Red Rock Valley Speedway - Gran Turismo 6 Spec II Mod 2.0.0b7

- I decided to take a risk and install a CFW on my PS3 which is a fat 60GB model. The current mod called GT6 Spec II 2.0.0b7 (by Nenkai and TheAdmiester) is great and has all the Seasonal Events which were available and all the Driving Missions from GT4 completely redone from scratch.
Also for the Arcade Mode there's a feature called "Favourite Opponents" in the Special Settings tab, which let's you define your own opponent car pool. Definitely an amazing tool to play with. But when entering the Driving Missions this option must be turned off, otherwise it will cause the Mission Races to crash (but the game is still intact).
This mod is definitely something I recommend and am looking to see new features in the future.

This is astounding to me, because I played GT6 long enough to have messed around with the track creator but it was waaaay more limited in what it could do, so seeing a track from Gran Turismo 2 recreated fairly faithfully with it just blows my mind.
Glory to the crazy modders that make this possible!
Its not 1:1 copy sadly, they removed the tunnel...
This is amazing to see in GT6! I hope they can model the Special Stage Route X Infield Layout in the future! This modding community is beyond earth!
This mod is dead
@@miregoji2959 why?
@@drope1133 the focus is on Gran Turismo 4
@drope1133 I agree with you
I hope they can make the stage route x layout because it looks magic
To celebrate the fact its a track from GT2 it's even got GT2s terrible pop in, absolutely brilliant!!
Lmao
Wow, that's very cool! I want to keep my current PS3 original but maybe some day I will get a second one and mod that one to also look at stuff like this.
I regret not organizing an online race at this track. By the time it was released we were just about ready for GT Sport and people didn't like racing custom tracks online because of the pit stop lag bug. Despite that bug, the seasons that I did race on custom tracks were some of the more enjoyable ones. Red Rock Valley is such a cool track and it's a shame that it's only officially in GT2. This was the best recreation. Someone did one at Death Valley also but it didn't quite get some things right although I do feel that Death Valley was a better setting. The usage of overhead signs to create a tunnel without going through a solid wall was brilliant. I'm so glad people figured out how to hack the course maker API to be able to recreate tracks with proper elevation, have crossovers and also make those wacky tracks with insane elevation changes.
Yea that tunnel was flawless
Some leaks say that Red Rock Valley is coming back in GT7. When? I dunno, but considering that the most recent updates brought the cars from that secret list, it won't surprise me if the bring back Red Rock Valley at some point of GT7's lifespan. But at the moment, we can only enjoy it via GT2 or via this mod in GT6.
Holy shit that tunnel was beautiful!
So cool! I love this track, it would be awesome to see it with the sunset background and the Escudo wall riding ... The time of my life
this track should put in gran turismo 7 hopefully sony put this track in gt7
If Red Rock would return to GT7 I would be very happy to see this course again
But then again if we are getting a new course my prediction is that it’s gonna get very long like months cause making the new course takes a lot of time working on the course a lot
This is great! I really regret selling my fat 80GB.
0/10 neither the rocks nor the valley are red; i've been lied to
jk this is fantastic
also, was this made in the track creator?
Amazing!! 🤩🤩
I want to see everything on GT6 Spec II!
I wonder if a resolution mod to 1280x1080 4xMSAA like in GT5 is possible on GT6.. the 1440x1080 MLAA is ugly and possibly the reason why the framerate was worse..
Make a serie of granturismo 6 please
Leaks say this track is returning for GT7. I cannot wait to see how bad that senile guy that shall not be named will ruin the track like all the other classics he ruined and betray the fanbase once again!
Oh yeah and great video. I assume this was played in RPCS3? I knew this mod existed but I did not know you could mod the game on console
nope, all done on an actual PS3. No Emulation involved.
@@GTRufus oh wow that’s amazing to hear. What else did they add to the mod since I last checked on it about a year or two ago? Can we expect a video with the 905 with the fixed sound?
but it says that engine sounds have been fixed for over 800 cars. 905 might be one of them. Also I have never used that car in GT6 tbh.. so I don't remember how it sounded back then. :P
@@GTRufus nice. Last time I checked it was not even half the cars that got revamped engine sounds
Btw to answer you again the 905 had the same sound as the suzuki escudo, just revved up higher. In the mod they swapped it for the 905’s sound file in FM4 and it sounds like a proper V10 in the new mod.
The 905 also suffered from chronic understeer for some reason. You could remove all the downforce from the audi R18 and it would turn the corners in indy speedway 30 kmh faster than the 905 on default downforce
@@ruzgarakgul2051 Removing downforce was the best thing for oval driving. Lower front than rear ride height, high dampers, and no camber. (Camber was bugged in GT6. You would want camber on a GT5 tune.)
Show grindweld, tahiti road, rome and seattle short.
