Hello everyone! I've been 13 months sober and I am feeling fantastic! I'm really proud of myself. I never thought I'd be here. A year ago I thought it would be SO cool if i made it to a year. And now I'm there. 🤗
@@GettingSoberAgain I had this horrible habit of killing it at the gym and drinking every night. After awhile I would stop taking all the supplements and protein shakes. I thought, if I'm killing my liver and Kidneys with drank I should stop asking it to filter all this other stuff too. Then I would just stop working out all together. It was just a bad method all the way around. Drunken wisdom ...
When I quit I started taking a B complex , hibiscus for blood pressure normalization, vitamin D, berberine, plus magnesium and potassium . And I eat plenty of protein, mostly leaner red meats. Feels great.
Hey Jae, (sp?), never seen you bro, like your energy. The "again" part applies to me, as do all of the reasons - accident/ injuries/ every kind of loss/ constant pain/ no one understanding/ spiritual disappointment, etc. etc. Working on it, bro. Cheers!

Hello friends!!! Currently on the journey but feeling the effects but I’m taking supplements and drinking a lot of carrot juice with turmeric and ginger. Drinking tea as well and water. Today is the first day of rest of my life. Wish me luck.
B1 is absolutely the most important b vitamin you should be taking for your brain if you’re withdrawing every single hospital I’ve been to I said that’s the most important one for your brain to function normally again.✊🏼
@@GettingSoberAgain And I’m definitely looking forward to more videos I just found your page but you’re doing some awesome work keep up the good job it’s much appreciated.✊🏼🫂♥️🙏
The main problem after quitting isn't necessarily the vitamins and minerals, but the lack of high quality carbohydrates to compensate for the hypoglycemic state that chronic drinkers face. If you are eating right, these nutrients won't be the issue. Taking CBD can help with some of the anxiety and panic that happens afterwards too. If that isn't strong enough, in some cases maybe THC, though this has a risk of creating more paranoia and hypoglycemic issues. Really, truly, hypoglycemia and low GABA is the main threat in recovery.

Hi, thanks for the video. I'm just confused about one thing you said, that folic acid (b9) is the same as b12? Getting worried that I'm getting too much of a good thing.
b9 is folic acid. B12 is cobalamin. stay AWAY from Cyanocobalamin. Cyanocobalamin, a synthetic form of vitamin B12, contains a cyanide molecule. The name "cyanocobalamin" comes from the cyanide group in its molecule. I didn't know at the time that the Nature's Made B vitamins have Cyanocobalamin 😭
We've all been there. Just remember, sobriety is a journey and you will have detours. As you become a more seasoned navigator, you will find yourself on detours less and less!
Can these vitamins help me slow down but not stop fully, I'm only 20 and am in college so don't want to really quit but get back into being a social drinker, or are they only really affective for people doing full detox?
Vitamins and supplements help your body to gain the necessary building blocks to help repair and build a healthy body, before, during and after alcohol use and other bad decisions. There is no miracle pill, but there are better decisions. The more better decisions we make, the more they add up. Invest in the best version of you!
Man I messed up again.. this year I’ve gone 80 days and then I just went 124 days without alcohol. I just went on a 2 week binged after injuring my shoulder at work
Always stick to organic everything. Anything conventionally grown is going to be doused in pesticides, herbicides and fungicides that washing alone will not remove. The quality of the soil on conventional farms is also been depleted over the years and in addition to conventionally grown Foods vegetables nuts seeds being covered in chemicals, they're all so nutrient deficient. Look for antioxidant heavy foods, dark leafy greens. Broccoli, kale, avocado, apple, banana, cranberries, spinach, ginger, turmeric etc. Don't forget to do your sobriety shout out sign up at our website www.gettingsoberagain.com

Adding vitamins to my diet after quitting drinking was a game changer.
I feel very fortunate that I never stopped taking them. Lord knows where I could have been if I didn't keep up with my diet and exercise 🙏

True
Absolutely true, B1 is very important. They just gave it to me at the hospital on Saturday
Short ,to the point & informative!!.. Thanks!😄
Badda bing badda BOOM
Do you take all of those supplements every day?
Thank you for the list!
Thanks for the help! I wish id found you before im about 55 hours in
I would add Glutathione, and NAC. And do D3 with K2, some magnesium. A B complex would be best.
I have them all in my cupboard! 💪🏼
Milk Thistle as well.
I felt so good in the hospital and this is what they gave me 🤔
Thank you 🤓
Whatcha mean?
@GettingSoberAgain folic acid, multi vitamin and thiamine

I agree that creating new and better habits are certainly a great idea!
cold showers are good
Is there any all in one type of supplement? Or is there a link to all of the supplements listed on here in a Amazon wish list type of page
Thanks a bunch, Jae!
My pleasure 🥰
#1- klonopin lolll jk. As a former opiate addict, your principles still work for any drug

folic acid is synthetic vitamin b9. b12 is called cobalamin. Love the content though!!
Exactly, that confused me too.
My second attempt I stoped for a week and made the mistake of thinking a few beers can’t do any harm

Always consult your healthcare provider first before taking any new supplements =)
Great info. Thanks.
I'm glad you like what I was able to whip up this afternoon 😎
Kudzu high quality herb breaks the craving.

Does magnesium glycinate also help??
Yes it does help tremendously… I take Calm.
Can you detox without dying if you take these?
I put vitamin A1 on my steak 😋
I put grilled onions and mushrooms on mine with a red wine and butter reduction

pomegranate juice helps purify your blood. probably cranberry and grapes as well
I mostly think, as a 25 year drinker sober a year, that I could eat all the vitamins in the world and it wouldn’t matter. Boo.
This may be a hard pill to swallow... but if you ate all the vitamins in the world, you'd be dead Stephanie.

😂😂😂
wrong; it reduces/ curbs/eliminates cravings
First step is wanting to.
vitamin B is in beer so vitamin B is not critical xD
B1 is the most important
