge went down I kept checking your channel, I’m so relieved that you are ok, everything has been so heavy and shitty, just glad your here🦄
And now I'm waiting for Brick Immortar to get the full post-incident report so that he can make a video on this now that Dan's finally been able to reach the site after the roads nearby have been closed.
I WENT TO THE BELVEDERE HOTEL FOR MY LAST BIRTHDAY LUNCH AND THEY SAT US AND FORGOT ABOUT US EVEN THOUGH WE WERE AT A TABLE RIGHT BY THE BAR. WE WAITED 30 MINUTES FOR OUR FOOD AND THEN HAD TO CALL THE WAITER OVER TO ASK WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THEY TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT US.
My guess on the “Cancer poster” is UV faded the color just enough to make a shitty portrait of potpourri look like a great macro photo blowup of cancer.
This bridge was an integral part of my childhood, so it was a shock to me to see it come crashing down as easily as it did... Thank you Dan for documenting it, always coming through with the content, and I love the humour!! ❤
At last you didn't find any mummified mice on your shopping trip today ;p We all heard about that bridge collapse here in the UK, saw all the footage too. I feel awful for those poor migrant workers who were still on the bridge when the collision happened. I can only imagine the sheer logistical nightmare it must be for Baltimore and outlying areas to work around it. 8:39 I feel like I can taste time and smell the future after that bit of the video. I'm trippin' balls here.
We used to go up under the 35W bridge, the one that collapsed in Minneapolis, you could see the river foam, through the steel catwalk grate, floating along the river 200 feet below. We’d hang out up there. It was a excellent view of the city, but when big trucks would go over the whole structure would bounce, especially the catwalk we would hold on and told each other it was designed to do that, silly us. You just don’t think something like that would really collapse.
If you poke around you can find very, very scary engineering reports for bridges in need of repairs. They are generally done by local or state government and are published. Often with pictures.
Love these videos with randomness, I love the shopping tours and stories of Baltimore. Thank you for taking the video of the bridge, immediately thought of you when it was on the news.
I Love that Beautiful building ! I love Architecture, the older the Better. Baltimore has a lot of Great Architecture. That Hotel use to be high end, so beautiful. Crazy way to Die though. There are less Painful ways to Clock Out...
I know exactly what you mean about finding good stuff in thrift shops back in the day -- now I go in and its just Dollar store crap thats been tossed away - and its usually priced higher than the original price -- at least in my neck of the woods....
Dan at 15:36 there's a voice talking over you. The voice sounded desperate and not normal. Check it out and one last thing. Im so incredibly happy that your taking the paranormal seriously.
We'll leave it to Dan lmao. I went from feeling horrified at the site of the collapsed bridge..to almost pmsl at his "reviews" of the pictures at the thrift store in the first 5 mins. This is going to be a great night 🎉🎉🎉🎉
From what I read on Rey’s case he was killed as opposed to doing himself in. Cops said it was too far from either the hotel roof or the garage to make sense.
dan if you weren’t already a talented photographer and filmmaker you could seriously be a comedian, i almost spit out my drink when you offered that man the vibrator 😭😭😭
"its all just junk" from Faulty towers: "Its Torque Madam. what were you expecting? a view of Kilimanjaro Erupting? , great herds of Gazelle sweeping majestically across the plains? the hanging gardens of Babylon?" 🤣
Thrift stores used to be so incredible, but now all that's left in most cases of whatever dusty old junk/detritus the online resellers have picked through and declined to buy.
Beautiful building with lots of history. I remember when that case of Rey Rivera happened in 2006. You mentioning it has started a research of it now online. Sad story, but certainly mysterious.
I would love a coffee maker/radio! I go to a few different Salvation Army stores. They're the best ones to get halfway decent stuff. Great video of just randon things, long time fan here!
Spooooky. Could the lights coming on be a rat running by? Not trying to be funny. The Rey Rivera case is so mysterious, its so hard to even form how that could've happened.
So very crazy about the bridge 😢 still in disbelief 😯 the vibrator is crazy 🤣 why sell that in a thrift store 😂😂😂 that picture was unsettling 👀 sad about the guy jumping 😢😢
I wonder if it’s “bleed in” from his voice in the next clip where he’s driving up the ramp. It does sound like him although slightly higher in tone though.
I used to work for Dave Hester, and as much as I loathed him, his store had so many cool things. Sadly all from people's storage but it was interesting to find so many random items. I find nothing good at thrift stores lately. I think that was carne asada!
Dan, I realize you didn't enjoy your experience in the thrift store but I've not laughed that much at one of your videos in a while. Perhaps you could make a series out of thrift store commentary ? The teeth comment.... fuckin lol'd
Right when you said lets go up there to where ray passed. @ 15:35 ish There was an interference sound of whispering for a split mili second...unless you added for creepiness effect.
