It’s like looking in a mirror when I see and hear you. I did give up drinking for 5 years, I’m disabled now, have been for 15 years, I suffer severe chronic pain, caused by a major spinal surgery going horribly wrong. My weight ballooned, and now to top it off I have chronic osteoarthritis in both knees, bone on grating bone. I should have stayed off it but an holiday in Turkey one year saw the beginning of this long stretch of drinking. I have without fail either 6-7 or 8 cans of 9% beer a day. Of which I’m thoroughly ashamed of. My wife of 45 years has had to give up other pleasures to finance my drinking. I feel like crying now as I write this. 10 years ago I was diagnosed with chronic pancrititis and goodness knows what state my liver is in. I have large doses of morphine daily and when I go for my yearly blood tests jacking in for a week or so seems to be hiding my (secret) from my gp ? I’m 65 years old now and the way I feel I ain’t sure I’ll see much more. I can’t write all down there is too much. Oh I’m all but housebound now, 6ft 2inches and about 25 stone which I hate with a vengeance. I don’t normally open up about this but after watching one of your videos I’ve decided to have one last shot at being sober, God Bless Dave
Hello Dave sorry for my late response. What a story you have. I was very close to death and have managed to escape it narrowly. Regards your health issues everything will improve if you can get sober. I can help you because if I can do it you can.