Wish I could find a pair of small diameter all brass candleholders (candlesticks) for small tapered candles. No one has them!!! Seems like tea lights are all the rage ...
When I first saw the video of the bridge collapse, my first thought was “Shit! It’s The Silver Bridge all over again!” Except of course this was caused by a collision. “Deja vu all over again” as some jock coach said
What a disaster, the collapse is crazy. Miss you Dan
miss you terribly my sweet sugar cube
@@DanBellFilmIt wtf 😂😂😂
I was lmao over the vibrator. And then he said something to the guy next to him. 🤣🤣
I was screaming. So fucking funny!
“What do they put in here? Teeth?” 😂
This line got me too 🤣
Leave it to Dan to progress from Pot Pourri to Cancer as guesses for what the artwork depicts!
"what do they put in here, teeth ?" Best comedy on RUclips !!!!
Love the thrift roasts. Dans comedy always brightens my day
It’s quite a shock when one realizes everyday icons don’t last forever. I used to stay at the Twin Towers often.
Looking at the bridge is just still so unbelievable. Makes me so sad for those families. Thanks for sharing Dan
I work for a thrift store and believe me, that stuff wouldn't even be allowed through the back door. We either refuse to take it or we throw it out. We can't generate money for our nonprofit organization selling shit.
wow seeing the collapse like that puts it all in perspective, it’s truly terrifying… I can’t imagine seeing it in person.
I was on my way to a show in Frederick, and I saw a beautiful memorial set up on Fort Armistead Road. There was a large group of people there mourning those that were lost. It was surreal, because the rest of the world is moving on and their families are still in that moment. - Eric ~ Totally Stoked.
Lol the seltzer segment got me
Imagine being one of the people who just made it off that bridge.
There's a guy who works at a bakery in Dundalk. He missed it by two minutes
The container ship actually warned the port authority or who is responsible and they closed the bridge for traffic so two cars/vans and a truck just made it across and then they hit it. Sadly it was too late for the workers... 🕯
Imagine being about to jump to self-terminate, and the bridge falling out from underneath you. That would be a weird shock feel.
As someone who likes to ship spot in Puget Sound, it's INSANE how big the Dali is compared to that bridge. And the Dali isn't even the biggest of the big!
I'm loving all the spooky stories lately
love your ghost stories at the Belvedere
Well, Dan -- we appreciate you giving us a few minutes of the Key Bridge from your perspective. Considering you mentioned during your last Saturday drive how you've driven over it countless times, it's understandable how much of a shock seeing it in the water is.
it’s unimaginable yet right there in front of me.
on the day it happened, I had to drive over a bridge to get to my doctor's appointment without a second thought. So scary and sad.
That photo of food or whatever looked positively Lynchian. What even was it??
It's unbelievable even after this much time. I went to school down on the point (Sparrows Point High School) and spent much time in my boat out there on those waters. I was 28 when they built that and never thought I would outlive it.
That was a freaky thing when you expect to see someone and then no one’s there. That’s a bit unsettling.
15:34 creeped me out! Also, that thrift store was ass. Your cheeky commentary is much appreciated ❤
Indeed! It was hysterical! 😂. His cheeky commentary is the BEST!!
At 15:34 did you hear someone whispering?. I just commented about it I'm wondering if you heard something too
I hear it...
@@jamesdec1774 My husband said Dan edited it in for dramatic effect, but I'd like to think he picked up something- it certainly wouldn't be the first time.
I actually love the radio/coffee maker. It’s basically an alarm clock that you can set to wake you up and also start a pot of coffee at the same time.
That first picture just looks like a mass of non descript flesh lmao
That's what I thought too.
looks like there is a chocolate chip in there, might be cookie dough?
OMG Dan I'm at that 2nd Ave. every Tuesday. The appliances there ALWAYS suck.
it’s a bunch of crap!!
I had a Oster Kitchen Center. It came with a mixing hook, dough hooks, two stainless bowls and a recipe book. You could take off the top part and buy a blender as an accessory. That thrift store picture looked like roadkill
When that bridge went down I kept checking your channel, I’m so relieved that you are ok, everything has been so heavy and shitty, just glad your here🦄
I’ve been waiting for you to talk about this bridge incident! Great work as always Dan!
it was clear as day..out of the corner of my eye..at night 😅
That Alka Seltzer is so soothing. 😎
More thrift store experiences is appreciated. 👍
The “family” tray for teeth sent me 🤣🤣🤣
"teeth?" lmfao
I was wondering if/when Dan was going to post about this.
And now I'm waiting for Brick Immortar to get the full post-incident report so that he can make a video on this now that Dan's finally been able to reach the site after the roads nearby have been closed.
The reaction of the doggie. Funny! :) ❤
Plop plop fizz fizz oh what a relief it is!
LMFAO 😂 that part looked like a TV commercial 😭
Thanks Dan, appreciate the thrift store laughs. I thought the prison in spring was good enough to win a 5th grade art contest.
We love a little vlog, thanks for taking us around. So sad & shocking to see the bridge collapse.

Devastating bridge 😢..thanks for showing us.
That has to be every captain's nightmare, especially knowing people died.
Dan Bell / Film It, This is fantastic! I subscribed because I love it!

Prison in the spring lmao 🤣
Unfortunately the thrift stores now cherry pick the "good stuff" to resell themselves for a not so thrifty prices.
Love these videos with randomness, I love the shopping tours and stories of Baltimore. Thank you for taking the video of the bridge, immediately thought of you when it was on the news.
That blue iridescent Starbucks mug is collectible and actually worth $20 lol.
Always check Starbucks mugs, some are incredibly valuable!

that building is awesome , the thrift shop was hilarious " excuse me sir ...do you need a vibrator " . . . .
"going to prison".....Man, you made me laugh out loud through the entire roast!
My 12 yr old daughter and I watch your videos and she laughs her ass off at the shopping ones, the rat one is her fav. 🐀
$5 for a plate at a thrift store ?!?
From China!
Unbelievable, that would be around a 10th of the price in where i live.
bidenomics =$5.00 is only worth a dollar.
That unknown picture looked like a plate of tripe.
Thank you Dan! ❤
That crepe maker's about 40. Rickles has been gone for decades and Phyllis George was a news anchor on CBS in the 80's. It should be free.
Love these thrift store explores

great video, so happy I found you!
As usual Dan’s commentary made my chuckle like crazy. lol
Thank you Dan, Ya, that cancer pic WAS gross. You make me laugh so much. I love your video!
Imagine living right on the water and hearing that god awful noise well I did and it was the saddest day of our lives
Awesome, Dan !
Hope you're doing great, buddy !
Thrift stores are all crap now. Professional resellers get to anything good before you can.
lol the Oster Kitchen Center thing is 25-150 bucks on ebay lol
Wow
The lingering shot of the alka
seltzer as it drifts out of focus is about as vintage Dan bell film making as you can get...
The architecture of The Belvidere is great! Reminds me of The Dakota from Rosemary's Baby.
Ya know I had a doctor at the belvadear a few years back and I always had an uneasy feeling going to get office , I always believed they have ghost
Who is talking under your voice at 15:30 when you say let’s go up and look? When you say his name.
I was trying to go to sleep, now I'm too spooked!
I wonder if it’s “bleed in” from his voice in the next clip where he’s driving up the ramp. It does sound like him although slightly higher in tone though.
Yeah, took me about 10 listens before thinking it might be just layered sounds between clips but it sure was spooky timed with the Rey Rivera info
@@alixsanders7945 almost makes you think it could be Rey trying to talk
I heard it also I asked Dan if he's got some good audio equipment maybe he can take a better listen and figure it out
I always enjoy the thrift roasts!

The family feeding trough is all the average family can afford now to put on the table. It's every man for themselves.
Great video Dan. Thanks 👍

Did not expect a video regarding this
I've been on that bridge several times going to Middle River.
